| And to kick off the night of CW romances, we have quite possibly one of the most anticipated ones ever: the return of the AoButa franchise on TV... not theaters for once. Seriously, after those last two movies, I could not care less about this franchise as a whole anymore. They've really soured my taste for the show tbh. Even so, I can't help but smile at the fact that these guys are all really back here. Missed ’em, to say the least. But yeah, our boys have grown up and now they're in uni, so things are a bit different than before ofc. Though, some things never change, and puberty syndrome is just as prevalent in our boy Sakuta's life as it was last time we were here. This time, it’s in the form of this idol group leader or whatever. I expected them to continue the whole thing with Touko from the last movie, but this works as well for now, I guess. Decent return. It was just nice to see the characters back, and damn man, this moved more than I expected it to. Looking at the PVs and all, I expected this to look the worst of the three CW shows tonight, but damn, this looked decent ngl. OP was good too, nice to see they kept the whole Sakuta running thing here xD |

| Been sooo long since we had a genuine running TV season for this series. Seriously, I didn’t like how we had two more movies after the first one, I mean they could’ve just decided to make a second season back then itself, covering those arcs plus this present one, but yeah, that didn't happen and we had to wait. Sheesh, what can’t be changed can’t be changed. Anyway, I find it hilarious how we jumped straight into the stuff, without any sort of recap and stuff lol. Repeating the last few minutes of the latest movie and that’s it. Still, you just know a decent amount of time has passed in the series, I mean Sakuta’s in college. And hey, he’s having those random encounters in college as well lol. Seriously, how that new girl and Sakuta managing without a fucking phone, in college?!?!? It’s just practically impossible sort of, I mean how would you know about a lot of stuff, like notes for an instance lol?? Anyway, THESE GUYS ARE IN COLLEGE AND THEY’RE STILL TALKING AND EXPERIENCING STUFF AROUND PUBERTY SYNDROME. Lmaooo. Almost all of them being in the same college is pretty hilarious too. Though yeah, this is what I missed about this series. The slow build-up to yet another victim of puberty syndrome. Uzuki’s the one facing stuff this time. Now yeah, whatever comes for their idol group and such going forward. Santa girl is also making rounds, but I think that’s for later. I liked the return. Btw, nothing is going to top that ED from the first season… NOTHING!!! |
| Mitou and Sakuta go to enjoy a party with their friends. I love Miori's reaction when she offers breath mints because she wants to meet Mai-senpai. I also like Kaeda's reaction when she suggests bringing a phone, but Mai-san is already used to that. They also mention a girl who can only be seen by Sakuta. Mai-san only stops by briefly, but I feel it's better to take her home. Mitou gets to know Mitou, and wow, Mitou is surprised to find out that Sakuta has a younger sister. Uzuki is truly a popular idol. It has been half a year since Sakuta started his campus life. In October, Sakuta met Nodoka-san, who also attends the same university. Nodoka is worried about the idol group (Sweet Bullet) she is part of, particularly because of the increasing number of solo offers that Uzuki is receiving. |

| Novelist Hajime Kamoshida's Seishun Buta Yarou series is back with Santa Claus, though you NEED to have watched the canon movies of Dreaming Girl, Sister Venturing Out and Knapsack Kid BEFORE getting into this one. Sakuta is back being his usual with Mai and the rest of the girls, though the Puberty Syndrome still lingers, and that he's well-adept in the the syndrome that's affected them thus far. However, between the University Arc, stands him, along with Nodoka as well as Shoko, and then the main character of the series: the hidden character of Miniskirt Santa herself. |

| The characters are all back together and it's like they never left, except they did, Sakuta got a new haircut, the beginning is the same scene as the end of the third movie, they're all in university/college now, excited to see where this show takes us |

| Well an interesting start so far. All the characters we missed where introduced this episode and some new ones as well. And it seems everyone is doing pretty well. Tho are main already has some troubles he can solve and a santa girl that's stalking him. |

| Been ages since the first season, the movies were nice too but a full on tv season just feels different. The character designs looks a bit different for the girls I think? We got a glimse of santa girl in the library too. Excited to see how things unfold. |

| Fine start for the return of Bunny Girl Senpai on TV. The opening gives similar vibes as the one for S1. Here's me hoping that this series can somehow get back to how peak it was during the very first 3 episodes. Watching it weekly in 2018 was something else. |

