Good to know the Big 3 are still relevant this season. Shigaraki was too much for Bakugo to take on so they jumped into this chance to help the fight.

I was never a big fan of Tamaki but he was quite a badass this epsiode imo. Chereography and the fight itself also reached intense level, kinda what you'd expect against someone as powerful as Shigaraki. Don't want to underestimate Bakugo though cause he's still a badass.

I've had my misgivings with the MHA anime from time to time but when they cook, they fucking COOK. And I'll always give credit when credit is due, this was a great fucking episode. One of the craziest moments of the manga, and they adapted it so well.

The moment in this season we've all been waiting for: Bakugo's apparent death. This came as such a shock when it first happened, the fandom was crashing out 💀 it didn't help that there was a break week right after this chapter. Deku is gonna be in for quite the shocking surprise when he gets to the battlefield. One thing I've always admired about MHA is when Hori makes emotional callbacks before a big character moment. Seeing Bakugo with All Might's vestige, holding out the card for an autograph, before "that" moment happens right after and we see the worn out card fall to the ground, makes the moment hit that much harder. Now the question remains, will he remain dead or will they find a way to bring him back? MHA has never been much of a risk-taker, even when certain characters should have been killed off, so people have valid reason to question if this development will hold permanently for the series' most popular character.

The OST in this episode was great, MHA's music has always been the most consistent aspect of the anime. The animation was fire as well, especially for Sun Eater's blast attack (too bad it didn't do anything lol). Just a great episode all around and after a moment like this you can't help but wonder wtf happens next.

Came back to see more reactions just to find out there's no episode next week. Insane, the manga had a break week after this chapter and now the anime is about to have a break week after this episode 💀

People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Lemillion yelling at Shigaraki for not having any friends was the best 😂
Shigarakai was like “bro you can’t go around saying stuff like that” (;-;)
No but seriously, I love that THAT was the thing that got to him. It showed where he was mentally and revealed that childlike state of his heart.
In the manga Lemillion realized and felt kinda bad, so not only was it just insightful, it was also pretty funny.

Seeing Kacchan crying and bartered and bruised really hurt, but the way he just kept at it with that dog-headed persistence, continuing to analyze, predict, correct the fight… this is why I love him.

Nejire was an absolutely adorable little kid, crazy that even amazing people like her got bullied 。゚(゚´ω`゚)゚。 it’s so beautiful that Tamaki was the one to become her friend. He really is such a sweet guy. I’m so proud of how hard he’s fought to reach the place he’s standing at right now.

“Take care of the others. I have to win… right, Izuku?” I LOVE HIM SO MUCHHHHHHHHH. “Hey, Izuku… Can I still catch up to you?” They animated the whole scene better than I could have hoped for, the timing was perfect, but it hurt more than I thought it would. The way everyone tried to reach him in time and failed, the way he went flying after the fact, the calm right before impact, his mother’s words- all of it packed such a painful punch. Best Jeanist’s painful realization.
Kacchan got turned into swiss cheese again
。゚(゚´Д`゚)゚。
I joke but that hurt so bad to watch. It’s cruel that they ended the episode there.

I could have used the joke after the episode.
It was really a good touch letting present mic explain bakugos quirk in a more calm and sad way.

Bakugo!!!!!!! Laying it all on the line one final time. Trying with everything he has to stop Shigaraki. Everyone is, they're all doing every they can to try at least stalling until Deku gets there. The famed Big 3 of UA getting to see them all in action together this episode was awesome! Mirio joining in right when they needed backup. Shigaraki is just too tough with this new body of his, those endless fingers acting as a guard all encompassing this coffin in the sky. Nejire and Tamaki each doing their best to try and break through that guard. Nejire waves are barely able to break the outer most layer that's coming at her. Tamaki trying every animal he can think of to stall Shigaraki but with a constantly adapting body its impossible to chip away at him. Shigaraki has to be taken out in a single big move. Hence why now Mirio is here to distract Shigaraki so Tamaki can charge up his ultimate move. The culmination of his vast hybrid eating is that massive hyper beam cannon!!! Shigaraki had a tough time keeping it back and Mirio delivers a massive punch to try and slow him down. However its not enough, Shigaraki is just too strong. Many fingers were blasted away but it won't do. Bakugo waking up was so hype! Tears running down his face as the sweat accumulated all over his body do to the cluster move last episode. The swift movements Bakugo pulled off were his finest yet. Zooming around Shigaraki as he tried to blast the villain away. Some magnificent sparkling explosions right in Shigaraki face. Yet its all still not enough, Shigaraki launching out a spike barrier stopping everyone close including Bakugo. Leaving his heart decimated laying on the floor as the rain begins to set in.

