| Ye, definitely not a fan of Usumi but this episode adds some more drama. It was an awkward moment for Kazuya to come with Chizuru to that party. Even more awkward that he has to play the role of a producer. Idk maybe this episode serves as a test to see how honest Kazuya can be with himself and others. Chizuru is probably lowkey feeling stress from all this. |

| Nice to see how Kazu's gran is up to date with tech. Chi's outfit choices are as sharp as ever. The terrace was quite the venue. Well considering who she is the social circle for Chi was not gonna be something that Kazu can just walk into after all. Interesting question that Kazu asked though but Chi's answer was equally so. |

| Disappointed after they set up Mami last week to not see her in this episode at all 😭 Best part of the franchise smh. I will give Kazuya credit for going to the bbq with Chizuru and brushing shoulders with so many big time idols/actors. Umi is a sneaky little fucker tho, the way he tried messing with Kazuya by gassing him up and then dropping chizuru’s “I don’t not like him” line, he knows what he’s doing.. gotta be careful around dudes like that. The fact Chizuru invited Kazuya there for both of their peace of minds because she knows how Umi feels is sweet. Icl she did look cute today in that outfit. |

Watching this season while being caught up on the manga is an experience to say the least. With everything that has happened we're still very much in the same place. I do wish the animation was given more love this season, it looks pretty cheap in places.

| Most of this episode was at that party but it felt like so much happened, I really liked this one. Kazuya was a pilgrim in an unholy land at that party, he dressed the part but he still managed to stand out lol, but surprisingly he had good interactions with both Mizuhara and Umi, all without embarrassing himself in the process, I’lll give Kazuya the W for that one. The conversation with Umi was really interesting tho, the crowdfunding thing was just a front I think but damn he was kinda sneaky dropping that “I don’t not like him” line, was not expecting that, but Kazuya handled that well and even got in a picture with a big time actor, he’s brushing it off now but he’s slowly building up those connections unknowingly. But the Mizuhara bits were something else man, first of all she was looking beautiful in that dress, and secondly she had some really nice moments with Kazuya, like when he relayed Umi’s line to her and then later when he asked what Mizuhara thought of having a partner, I’m liking the balls of Kazuya so far this season. And I’m sure we’re still a ways off from them becoming a couple, but the last moments of this episode were the bee’s knees, it really feels like Kazuya has broken down most of Mizuhara’s barriers, like it’s just a matter of time until they get together, of course Ruka and Mami are still on the playing field and will shake things up, but I’m still a fan of where the main couple is at. And hey, even if the progress stagnates, it just means we’re gonna get more good moments like this going forward. |

you don't realize how insufferable this show is cus your not watching the good romance. this season we have several peak romances my dress up darling and The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity you seriously should go watch these right now

| Rent a Girlfriend expecting me to remember shit smh 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ 39 episodes in and Kazuya is still: surprised whenever Chizuru appears at his door (despite being NEIGHBORS), glazing every single feature of Chizuru when she's in a new outfit, and moping around when Chizuru isn't paying him attention for 5 seconds. This episode was the usual Rent a Girlfriend fare. The two dumbasses go over to a party with that Umi guy, and essentially nothing happens. Umi talks to Kazuya and is like "i dont not like him" and it took me like 5 minutes to remember that Chizuru said this. Like seriously Rent a Girlfriend you can't expect me to remember everytime Chizuru is a tsundere bitch. So yeah Kazuya and Chizuru then have a conversation about dating and Kazuya reaffirms for the thousandth time that he likes Chizuru and junk. |

| @Ahohite-killer To be fair, sono bisque doll also doesn't make any progress in the romance direction for the very same reason. But since it is only the second season, it is not quite that annoying yet and at least the cosplay part of it works well. |

| I enjoyed the change of scenery with a cool rooftop party. Feels like Umi is ultimately supportive of Kazuya and Chizuru, with him wanting to hear Kazuya's interpretation of what Chizuru said. Ultimately it feels like this series always treads familiar ground nearly every episode with Kazuya coming to another "realization" of how amazing Chizuru is. Like, we get it, please move on with some development. But who am I kidding, that's what this series is known for. At least it seems like he's now determined to confess. Still makes me wonder where that puts Ruka in all of this. |
