| I think Mihawk might "test" Zoro again. I really like the liar story. This whole liar idea is very unique; I don't think I've ever seen it elsewhere, or at least not as big as this. |

| The spirit of adventures is in the air!! Awesome! MIHAAAWK! Such a sudden and pleasant surprise! I think his smile was not evil, but really satisfied. He respects Zoro and seeing him somehow developing makes him a little bit happy, imho. |

| Wow, how the hell can they do this. In just one or two minutes of backstory they manage to build an interesting character out of nowhere. This series is so damn good at storytelling. Another great episode in a so far great row. I'm glad that shitty episode I started my day with (the filler ending) was only an exception. |

| More scenes of the Going Merry getting smashed up and Usopp being unable to fix it really makes me feel a carpenter of some sort will join the crew. The fact that Nico Robbin has such a small role in the anime so far seems like partly a good thing because we can focus on our crew as much as ever without straying away the focus, but I'm still waiting for some moments to characterize her more. If I'm right, all this liar talk means that Usopp is going to play a major role in this arc! My love for Usopp means this news makes me happy. I didn't mention it last episode but I still adore the fact that Usopp's funny shut up face was mimicked again by Chopper. Those two are fantastic together! It's interesting to note that Sanji was born in North Blue! Perhaps due to his exposure of both the fish there and the fish in East Blue his dream for the All Blue was established. It certainly seems like it could be a major factor. This episode also made sure to somewhat unnaturally explain that Bellamy and his pirates are from North Blue too, so for that I think that may be an important detail. I wish I counted the amount of times Chopper's saved someone already, I feel like he's had a lot of use in both helping sick supporting characters and by talking to animals. I love how Luffy gets along with everyone, in this arc already we got him and the drunkard pirate having a great time and now we have him and the monkey brothers joking around together. He's such a personable person! It seems that Montblanc wanted to know what their goal was and once he heard their excitement he knew he wanted to help them out. I can only assume that's why he gave them the logs but didn't explain that he knew how to get there at first. I can't wait to see Skypiea! Lastly, we got more Mihawk! He seems to be ecstatic that Zoro is climbing up the ranks. I also only just now had the thought somehow, but is he riding with a grave? The fact he has a candle lit and a cross on his sailboat makes me think those are really important to him... |

| Cricket's not so noble as to go on a quest like that to clear the name of his distant descendant but I can fully understand why he's searching for the treasure so he can prove everyone who has insulted him for his lineage wrong. Those Monkey Brothers helping him out was sweet~ It's time to go to the sky island! |

| Luffy seems so much more serious the last two episodes. The bar thing really got him acting different . I really like the moneys and this new guys. Fun little allies, but But holy cow…..Mohawk. This saga might be starting to get big. Nami will get to map sky island. Usopp learning to be a brave warrior from Nolan. Sanji seemed interested in one of the fish and now Mohawk here for zoro. Maybe round 2. Could some clue about the one peace be in for Luffy? Maybe his brother and buggy show up too. Setting up Sky island to be really epic. |
| So Sanji was raised in the North Blue eh? And he had heard the story of Noland the Liar there. Man what is it with One Piece introducing characters have little screentime but able to make them the most interesting in terms of storytelling? I mean we have a literal ancestor to Noland right here with Cricket and it really seems to me that Ussop has much in common with that Noland guy. Love how Luffy just kept looking back at him when Cricket was describing the story to the Straw Hats. And Mihawk! Oh my god he's back! And travelling on the sea. Seriously it's been awhile since I've seen him there hasn't been an episode with him not since Sanji's first appearance at the Baratie with the Don Krieg stuff. It looks like he's got Luffy and Zorro's new wanted poster and I think I spied a grin on his face when he saw Zorro's in particular. He's saistfied that a worthy opponent like him is at least trying to improve before their rematch. Otherwise nice set up for things to come in the near future. I've got a hunch and if I'm right it's going to be a very funny episode involving a certain cook and a certain navigator going through the jungles of the island they are on. We'll see, we'll see. |
