| Rena getting a chance to get along with someone other than Mai. Nah, technically she's not "cheating" since she and Mai aren't dating yet. Ajisai seems like a friendly person though. Mai was also hilarious in this episode. She looked like someone that came to a bachelorette party. |

| Things are getting very spicy. I expected this to get dramatic at some point. Ajisai is such a kind and adorable girl. Now I'm exactly not sure if I want Renako x Mai or Renako x Ajisai, hehe. Anyway, I wish them all to be happy one day. <3 |

| Oh so they did THAT scene today omg??? This GOT SPICY. I see why LN readers were feeling some type of way. Mai I understand you yearning and down bad for Renako, but the word of the day is “consent” it’s cool to mess around and tease Renako WITHIN REASON, but when it comes to taking that next big step, you need to make sure she’s onboard with that! Glad they didn’t shy away from this even though it’s an uncomfortable scene, Mai was going way too fast and needed to be told off. More on that later tho. “Am I falling for a girl?” Not Renako cheating on Mai after she’s gone for a DAY 😭 the way I don’t blame her at all though and would’ve instantly folded if Ajisai came up to me like that. I get it. Also Renako is real af for being a man hater and not being comfortable around boys. Ajisai’s probably the first person who got asked to hang with guys and chose to spend time with Renako instead so given her previous negative experiences, that probably got her extra emotional. Ngl though, playing the same game with Ajisai that she played with Mai that was meant to be something special between them is kinda crazy. It speaks to the fact that she still hasn’t associated those actions with a relationship and is seeing them as things friends do, while Mai thinks of that as romantic and something for a couple. I like this series emphasis on intent behind actions being so important. Couples and friends do a lot of the same things, but it’s the intent behind it that changes the meaning! Also, is that a PS5 pro lol? Ending scene’s definitely hard to watch. Mai needs some boundaries established because honestly showing up at someone’s house unannounced and then indirectly making their company leave and getting all touchy feely without concern for how THEY feel isn’t healthy at all. Should’ve got consent to show up AND consent before she started trying to have sex with Renako especially since she’d already said “no”! I don’t think Mai’s a bad person, just inexperienced and going thru an emotional whirlwind, but now things are gonna get interesting. Looks like Renako’s sister is gonna know she’s gay now and that’s a whole other issue. Really good episode I caved and ordered the first two books can’t wait for them to get here |

| Ajisai seems really nice and the friendship seemed to be working pretty well despite Renako being unsure of what to do. The gaming session seemed nice and Haruna also seemed to be pretty interested in her sisters friends. Mai pushed it a bit to far towards the end tho. I wonder how they make up this situation. |
| This episode sure made the girls chest very big (I love it), mainly female MC and Ajisai And the "controversial" moment in the manga/light novel finally gets adapted. Finally, a spicy yuri moment. Sadly, this anime is going very vanilla, as they are not adding tongues nor ear-licking nor saliva, like in the manga. They didnt even add the blonde's hand almost going into the vajayjay of the female MC during that ecchi scene at the end. COME ON!!!!!! DONT CUT OUT THE SPICY MOMENTS!!!!!!!!!!! And LOL at the sister's facial reaction when she caught her sister and the blonde together at the end, hahahahaha |

| What an episode. Renako being with someone else other than Mai feels like a breath of fresh air because of her forceful nature. Ajisai is definitely a potential favorite of mine right now, shes probably my favorite actually. Mai deserved that slap to be honest. She was being way too forceful at that scene, did not like that. 5/5 |
| We got both good comedy and drama in this one. Renako ends up more lost than ever after passing through all kind of emotions this episode: clearly crazy about Mai at the beginning, but then also developing a crush (or is she?) on her friend Ajisai, then getting confronted to her social anxiety about making friends a few times (sometimes it's just funny but at other moments it's a bit sad), and of course the last scene which manages to make us uncomfortable, but still feel realistic (considering the characters personalities and the situation), while also having a weirdly funny moment (the little sister walking in right at the wrong moment -an absolute classic in romcoms) and leaves us hanging and guessing: what's going to happen now? I bet there is still going to be a lot of comedy in this show (considering the happy-go-lucky OP theme at least), but we now also are going to have a good deal of drama it feels. We'll see. |