| I’m so glad we’re finally back to tv episodic format for this series, I feel that the movies just weren’t able to replicate the same feelings as S1 but I’ve got hopes that this will get back to that level. Obviously early days still but kimi no sei by the peggies - it’ll be hard to truly replace that as the Op facade of the series. Topping the ED is probably impossible considering the movies promoted that quite a bit too Hopefully, both will grow on me as we go though. It’s been a while since I’ve heard shishunki (puberty syndrome), damn. Two non-smartphone users, that’s pretty rare these days, lol. Right back at you, Sakuta-ya. Million dollar question is whether Santa is Mitou-san now - she did hint at something there too. I wonder how it’ll tie up to Uzuki and Nodaka eventually… I’m so glad Futaba-san is still here! That snarky comment from Sakuta’s junior followed by her casual sigh was spot-on. |

| The first Clover Works romance of the day. Probably my most anticipated series this season so I'm super excited on how everything will go. Our boy Sakuta is in Uni now which I'm really proud of him. Everyone else has grown up and I'm really glad to see that Kaede has grown up as well. As soon as I saw Sakuta go in the library I was like "someone is going to show up" and I was right. Mini-skirt Santa just randomly showed up. She obviously has something to do with Uzuki being different because Nodoka clearly knew that something was off about her. And speaking of Nodoka, Sweet-Bullet is going to be one of the main plots of this story which I'm really interested about. That cliffhanger sucked by the way. 5/5 |

| Good to see this back again in regular TV-anime episode form. Sure, there's been 3 movies between now and season 1, but I did prefer the old TV format for this series. The last two movies were really underwhelming compared to the first movie, but at least this episode felt a bit different to me. A whole new setting with Sakuta now in university, some familiar faces and some newer ones to witness different Puberty Syndrome situations with, and some dynamics in question like with Uzuki and the identity of Touko looming too, and the Santa outfit wearing mysterious person. Wasn't the most memorable or entertaining return, actually felt a lot more tame as a whole but mature in its own way given these guys are growing up now. Hope there's something interesting to this season to look forward to. New whole song for the ED this time around, not just different singers doing the old one this time around. |

So I’ll combine my reaction for all the first episodes of these three anime: * *Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru Season 2* * *Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku* * *Seishun Buta Yarou wa Santa Claus no Yume wo Minai* Believe it or not—today is my birthday (according to the Hijri calendar)! Could I have possibly received a better gift than this? Marin may not be from my all-time favorite anime—but a whole new season of Marin? We missed her! As for the second anime!! My friend at university wouldn’t shut up about it! He keeps saying it’s the best, and he even says I’m exactly like the main character—we’re super alike, apparently. And *Bunny Senpai*... ahhh, it’s one of my top 10 anime ever! I never get tired of it—it’s beautiful. I missed Sakuta! I truly love this series! | Happy to be back with this one! The first season moved me so much all those years ago, and the movies, which I followed haphazardly, were also still shockingly resonant. I'm looking forward to seeing these characters again. I don't remember the Hirokawa girl. Apparently she's an idol with Mai's sister? When did she meet Sakuta? And who is Fukuyama? I'm assuming he's a college classmate. And are Nodoka and Hirokawa older than Sakuta? It seems like they're more established at college than he is. I've missed these conversations between Sakuta and Mai. Candid, but concise, humorous, but also rather cold for a couple. Always a fun watch. The scene full of tension between Nodoka and Hirokawa was also well-done. Very thick. Very obvious setup for more weirdo supernatural stuff. |

| I’m just wondering how tf it’s been 7 years since season 1. I haven’t seen all the movies, so some parts of this were a little confusing to me. I didn’t know they were in college now wtf 😭 think the last I saw was the movie from 2019? Still enjoyed the premiere and am looking forward to this Santa arc. This kinda felt like one big flex for Sakuta. Bro truly is surrounded by some of the most beautiful women on earth, but he’s earned their trust and respect from all the things he’s done in this series. Seems surreal to see he and Mai hanging out at his apartment after everything they’ve been through. I’m already a big fan of Miorin. I thought she was voiced by Akane seiyuu, but she’s actually the voice of Mahiru from Tenshi Sama. Really cool character so far, love her interactions with Sakuta. Wonder what the whole connection between Uzuki and Santa is and who that mysterious Touka singer is too. I reckon they’ll all be linked. Glad to have some good mystery back on the menu. |

