Welp, it's the character appearance of Kuin Hachisuka. One of the most strangest characters in this franchise imo, with a "half-villain" title.

Also got to see more of Kazuho outside of her usual outfit and dressed more casually. She adds a lot of colorful moments into this season imo. Good to know this anime didn't forget about the pro heroes from the main show. As a prequel, All Might is doing good work around the city.

Finally got to see Knuckleduster’s face—didn’t think we ever would. And Kazuho’s a schooler, huh? She looks so different and still cute without her Popβ˜†Step getup.

Looks like Kouichi’s house has basically turned into a hangout spot now for the gang now. Unfortunately, Kouichi can’t see what’s in a girl’s heart—denying so easily that he isn’t Kazuho’s boyfriend.

I'd do anything to make knuckleduster sleep at my house, I'll prepare his favorite beer brand, pack a lot of food in refrigerator, using the best lubricant, etc.

Anyway, in normal situation I'd say this spin-off could be even better than the main series. The problem is the main series is already very good, especially later seasons are peaked in almost every episode, so I can't say that vigilante reach that kind of level yet.

By the way, if you notice, one soundtrack has "Kekka Alright" element, Yuki Hayashi never disappoint me.
Update: I just know that this time there are actually three composers instead of one, but the other two seem to be someone Yuki Hayashi know, his assistant and his friend.

Very interesting... Queen Bee is going to be a cool villain. I highly doubt she'd be able to do shit in the main series, but here where we see more underground situations we can have a solid cat mouse chase, getting hurt by losing bees seems like a major drawback though.

No because why do these three already have better chemistry together than all of 1-A... in just THREE episodes. It actually baffles me how good this episode was just because we got to see these three interact with each other so much.

Shit is also picking up fast, so yeah this is getting really good now.

Also, Kouichi x Pop >>>> Deku x Ochako

Quiet episode, still loved the hero fanservice and interesting teases, the comics esthetic is still beautiful to look at and it's fun following our vigilante trio, really cool cast.

All the heroes fill the streets including All Might, But only Knuckleduster realized that something was off.

Seeing Knuckleduster and Pop in their normal attire was pretty nice to see. Pop's normal hairstyle is a contrast compared to the style that she goes with when she dons her idol outfit, but I do think she's look totally fine. As for Knuckleduster, he's still the same goofball that makes me laugh, especially when he was waltzing around in Koichi's house in just his boxers while Pop was present. Man has no shame and he couldn't care less about it! XD

The appearance of the main heroes, even though it was for a few seconds, was cool, but I'm more intrigued by the high school girl, Queen Bee, who is a part-time villain. She has a fun personality at face value, but she did cause quite a havoc when she used her quirk powers. Thanks to Knuckleduster, even killing one bee does hurt her enough to bleed from her covered eye.

Hopefully Koichi and his friends can take her down, but I wouldn't be surprised if they need some help with this one.

So the Pop Step fan is also the one ( or one of them) that they are after. Nice little twist, though I wish they had saved it for a bit longer, but subtle was never the MHA Universe style so I guess not. Man, it almost feels like these three are siblings at home now, lol.

Ah, Homeless Batman has a face under the bandana after all. Also, the guy has a day job? He's probably not homeless then.

"Plain" Pop Step actually still looks super cute. Ig she just has insecurities or beauty standards in her school are insanely high.

Lmao. I like how they turned Koichi's house into their makeshift base of operations. It's pretty funny. Poor Koichi tho. Or maybe I should be happy about him cause at least he has company now. I like how they're already acting and fighting like family as if they knew each other for years already.

Woah. All the past heroes showed up! It's a little nostalgic in a way. I loved the comic book-style transitions. I really hope these kinds of animations won't be exclusive to this spin-off and will actually be used in the last season of MHA... It'd be a waste not to. Tho that probably won't happen.

The drug spread is getting crazy. I wonder what the deal is with the queen bee character.

Well it seems the team has made Koichi's house their HQ, and Koichi obviously had no say in it.

Teruo seems like a sweet kid, but now it seems that Ideo Trigger has slowly corrupted him, especially now that Kuin Hachisuka, who seems to be the originator of the drug, has made contact with him and might be trying to recruit him in some way. She seems to be threatened by Namimaru and Ichimoku Samazu, hence why she took Teruo away from them. Hopefully they’ll be able to find him again soon. It’s clear that Naminaru and Ichimoku actually care about the dude given Naminaru’s efforts in trying to find him.

I understand Pop Step and Koichi looking into talking to Teruo without Knuckleduster because he’s the type of person to punch first and ask questions later. So, he wouldn’t actually help with the investigation in that way.

What is Kuin’s endgame, and is she responsible for the Trigger from Seasons 4 and 5?

Knuckleduster was on point because he immediately noticed her bee. I wonder if Kuin getting a picture with Pop Step was apart of her plan?

It’s great to see the pro heroes on duty and in the next episode, we’ll see more from Tenya Iida’s older brother, Tensei Iida, who was the previous Ingenium!