Ugh, that was so good. Bakugou's conversation with the remnant of All Might... ;.; Aizawa begging the others to save him because he needs to finish school and graduate and he wants to be the number one hero... Then yanking on his capture scarf as if there's anything he can do with it to help him.

It's gonna be rough watching the series without seeing my boy every week, but at least the movie is coming out in early August so I can see Kacchan grinning like a feral goblin and tearing shit up like he's meant to.

(I wonder how many people managed to avoid spoilers before this episode? I'm not sure if I envy them or not lol)

The rest of the episode was pretty good, but damn they really adapted that Bakugo sequence to perfection. Honestly, the last time Bones elevated the manga material to this degree was probably Endeavor vs High-End at the end of season 4. I've read the manga and they still made it seem shocking and impactful. As cringy as it sounds, it gave me the chills.

This new director really is an improvement over the last. Here hoping they elevate the rest of the final arc to this degree. 5/5

I can't believe Bakugo is Bakugone...

As someone who avoids places like these like the plague to specifically avoid spoilers (and also barely ever posts), I'm one of those people.

I'm absolutely fucking devastated. I mean, I saw deaths coming as soon permanent mutilation was on the menu, but I figured Bakugou would make at least make it until Deku'd arrive. His whole heart though? Freaking hell, that's just... cruel.

Does Tomura think Bakugo is in the relationship with Midoriya? Well, he's right! LOL

The production quality is still as stellar as ever. Studio Bones is the gold standard for making a long-running anime. The composer Yuki Hayashi is on top of his game, and to think that I used to think that he can't surprise me anymore. But of course the main highlight is Bakugo, this is his episode after all, and I just can't ignore him when he's trying his best ever in his life. And his tears... even if the narrator claim that it's still sweats. Which makes Hado the weakest element in this episode. Her past of getting bullied over her quirk enthusiasm is quite shallow and repetitive.

This episode was literally breathtaking, I knew what was coming because I've seen all the manga spoilers of this episode already but I still wasn't prepared for this. The way that they captured the big 3 was just amazing. The backstory that we saw and how they were so strong together. Also tamaki/suneater with his vast hybrid: plasma cannon I really didn’t expect that. And of course Bakugou.. my heart was on edge when I saw him fighting with Shikaragi and when his tears fell I literally sank. And he even got stronger at THAT exact moment before he “died” i was honestly speechless and the way Horikoshi made it even more heartbreaking with the scenes of bakugou’s flashbacks with Izuku and the sound of his heartbeat we heard on the background, also the voice actor of Bakugou.. wow I don’t even have the words it was just so captivating in that scene. Bakugou’s voice normally is so rough and at that moment it was so soft, angelic almost I can’t even explain it and the almight card how it fell right next to Bakugou. Also the weather announcement that it was going to rain and his parents on the screen with his mom Mitsuki saying: “that kid doesn’t like the rain.” no stop my heart couldn’t handle that. After all of that Jeanist ran to Bakugou and felt with his hand if his heartbeat was still beating and then the thunder and the way Jeanist was so shocked and looking at Bakugou and then it started to rain while Bakugou was laying there on the ground “dead”… I’ve already seen the manga spoiler of Bakugou’s death without color (ofc) and all the fanarts with color but the way Horikoshi did it hurt so much more. I think it is because of his eyes, they aren’t that bright red color anymore and he’s so pale, paler than normal. All by all this episode was one of the best I’ve seen from Horikoshi, the animation was chefs kiss*. Bakugou is such a well written character and his character development is not like any other and I love him with all of my heart. I’ll wait till he’s back.

So when is the plot armour for villains gonna disappear? Shigaraki might as well be immortal at this point while he is WITHOUT his quirks, like come on man... Bro could receive a nuke in his face and would come out barely scratched. Then we have his dumb growth or whatever which is also beyond broken.
It's kinda hard to take this seriously or care about characters and their deaths when you have villains with unreal plot armour.