| Reading the first novel right after episode 1 feels like it's turned the experience of watching last two episodes into a time bomb of Hitchcockian suspense where I was nervously waiting for that final moment to be adapted. I have mixed feelings about it, though for reasons which have a lot more to do with stuff that'll be adapted next episode than this one, but I feel like the anime mostly did the best with the given material (though I can't say I liked the attempts at a comedic beat right before Haruna walked in in either medium). It felt a bit more palatable in execution here than I remember the source being, at least Anyway, despite my misgivings with the execution in the source material, I found the moment to be one of the more conceptually strong aspects of Renako & Mai's relationship at this point in the story while I was reading because, well, Mai going too far and Renako overtly telling her off like this is a decent foundation for actually confronting the issues of their relationship WRT Mai's lack of respect for boundaries rather than just playing it for laughs, and I found this version of the scene helped that quality shine through a lot more. I have my issues with how the material that'll be adapted next episode handles the aftermath, but I'm trying to keep my thoughts focused on just the material in this episode, and I'll probably be ranting a bit more next week if the anime's spin on the material doesn't change my mind about it (I frankly don't expect it to, but I'm trying to keep an open mind). On a different note, Ajisai date was quite cute, she truly is an angel |

| Episode 3 of Rena coping that she's not gay came and passed and was another great one, Idk if Rena actually had something happen in her past which made her hate guys or if she just generally feels uncomfortable around them regardless im curious. Im gonna assume the scene at the end was the SA scene every reader of the Light novel was referring too, if im being honest its just another case of it felt really like idk comedic until like the last few moments. If that's all it was people are blowing this out of proportion. There's far worser things out there and again it just didn't feel serious until her sister walked in and then the vibe changed. Mai obviously was wrong, I mean she literally has 0 boundaries with Rena but like come on you guys bathed together and now Rena's acting up? Like the way Rena handles Mai is very all over the place. Which in a sense is very fitting for Mai as a character. Again Mai is being forceful but its not like up until now Rena's actually been that against it. Plus I feel like eventually its just gonna hurt Mai if Rena keeps this up. But at least I feel like this moment between them will be a wake up call for Mai. Maybe I have gotten spoiled on the outcome of Rena's relationship and its not what I was expecting at all really. Little disappointed by what I heard happens but also it seems to be a pretty unique direction. At least in this genre I feel like after a while Rena's coping is just gonna get annoying so I really do hope that some actual romantic progression happens with her. Like mentally I mean. I really love Rena's character but I hope they don't keep the gag running for too long. I really love this anime but if im being honest its walking on a tightrope with how its handling everything. |

| @Dignity Check the covers of the Light Novel for the order of arcs. The first four volumes are a full cycle, or, as the author puts it, Season 1 of the series. The anime is still on Volume 1, Mai's arc. |
| I don't like when they push the "jealousy" too far. Hearing on the phone that she is spending time with someone else, and her being jealous is one thing, of course she would react to that in France. But having her arrive earlier, show up uninvited, cause her trouble, whether for drama or humor, or both, it was quite annoying. It would have been nice to have the episode end with the two friends finishing out their time together instead. Then later, when she comes back from France, she ask her what happened, what did they do, etc, that would have flowed better and not felt so forced. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating. |

But yeah Mai was too aggressive and putting moves like that in Renako's home with her sister around was dumb. I wonder if/how they will make up and if Ajisai suspects that they're in a relationship. |

| I know I and many other romance enjoyers decry how slow many romance anime are, to the point that the leads can barely bring themselves to hold hands by the end of a season. But this has progressed really fast and poor Renako has just been dragged along in Mai's wake. It hasn't helped that Mai has played fast and lose with the boundaries Renako set in regards to how she wears her hair. In my opinion it was a kind of silly rule but I think Renako took it seriously. We'll have to see what the fallout is like next week. Will Renako retreat back into her shell or will the other girls take her side over Mai moving too fast for her comfort? |

| I think all the sides were wrong. Yes it was super awkward especially for Renako's sister to see them like that and Mai should have limited her horniness but I genuinely think Renako 99% must take the blame for this incident. She knew they weren't alone and she didn't lock the door when her sister left the room initially so she should have been the first to block Mai's advances. Hopefully this ''damsel in distress'' trait of Renako won't be overused to the point it becomes unbearable to watch. |