| #CloverWorks_night I just finished rewatching the series, and im gonna say we are so back!!! - A year (+5 months?) after the 3rd movie, Mai-san focused on her work for that year and waited for Sakuta to graduate, they are now in the same year. - I didn't even realized that Uzuki and Nodoka are of the same year but here they are. - Sakuta and Futaba working as teachers in a cram school? cool - Kunimi just passed his firefighter license exam - Kaede is now also working a part-time job in Benny's And a whole bunch of new characters! - Fukuyama seems to be the new school friend - Mitou Miori who is definitely a new heroine - Akagi Ikumi is also here (she was introduced in the 3rd movie) - "Kirishima Touko", the mysterious girl that Shouko-chan told Sakuta about I LOVE THIS COUPLE SO MUCH Idk but Mai-san looks so much younger now, or just because Sakuta is now "matured" (movie 3 flashbacks, im crying) Mitou telling Sakuta about the Puberty Syndrome, oh if she knows how this guy was involved in a lot of those First heroine is the airhead idol Zukki, her having a completely personality switch and being able to read the room, yeah sounds like a case of Puberty Syndrome. That Santa Girl standing behind Azusagawa was kinda creepy lol No more Fukashigi no Karte ending ; - ; I LOVE THE CONTON CANDY OPENING |

| Feels great to be back watching an actual TV anime season of Rascal/Seishun Buta again, the movies were great but I really prefer a proper batch of episodes, I also feel like putting three movies between Season 1 and this season was a bad move for the hype lol, but hey this new entry coming around got me to rewatch the original season and finally check out the movies, so better late than never. And wow it sure is different seeing everyone out of high school now, they’re all mostly the same but it really does add to that feeling of seeing old friends after so long, but man we’re still dealing with adolescence/puberty syndrome in college huh? I think they gotta change the name if it’s happening after actual puberty lol. But looks like starting out we’re dealing with an Uzuki focused arc, she had a big role in the Sister Venturing Out movie so I’m happy to see her getting direct focus, and we don’t have many details yet besides what started the situation, but it looks like she changed completely over night and there’s also a miniskirt Santa walking around, are they related or are they not, the plot thickens lol, I did really like that callback to Season 1 tho when Sakuta was in the library and saw a sexy Santa walking around, much like a certain bunnygirl before. And that was a very nice OP by Conton Candy, I really liked their Sakamoto Days ED so it’s nice to hear them again, it’s really hard to beat that original OP but I think this one holds a candle to it, same goes for the ED, I was wondering if they would keep going with Fukashigi no Carte but really a change was needed and I think they nailed it, this first version featuring Uzuki was very nice, I’m looking forward to seeing how it changes over the course of the season because surely it’s going to lol. |
| Seeing where all the characters are after just a year and a half and comparing it to where they started makes one almost feel nostalgic. Even with their part time jobs they still go to Sakuta for what comes off as a therapy session as he's quite the good listener and not just a womanizer as other boys see him as. However now what he sees is a mysterious girl in a Santa Claus outfit as well as Uzuki possibly experimenting adolescense syndrome. Could this be the case? Well, since it's this series, most probably. What I'd like to know is where's my new variation of the original ED song... |

| ok, somebody correct me here because i'm losing my mind trying to remember. i thought ALL of the Sweet Bullet members were 2-3 YEARS younger than Mai and Sakuta. almost every artificially created idol group has members of/around the same age. i KNOW Mai's half-sister Nodoka is younger, LOTS younger because 'their dad' divorced Mai's mom and so forth when Mai was getting solid work in Elementary School and Uzuki? the Sweet Bullet girl with the learning disability? ADD/HD... the one who went to the non-traditional high school due to this disability and kept popping in and out of this episode and had that 'kinda sorta argument' with Nodoka etc. she had NOT graduated from that HS during Sister Going Out movie... BUT if Uzuki is attending the same 100 level classes as Sakuta??? that means she got into his and Mai's college at the same time 'the power couple' did?!? also, how the HELL are Sakuta and Futaba TEACHING at a cram-school?!? they're college FRESHMEN right?!?! did the novels and anime do some form of timeskip i'm not understanding? anyways, i'm dam glad 'the rascal' is back! :D |

| @KiliianSleipnir Yeah Kaede is actually the same age Koga was at the start of the series at this point. But it's interesting because it shows that her fear of people has really started to deteriorate which is good!!! |

| I thought the ED would feature Fukashigi no Karte, as in the last film in order to give a nod to the original series. That always brings tears to my eyes. I don't like this OP or ED, but hey, I'm getting old. Good opening episode. |
