Recommend me something I haven't watched, preferably in the iyashikei, sci-fi, drama, adventure or comedy genres. I don't like horror or ecchi really. Any year is fine, but I like to watch some older anime.

Looking for some recommendations! Mostly copying what I posted from my Staff Reccs post.

Only restrictions I have are no hentai, nothing that is unfinished/airing and preferably 26 ep or less. Also nothing the AWC staff recommended me already! (Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku, Summertime Render, Kobato) If this also helps:


  • My usual favorite genres/types are mecha, sci-fi, gag comedy, adventure and mystery.
  • I've been trying to explore more romance & generally shoujo/josei - break out of my bubble some!
  • I'm completely open to any year/decade, but I generally enjoy 90s-00s stuff and have been trying to watch older stuff (1989 and earlier) too.
