| much more tamer episode compared to the last few i suppose, nice change of pace. Yeh, i guess rn there will be a lot of uncertainty for the members of Sol, since the theory between the Evangelists and the Holy Sol temple being linked, people (especially the most faithful followers) are starting to question their own religion. Get a guy like Lieutenant Huo Yan though, dudes life advice is top tier. Poor Iris, probably getting the worst end of the stick in the 8th when regarding the Sol temple business, Shinra giving his best to reassure her ,but can't shake the feeling that ending with the two triggered some red flags... Lmao Assault's segment this episode was actually amazing, i suppose it is nice to get this stupid humour and fanservice every once in a while, to calm things down a bit. But christ, who knew Tamaki could be such a dangerous foe. His fellow evangelists members must be sold that he must be fighting a fucking demi-God or some shit, with all the training he's been doing. |

| First half was enjoyable. I've never been a big fan of Iris's religious stuff but it was nice to her getting some screen time. Second was ridiculously dumb but it was still funny. |

| This laid back episode is the very thing that's missing from Fire Force, as cute and lovely Iris is, she has little to no screentime in which she came into the spotlight. Without a moment for the character to interact with Shinra the MC, outside of battle, it gives little chance for the audience to grow even more attached to said characters. That is why this ep is the perfect ep to be displayed after a rather chaotic fight from the previous arc. Their date culminates in both Shinra and iris finding a resolution to their respective faltering faith in their made-up religion. Seeing Shinra and Iris share some wholesome moments alone together on that bright sunny day gave warmth to my heart, I wish not for endless sunshine and no action, but I do hope we'll see a similar kind of episode in the future. On the other hand, the second half of the ep is Assault's battle against Tamaki lecherous body, the man is a savage assassin yet has little to no defence against Tamaki even after 'rigorous training'. In the end, he took a liking towards Tamaki, lol, funny how their interaction together made him like Tamaki. Nice reference to Soul Eater there in the night club. |

| A whole segment to Iris isn't something we usually see, so a pleasant surprise. Also yeah have to honest, that second half gave me some good rare laugh, as humor most often is a miss for me in this series. |

| Iris is adorable. She normally doesn't has much screentime, so this episode was welcomed. The second part was hilarious. Poor Assault, he tries his best, but the power of the female form is too great. |

| I'm glad we got an Iris and Shinra arc in the first half. Iris hasn't had much to do recently, so it was great to see how the sol temple revelation was weighing on her. Assault is hard countered by Tamaki's lucky lecher lure. Truly an example of there always being a bigger fish in the sea... |

| So I’m breaking my code for this rewatch on this episode because wow I never noticed Death Scythe from Soul Eater appearing in this episode on the first watch, and that’s because I wouldn’t watch Soul Eater until 2022, very cool thing to notice on the rewatch. And it goes without saying, Tamaki and Assault’s part was golden, that bit has been ingrained in my memories since I first watched it, it’s as good as I remember lol. Iris’ bit was also really good, this show treats faith very well, I’m not religious myself but even I can see why it’s so important in the world of Fire Force despite the reveal that the Evangelist made the Holy Sol Temple. |

| We got to see more of Shinra and Iris' relationship building up, which is always nice, alongside some thoughts that were perturbing the characters ever since the reveal that the Sol Church was founded by the Evangelist. The last moments of the episode were quite unexpected honestly, they remembered to bring that guy back, and he still wasn't able to defeat Tamaki. So he was the one that appeared in the other opening watching, well, adult stuff. At this point I'm not even surprised by the amount of unnecessary fanservice this anime gives. |

| This anime turned out to be more thoughtful than I expected, so far. The character interactions are gold - and Iris is adorable. ...and the real reason I came here to comment on this episode... LOL ...Assault is turning out to be... a comic relief character? I sorta don't want him to get over his uh, problem, and do anything to make me not like him now. Tamaki is a ridiculous character too, and this episode nearly killed me in the second half. I couldn't believe the departure from the first half - but I welcome it. It's a return to uh... classic anime style... the best part is that it wasn't just about fanservice, it was legitimate comedic relief..! This anime seems to nail quite a few tropes really well - but this episode in particular made me laugh so much I started tearing up. To put this after a sad, and then touching scene is ...is it brilliant? It seems that way to me right now. Taking me to two of the extremes of anime without it being jarring (though it certainly did surprise me. Did not expect THIS) means it has to be ..brilliant? What a rollercoaster this anime can be... but it was good. Here I thought Tamaki was going to be the primary comic relief character. What made this even funnier to me, is how seriously Assault's teammates were taking it. Did they not understand what he was uh, doing... with his training? I suppose not... but it's freaking hilarious. Fantastic episode though - interesting plot points, interesting character development (I've been waiting for more Iris, she's adorable) and honestly, Tamaki is just so ridiculous that I can't help but like her... and now the guy who seemingly fell in love with her, who is the 8th's enemy - when I started watching, it didn't seem like this anime would be as good as it is. |
