| A cleaning robot caused this much problem heh. Amusing. However, this episode gave Mira and Takumi time to bond. While I don't think this anime will have much romance, it's kinda obvious they want to pair up the two in some way. Also, that Naosuke dog when enraged really is something... |

Apparently Shimo-takaido is a neighborhood in Setagaya/Suginami area. "Shoin Ginger", the fiancee, might have landed at the Shoin Shrine... |

| naosuke chasing the lil mouse reminded me of tom and jerry so much, even with how the running animation looked lmao i'm actually tempted to watch some classic tom and jerry episodes now. |

@Ryushindai Agreed, I actually didn't think that they would lean into the bog-standard shoujo tropes this quickly this hard, if at all.
The first episode just had a different, unusual tone and feeling. This episode did feel generic at moments. I hope that this whole overexaggerated shoujo stuff this episode was satire and the start of some elaborate joke that is finished next episode. Would be a fun twist and not having to live with giga shoujo galore from ep2 would be epic.
I also do think that if the high school misunderstandings and overexaggerated "women! ugh my knees weak can't talk, can't understand" are unironic and drag for more than another episode it won't be a good look- chaotic, endearing but still mysterious and intriguing first episode into every 1980 romance anime ever 😖

| @shutcardboard You managed to put everything I experienced with these 2 episodes into words I couldn't... I too really hope it can go back to the same feeling that the first episode had but I honestly doubt since it seems this will also have some Love Polygon with the introduction of Ginger, moving more and more towards the usual Romance series |

| Liked this episode more than the first, I think I'll keep watching. I really hope the love rivalry stuff doesn't get too annoying and in the way of the main relationship because I hate when that happens. |

| I liked the Maison Ikkoku reference in the beginning. So Mira's fiance Shoin Ginger appears and now we have a possible love triangle between Mira, Takumi, and Shoin. What's the deal with the spy robot sent by the hubbies? |

| What a fun episode, my man can't catch a break. First believing his crush is a widow (which she is), then puts up with ugly obaba, and just as things start to smooth out, her fiancé is Lelouch of all people. |

Bruh. That poster from the beginning of the episode is straight-up just a Maison Ikkoku artwork.  I don't think they're even trying to hide the fact that this show was heavily inspired by Maison Ikkoku. Good for them. I liked this episode. The plot is moving forward and we learn more about the aliens. That must be some really important key if someone outside of Planet Wid can take it and become its ruler. Sadly I don't like the MC Takumi. At least not yet. He's not a lovable idiot like Godai. And he doesn't seem to have anything going for him except that he's in love with Mira. I hope this will change soon. But Idk if I can expect too much development in just 12 episodes. Didn't think they'd introduce a love rival already. It feels almost too soon. And the fact that he's already Mira's fiance... Can't wait to see what happens next. |
| The misunderstanding intensifies with Mira coming off as a complete whore widow lmao and now even a fiance arrived. I sure hope there won't be love triangle drama and instead it'll focus more on Mira and Takumi's relationship. Liking the old vibe so far and that dog walking on two legs and talking with Suwabe Junichi's voice cracks me for some reason. |

theres Miki Shiniciro and Ogura Yui plus Gintoki and Kagura as Father and Son lmao and not to mention Sukuna as the "Dog"
its kind of refreshing to see anime with 80s-early 90s style
Ep 2 looks very promising, definitely will watch
I only hope it wont end like the other ONA Protocol Rain.. strong in the beginning then went downhill

| Mira's infiltration into Astro Lodge to find the "key", whlst living amongst the Earthlings to go back home to Planet Wid ASAP, it's been 3 months and there's no progress whatsoever with the next-in-line heir at stake. Of course, Takumi realizing that he'd heard what he was not supposed to hear, he misunderstood the entire thing completely. But then, asking Yamashita about the previous caretaker which had passed away for quite a while, he was a Wido just like them, but had died way too soon to unravel any clues whatsoever. The hopes of Takumi wanting to date Mira is quite the desperation, though the enemy robot infiltrating as a robot vacuum is quite apt for the surroundings, except that both Takumi and Mira got themselves locked in the Umeshu (plums) room. Indeed, the robot smacked the entire lodge into a blackout, though Naosuke realized that one of their enemies, Planet Hub's Hubby, has been seen around the lodge. As Mira gets drunk under the influence of the Umeshu, leading to her sleeping on Takumi's lap and witnessed by Naosuke in the wrong way possible, it's not karma, but he got fumbled for a moment. Oh welp, Takumi's misunderstanding just got worse with the appearance of Shoin Ginger, her fiancé from space. How will he take the hits? |