Bakugo gets to be crisp at death atleast
He already gets 2nd plus ultra and I'm sure he'll get more as we go on which really takes a lot of screentime
I was all in for suneater big 3 moment
Hado is the prettiest
Great job Endeavor ost for Amajiki and Hado
I'll let them be Honorary Todoroki
Mirio got to wham bam for a moment very cool
I had only read this Amajiki buildup moment last year
So I'm uncertain on a few Episodes until later toga fight is in its mid stage
Did anybody catch mecha in the opening
These osts can really be tearful even if I have opinions disagreeing with the show
Next episode with the stupid afo speech will be interesting
A villain with a villainous monologue is appropriate yet also important to note why heroes need to keep doing their thang and squash these open thumb like villains

Wow, was not expecting the episode to end like that, I was thinking maybe one of The Big Three would bite the dust but no, it was actually Bakugo. Now seeing the episode preview showing that Dabi is somehow still alive, I don’t doubt that Bakugo can also somehow be brought back, that’s what I’m expecting anyway, but if they actually have the balls to keep him dead then I would respect it. That being said, this was another banger episode, it looked great, Bakugo’s wild moment near the end was very cool, and I really liked the bits focused on The Big Three, seeing them all come together to take on the greatest danger to the world was quite awesome.

And along with their moments we also got a bit of backstory, mainly for Nejire which made me kinda sad seeing her bright cheerful personality be shut down, but it ended up being for all three of them which was nice. And Tamaki’s combined attack was awesome as well, it’s just unfortunate not even this was enough to do much to Shigaraki, I guess Midoriya really is the only one, it’s honestly giving me DBZ Nappa vibes where no one but Goku could take that man on, only it’s more frustrating here because Shigaraki has been the villain for such a long time and you really wanna see this man hurt, Lemillion did hit a nerve with the no friends line which was funny but besides that, it’s like we’re still where the fight started but Bakugo is out and everyone else is beat up.

And we unfortunately have a break next week from what I’m seeing folks saying, what an episode to pull that on lol, but I’m definitely excited for the next one nonetheless.

This is the best episode that I've seen for the 7th season of My Hero Academia, but it was also a sad and brutal one at that.

Despite some excellent set-ups from the big 3, especially with Lemillion making his appearance in epic style, any attack that the heroes used on Tomura wasn't enough. Lemillion did succeed in making Tomura angry with his choice of words, which was unexpected and a bit funny, but other than that, it was another reminder as to who Tomura is almost unstoppable.

But Bakugo certainly gave it his all and the way that he went all out, even in the condition he was in, was very impressive. Same goes for the production values for this episode, where the action was very good overall. Sadly, it does look like Bakugo suffered a fatal hit, which was a painful way to end this episode. =(

The next episode's preview doesn't look good for the heroes by what was shown. Here's hoping that Deku arrives as soon as he can before things get any worse for the heroes and their morale.

damn midoriya must be coming from the damned moon 240,000 miles away because he sure is taking his time. I don't like how shoenen has this habit of showing backstory right before someone dies, it's like they (as a writer) are just flying by the seat of their pants (sorry jeanist) and I don't think it was needed for captain explosivo. One of the best written characters...I'm glad the material has actual consequences, even if it hurts. It would feel cheap if he got revived somehow but I really do think he has what it takes to be number one hero. In some way, I don't know what, he reminds me of Endeavor.

What exactly would you like them to achieve facing basically a god? Are you new to shounen genre? It always was about main character and it will always be. Others are there to enhance the story, push MC forward, support him but they will never be at his level. There are exceptions but they only prove the rule. I'd say MHA still does a better job than most other series trying to keep side characters as relevant as possible even when we are in "peak power" arc where things go completely out of whack and MC and his archnemesis reach levels unobtainable to anybody else.

"MHA sucks in general now" - we knew from chapter 1 that nobody (except for one person) can stand against All for One. I swear people are delusional or the series makes really good job at giving people a slivers of hope that other heroes can achieve anything against him. How many times Tomura has to explain they stand no chance against him because his power is comparable to All Might at his peak? He said it like 3 times this episode alone and some people still not get it, when it's all laid out in front of their eyes.
