| Definitely Katsudou Shashin, which is only 3 seconds long. A close second is Ai (ONA) which is 7 seconds. How is a 6 episode anime the shortest one you've seen? I notice a few movies on your list which are clearly shorter. You've seen Planetarian which is only 90 minutes, half the length of Golden Boy. |

| Excluding 30 second animation shorts and commercials, and including a complete start to finish narrative and plot? The only thing i can think of is the music video (if that counts) Shelter done by A-1 Pictures and Porter Robinson. | ive seen a few forgettable shorts that are less than 5 minutes long the shortest one that i actually liked was Tsumiki no Ie (12 minutes long) which is in my top 5 favorite anime |

| I remember buying "Blood: The Last Vampire" on DVD years and years ago, in fact I'd forgotten about it until I saw this thread because I remember coming away from that movie thinking that it was great but waaaay too short. I mean I had zero experience of anime back then as a medium and kinda expected everything to be at least an hour and a half long (I was young and daft) so I was mega disappointed. It might be worth giving it a go again with older eyes. Nowadays I could probably appreciate the brevity. |

| Glancing over my list, the shortest I could find was Zettai Junpaku♡Mahou Shoujo, which is 6 minutes long. I know of some of those others have mentioned that are only a few seconds but haven't sought out any of them. |

| I think the shortest series I have seen is There She Is!! Within just 20 minutes total it managed to convey more meaningful messages than most RomComs do in 12-24 episodes. |
