| #10 is about to become a weapon, and the vice commander will use it. He’ll be stronger than before, and it looks like we’re heading into the next part of the story. Interesting... And yeah, the classic high-level meetings there. Better be ready, or history will repeat itself. As for the whole thing with Reno at the end, kinda was unexpected, but I guess that’s the only way to bring back a character most of us had forgotten. |

| Kaiju No. 10, who had been held captive by the Third Unit, regains consciousness. Hoshina, the designated vice-captain of the Third Unit, is approached by Kaiju No. 10 with a proposal. Meanwhile, at Ariake Rinkai Base, an Eastern Division meeting is being held. As countermeasures against Kaiju No. 9, which has become the greatest threat, are discussed, Hoshina reveals some surprising information. I really laughed when the turf thing happened. Reno will be the key to fighting against the new generation of Kaiju.  |

| Seeing the various abilities of the Kaiju that humans use as weapons now like number 1 just makes me think how tf they ever beat these things. Thankfully they can use some of those abilities as weapons now! Good to see Reno back plot relevant again, it’s gotta be some insane pressure to be chosen essentially as humanity’s dark horse hope for survival, but he’s taking it in stride. This also gives him something in common with his beloved senpai Kafka. Pretty chill transitional episode, I liked seeing some of the inter JDF politics like the rivalry with Hoshina and Narumi and it’s nice to get some focus on a new division. You know a series’ cast is good when you can go an episode without the main character and not even notice he’s gone. |

I like how in the first Division, the vice captain get more respect than the captain (Narumi).
The magnitude system always amaze me, instead of earthquake, this is a world where Japan get kaiju invasion instead, and kaiju did the same damage as earthquake appropriate to his magnitude.
Oh, the little moment that show Isao Shinomiya (which is now kaiju no.9) sitting in his lair like a demon king sit on his throne arouse me.

| Pretty good episode. I like what they're doing with No. 10 and Hoshina. Why does Ichikawa have the potential to use No. 6, though? Did they run a compatibility test or something? Sheer shounen willpower? It doesn't fully make sense to me |

| No. 10 calling Hoshina Katana Man is kinda funny. So much lore drop in this episode. So, No. 9 created No. 10. That was obvious. Also, I just assumed kaijus were some type of sea creature that reproduced normally like other animals. But apparently, they're created by the earth itself? That's pretty cool. Never could've guessed that. Explains how kaijus are still so mysterious at least. But that creates the question of how No. 9 came into being. He seems like an anomaly. So, No. 10 is going to become a weapon for Hoshina? That's so cool. But since he's a sentient kaiju it might turn out to be something like Kafka. Hoshina being scared is funny. But I'm sure he'd be able to handle it. So, all the divisions must come together in order to face this new threat. It was funny how the 1st and 3rd divisions act like middle school delinquents fighting over territory. Guess they need to put that behind them. But this also means that all the characters who were broken apart in season 1 will again be reunited. That's exciting. Reno is going to become No. 6's wielder huh. I thought it might be Kikoru since that's the kaiju that killed her mom and all. Reno being the most compatible surprised me. Wonder how he'd do. He's got the spirit at least. Guys like him who're willing to do anything AND end up doing it are intimidating. |

| We learned some interesting stuff in this one, like No. 9 being able to create kaiju and that No. 10 is one of them, and also the theory on how kaiju came to be (unless we learned that already and I just forgot lol). Well if No. 9 can just create kaiju like 10, and 10 is apparently a prototype, I think humanity is about to be in for a terrible time, but it will be interesting to see what strategies the Defense Force employs to counteract that, as well as how they’re going to get around No. 9 having Isao’s knowledge of the Defense Force inside and out. And we already saw an instance of the Defense Force changing things up here with Ichikawa taking up the mantle for Kaiju No. 6’s weapon, which nobody could use after all this time, and damn No. 6 looked really badass, I can see why he was considered the king, I just wish we could actually see the battle that went down. And seeing the effects of No. 6’s weapon on Ichikawa was very cool, I really liked the way it was done, and damn Ichikawa is a trooper for wanting to stick with it after that, boy’s got determination if nothing else. Also, No. 10 wanting to become a weapon is a bit surprising, but his reasoning being to fight the stronger kaiju made after him is pretty badass honestly, now I’m kinda rooting for No. 10 lol, it’ll be cool to see him become Hoshina’s weapon. |
| Loved the episode. Glad Reno hasn’t been forgotten, bro was way too cool and such an aura farmer, just like Gen and Sōshirō, to be overlooked. I hope he succeeds in the neutralization mission Jūgo gave him so he can synchronize with #6 and fully equip him as a numbered weapon. Reno aside, now that #10’s part of the deal is done, I can’t wait for Sōshirō to hold up his end and synchronize with #10. Can’t wait to see how that turns out, #10 beating Sōshirō and taking over his body? Or Sōshirō beating #10 and equipping him? Can't wait to see how the synchronization battle unfolds! |

| This was a well paced episode, I'm satisfied. One of the best of the series for world building. Glad to see Hoshina, Mina and Reno back in the spotlight Also Narumi got slimed by Hoshina 😭 loved that scene Pretty cool how even with the squad beef, both of them respect Hasegawa     |
| good episode but damn does the author needs to work on writing dialogues.. i mean i am expecting a lot from a shounen anime but even AOT had some well thought dialogues.. and that was a shounen.. Glad we got to see the 3rd division again and alot of Hoshino.. not that much Hibino surpirisingly.. which is nice.. was really expecting to see Kafka being mentioned in the conference but also surpirisngly wasn't.. One of the better aspects of a story is when it actually focuses on world building instead of just the main character.. the Old director being the face of the Kaiju no 9 is pretty cool not gonna lie.. Really love over sized human sized Kaiju.. Also EXTREMELY happy that the strongest Kaiju is infact a look alike of Godzilla! let's freaking goooo! |

It's a shame that this will probably be the last season of Kaiju No. 8 because of the fact that 1) The manga ended and there's no point making more seasons when the source material is finished, and 2) The blu-ray sales were abysmal and this is a late-night anime.

The author talked about a new series and the gatcha game has 1 million pre registrations. They're making a ton of money from merchs. Physical manga and BD sales don't matter anymore in the age of streaming and online manga. It also broke the record for being the fastest shonen to reach 30 million views on Shonen Jump+ and is currently at 400 million views. |

| Well when it's possible to make new kaiju by yourself and grab all the informations possible by eating humans the situation can't be even more threatening xD but it's interesting to see that n°10 could end up being a weapon by their side. Don't know where this Reno thing is going when he can't use the n°6 yet but might be in the future |

| alright Reno get's to fight alongside Kafka with the numbers weapon. and even hoshina get's a power upgrade with kaiju 10 weapon. it looks like shinomiya's mom die by exhaustion using a numbers weapon. that's sad. her dad would've died that way too if kaiju 9 didn't absorb him |