@Gator Except that she has been very useful so far. Firstly, she was the key in tracking down the patterns of the villains (i.e. figuring out that businessman has been at every crime scene). Secondly, she was the primary reason that Teruo was willing to talk about how gave him the drug.

Just because somebody doesn't kick ass doesn't mean they're useless.

@Sheol01 Actually subtlety is a specialty of this series. The primary example is the twist of Aoyama working for All For One on top of being born quirkless.

Plenty of Pop Step goodness in this one, I wouldn’t be mad if half the episode was dedicated to her performance lol, makes me wonder if they have an EP of her songs planned if they haven’t done that already. But unfortunately for probably most idols, there are some deranged fans, that Teruo fella went from being someone you could sympathize with to very creepy real fast, although I’m guessing it was the effects of Trigger that caused him to behave in a sus way, because afterward he was let go, but dealing with him in his fishy form made for a fun action sequence.

I also really enjoyed the main trio’s interactions with each other, Pop Step and Knuckleduster just kinda made themselves at home at Kouichi’s place and they’re not getting along, but at the same time it’s very endearing, I’m loving these three already. And it was here we got to see everyone in their casual fits, Pop Step is insecure about her appearance but I think it’s very cute, just a different kind of cute from her idol look, I’m also really liking the slight romance she has with Kouichi so far, it’s nothing too crazy but it’s made for some cute moments.

And lastly we got introduced to a new villain, Hachisuka aka Queen Bee, I love her design but damn is that a dastardly stunt she’s pulling by drugging up random people with Trigger, thankfully we got to see some classic heroes again to put a stop to it but I’m thinking our vigilantes will be the ones dealing with this at the source.

Now we know where all this trigger drug is coming from. Its not as if all these random people are getting it from some massive dealer. Although back in episode one we did see someone like that. But the people who are seemingly not aggressive or anything close to villains are literally being drugged by this girl Bee. With her quirk controlling those little drug bees injecting people at random. That makes a lot more sense now honestly, because sure some of the people using trigger probably don't have good intentions but a lot of them are people who wouldn't a quirk enhancing drug. The scene at the end of the episode with over ten people being injected proves that they're not going looking for power or anything. Koichi did great dealing with things in this episode. That eel kid was overbearing and creepy but not an awful person. I felt sorry for him being manipulated by Bee at the end of the episode. But Koichi and Knuckleduster handled his little chase of Pop Step well. Koichi making himself more known to the neighborhood. Which it was odd but kinda wholesome seeing them all crashing at Koichi place, even if they should've asked first. Him and Pop did look cute walking together, but inadvertently running into that Bee girl while doing so. She's good at hiding her villainous side that's for sure. That girl is gonna be a problem.

Pop! Pop!

Continues to be plenty cute, except for the fact that her regular appearance lacks twintails. Clearly the only flaw with that school uniform look. Outside of that, she is perfect. Gladly buy her better shampoo. Dude now is a uni student with friend roommates, despite the mess they make they'll liven him up some.

The rest kinda resolves itself. Convenient to have a fan to question about the Trigger drug.

And now I know the true villain of this show is prob a JoJo character in spirit. Can't complain.

It kind of sucks how Knuckleduster and Popstep invited themselves into Kouichi's crib. I feel that there will have to be a discussion about boundaries at some point.
I was amused that the trigger event was quashed in less than a minute. Why were all the A-list heroes nearby, were they having some promo event?

@TheColonel76 I don't know why they even called him an eel, he was clearly a Lamprey. Though they look like eels, they are more ancient than even sharks, lacking jaws & advanced gills. Also, they are slimy bloodsucking parasites. What a God-awful transformation. LOL

How is the Squalor, I mean Crawler okay with the other 2 just moving into his house, eating his food, drinking his beer and fighting on top of it? They're getting close to being the roommates from hell.

Also Pop Step seems to have the best PR but sheesh, everyone has to deal with overly Stan fans. Is it just me or whenever we get the big Hero cameos (All Might, Erasure) as an audience member I suddenly perk up?

I enjoyed seeing the three in their regular street clothes and hanging out at Shoichi's place. He's got a chill place to live. Makes me wonder how he got a place like that? The dynamic between the three is fun though.

I'm actually surprised Pop is even interested in being a hero, she'd be much better off as an idol, her songs are great.

The part time villain's quirk is actually pretty impressive, to be able to control so many bees like that and they can all carry harmful chemicals could cause some serious bio-warfare. I can only imagine she has a way to summon them with any kind of liquid she wants, so I'm sure whoever is making Trigger is giving her the stuff to load her bees with.

Gotta give credit where it's due to Knuckleduster, the guy is pretty sharp. He noticed the bees before anyone else, same with the discolored tongues. He may be slightly psychotic, but he's really focused.

@KingBaller06 In 3 out of 3 episodes she had to be saved. So while calling her useless might be a bit much since she at least tracked that businessman (the conversation with Teruo didn't happen after all), she fits the "damsel in distress" trope perfectly.

@XArceusX There is no "Characters & Voice Actors" section in any episode. Anything outside of the episodes isn't official unless the studios responsible (Bones and Toho) come out and tell the audience her real name.
