| Apothecary Diaries (unless it drops the ball). Currently maintaining a 9 score from me. A little bit behind would be: Kubo-san (Kubo herself broke into my top 10 characters list. Maomao from Apothecary might yet also). Ao no Orchestra (Best cast of characters). Both of those were easy 8 scores. The other 8-scored shows for me were (no particular order): Nagatoro S2 Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia First few episodes of Skip to Loafer was 8 territory but the show kinda petered off into a final 7 score for me. I'm thinking a S2 would have 8 potential. Atarashii Joushi wa Do Tennen has been a strong 7 for me so far but it's dang close to upgrading to an 8. We'll see. |

| Not including any second or later seasons of continuing or returning series which began in a different, earlier year, I have a preliminary Top 10 now that we're only about a week away from the end of the year and I've finished most of the series from this year I'm including in the consideration. But I say preliminary because a number of the series I'm going to include aren't finished yet and some are two cour series which only began in the autumn and won't finish until next year in the late winter season or the beginning of spring. So with that in mind, there is always the potential to revise the list in the future. As it stands now, my Top 10 would probably be: 1.) Tengoku Daimakyou 2.) AI no Idenshi 3.) Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon 4.) Hikari no Ou 5.) Handyman Saitou in Another World 6.) The Apothecary Diaries 7.) Bullbuster 8.) Frieren: Beyond Journey's End 9.) Zom 100 10.) Dark Gathering But to again reiterate, I reserve the right at any point in the future to revise the list, as four of the series I listed (The Apothecary Diaries, Frieren, Zom 100, and Dark Gathering) aren't finished yet. The first two, Frieren and Apothecary, are only about halfway through so there's even greater potential or likelihood for those to change positively or negatively. If I had to predict and make a projection, I would say that Frieren will probably remain about where it is as so far it's been consistent throughout and there are various aspects I appreciate about it, but I do consider it overrated compared to other series this year I've seen and compared to the way it is currently rated on MAL versus other things. Whereas I do see The Apothecary Diaries going up, maybe two or three slots, as it fills a niche of the exact type of series I like, but series like this are more heavily dependent on how they progressively develop and I can't in good conscience give it an overly positive evaluation halfway through when how the remaining episodes develop will likely have a considerable impact on how I emotionally receive and remember the series going forward. It can stay roughly where it is, which is like solid 7/10-tier, or become something fantastic and phenomenal, or become quite disappointing and cheap/rushed-feeling. As for ratings for these, tentative for the unfinished ones: Tengoku Daimakyou - 7/10 AI no Idenshi - 8/10 Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon - 7/10 Hikari no Ou - 7/10 Handyman Saitou in Another World - 7/10 The Apothecary Diaries - 7/10 Bullbuster - 7/10 Frieren - Close and undecided between 7/10 and 6/10 Zom 100 - Close and undecided between 7/10 and 6/10 Dark Gathering - 6/10 |
