| Favorite episode so far, out of all the 6 released. Lihua, as Maomao said, is not who she was at the start, at all. Loved how after Shin told her to "rot childless in the garden" while throwing the medicines at her, and Gaoshun grabs her hands as to stop her from throwing anything at Lihua, Lihua slaps Shin as a punishment as to save her from the death penalty cuz she still holds her dear to her heart after all Shin put Lihua through, even in season 1 when she LITERALLY killed her baby unknowingly. Yet, she still forgives her. I actually loved that, really did. Cuz one can relate to her, since they were close since childhood and that. So i'm glad, Lihua made such a decision. Swear to god though, can never get enough of intimidating Maomao towards whoever she's 99% sure is the criminal. As someone said above, "Angry Maomao is Peak Maomao". That aside, really glad the sick lady-in-waiting got transported out of the rear palace to get proper treatment, although i'm confused as to why she wasn't transported to the medical office in the rear palace instead, since there are multiple competent doctors over there, and it's even closer to Lihua's residence. It just confused me a bit, but it is what it is, i guess. That aside, loved the cliffhanger at the end though with the Emperor thinking of something regarding our Maomao, excited to know what it is in the upcoming episodes. |

I wonder if miscarriage of Lady Lihua was also orchestrated. She almost died. And to what extent Shin knew about it.

| @Starpudding Bro, i only watch anime too. Do you think just because an anime is an adaptation it ain't canon? Of course it's canon, that's why it got so popular and was rewarded with a 2nd season, because it was faithful to the original source (both its manga & its light novel). Any animes which would not adapt the original material faithfully, wouldn't get rewarded with 2nd seasons. Like Twin Star Exorcists, Soul Eater, 2016 Berserk, Black Butler, and god-awful Promised Neverland. I could go on and on, but you get the gist of it. |

| @Starpudding I apologize, Ms. Pudding. I plan to read this show, but not any way soon. I do read other stuff, but i've never read neither this show's manga nor its light novel. I don't like reading ongoing novels, since they're expensive where i live in, so no matter how much you read, there are always new volumes to be released. So i prefer to read finished novels instead, and i do so because i get bored a lot in college, so i spend most of my time reading over there. I was reading an ongoing light novel a while back, but i put it on hold for the reason i stated above, you can even check yourself on my profile. I ordered another light novel that will be delivered to me by the 20th, so like 5 days from now. It's a light novel for an anime that adapted 3 volumes of the light novel faithfully, but never got rewarded with a 2nd season due to not selling so well back in its day. So i read its manga, which is 1 volume after its anime, to cover 4 volumes, then i decided to order the 5th volume which is coming in 5 days cuz the manga stopped after that volume as well since it saw no hope for the anime to get a 2nd season, so if it continued, would've kinda been a wasted effort. |
| That was a great ep. Mao mao toying with Shin whilst solving the case was hilarious. And the slap! I was waiting for it but I didn't expect it to come from Lady Lihua!!!! I'm glad the servant could finally get treatment tho. Ofc we end with a cliffhanger. Not sure what the Emperor's up to but I'm excited for the next ep. |

| A very satisfying conclusion, good thing that they caught & apprehend lady Shin, her wild thoughts & ambitions will bring ruin to lady Lihua if Maomao didn't caught on her on time. Hmm, what could be the emperor's thoughts at the last scene... |

| Another fantastic episode! Glad the poor maid survived. Maomao was relentless, but there was no other way. I'm a bit salty about the punishment. Instead of execution she's banished, thus humiliated, but she openly admitted wanting to kill the emperor's unborn child (and tried to do it AGAIN!). Lihua took pity. It's understandable why she'd do it after all, but I'm not satisfied. Oh well... What's with the Emperor absorbed by thoughts when Maomao was brought up in discussion at the end? SUS! |

| Very satisfied with how the coughing girl case has been resolved. Decent medical detective work, tense action, court drama, dramatic showdown. Interesting reaction from the Emperor... He's probably just thinking of a problem to ask Maomao about next episode. But I wonder what he thinks of all the Rear Palace drama and conspiracies. I'm sure he has a lot on his mind, but the safety of his concubines and children is not just a personal issue and has significant political implications. It's not hard to imagine that he wants a few in the Rear Palace dead, maybe even some of his concubines... |

| Well, guess not everyone can be as good schemers as Fengming and Suirei. I mean, just a little bit of pressure from Xiaomao and Shin's unfazed demeanour ended up collapsing like a house of cards alongside her plan. But well, at least Lihua is safe now. I always liked her more than the other concubines for some reason. Her being willing to beat Shin to a pulp to avoid her getting executed was particularly amusing, I must add. An OK episode overall. |
