Just listening to Nagi's singing in this episode is enough.
btw, I think that the trash duo, Dolce and Range, will be back soon.

Anyone want to tell me if this show is worth seeing / recommending? I mean the fact that it's 2 cours, and by studio 8bit are hesitancy factors for me, but its been a while since I've seen a good or even fun mecha, so; thoughts?

The first episode was kinda meh, but this one was pretty decent. Nothing super fresh and new in the mecha genre, but the fights are very entertaining and the visuals are great. If it keeps on improving with every episode like it did so far, it may be a nice choice of an action anime for this season if you just want some good looking fights.

Since we have six months ahead of us, I don't really mind the gradual buildup and introduction of the diverse characters. However, I do hope Kanata moves past his "I'm a useless MC" phase soon because that trope has been overused and doesn't captivate me as much anymore.

It's no surprise that Noir possesses some remarkable Hidden Talents tbh.

The connection between the Magus and the Coffin actually gave me a Five Star Stories vibe initially, although the mecha designs are vastly different, unless you happen to appreciate undersized feet.

Alright somehow I missed the premiere last week, probably cause it’s another Hulu release, but caught up to the first two episodes and this has some potential.

Reminds me a little of Ars No kyojuu, Listeners and Deca-Dence rolled into one. Interesting sci-fi world with mechs, cute girls and supernatural abilities.

Story isn’t really moving me so far, but given it’s a two cour show, it’s not surprising the pace is slow. The action scenes and CGI are pretty well done and white haired Kuuderes are always a plus so let’s see what 8bit got cooked up with this one.

Noir really clumpsy all by herself but she Gas also a huge heart.
Of course, the two had to start fight right away..
A little action there in the end.
But Ciel's little song *_*

Already was giving me some XBC2 vibes with the whole Drifters (Drivers) and their Magus (Blades), and our resident salvager finding his partner with a girl speaking of Rakuen.
Since they eat and everything rather curious about their biology as well, so will have to see if they're also similar to Blades in that they can reproduce

For some reason I'm getting more Sakugan then Deca Dence.
We will play along for now hoping that they will have more worldbuilding about the Magus (robots).
The contract for Magus seems like slavery.

You know what I been wondering?...

Why are they calling the Mecha (drifter) "Coffin"?... are they suggesting the ppls riding in the mecha are meant to die in it?

.

Also... Magus (robots?) can grow? (Dolce gone from a young farmer girl to a mature sexy girl) (or can they literally just replace body parts)

.

And they have video devices and monitors... but no one but Kanata (and another robot) knows what a camera is? huh... This reminds me of the new Gen ppls getting stupider and stupider that doesn't know some of the older stuff that's never used in daily life anymore.

some of the animation feels funky but the show is really interesting. there are so many questions, but i think this episode was more about character development so i hope further episodes will go in to world building. as a story it has a lot of promise.

i'm still confused on what  a Magus is because the one girl could age and there's very clearly different ones that are far less human like and more robotic
i'm assuming well over 100 years have past if people don't even know what a mouse or a digital camera is anymore ,the new Magus is most likely been around the time Noir was made since she instantly knew what it is  guess nobody is keeping track of history in this current time lol

overall fun episode i'm enjoying this no clue about the plot still so its gonna be a little bit of a wait to see its gears click but the duo has been setup
love the insert song

Some of the tropes or themes these types of anime typically have are starting to show, especially with Kanata himself, as well as his relationships or connections with Noir and Ellie. Given it's 24 episodes I'm willing to push through some of it, but like others have said, hopefully we get past Kanata's 24/7 self-pity at some point since it's been over done in everything similar to this.

With that out of the way, most of the episode was rather nice, and we got to see some another fight. Also, Noir is slowly learning about what she can do as a magus to not only help in combat, but also in the day-to-day.

Once again we end the episode with the mech in "passive mode" and having all controls handed to Noir, so we've yet to see Kanata use any of his skills outside of fixing things aside from the times he's gotten beat, and I don't know if him being able to drive a mech without a magus (albeit for a short amount of time) is something not a lot of people can do. As the show progresses I hope Kanata starts to learn more about being a Drifter and we get to see him improve on his own skills and driving.

Finally, Ellie best girl

After going on that chase to get Noir back from that fairly generic bad guy its a shame the camera didn't really have any clues, but at least they are now in official pact with each other I guess.

I was expecting it to be a typical mediocre show for promoting a rapidly dying computer game, but it does seem to have some ambition. It's like I'm watching a very budget version of Non-Gundam non-Macross mecha from one of the major studios.

episode 2 was actually better than episode 1 for me watching it with lowered expectations.

I really like the dodging scene. But it feels like Noir is able to make the Daisy Ogre a bit too fast, totally outclassing the enemy that you cannot really feel she or Kanata is skill.

Mech feels more fluid than the first episode surprisingly.

Still quirks like goons using AK cannot damage the rocket, bullets just bounce off, but the enemy boss with the same AK can kind of game logic, boss -> more damage. Stuff like that still grind my gears, but what is a man gotta do? He needs his weekly Mecha Fix I am willing to overlook them.

To be honest, this is/will be anime prequel/alternative story to game SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada. So honestly don't expect too much... maybe even expect open ending where story will be finished in the game.

Probably the same logic as in 86, where you fight in them until you die eventually. Additionally game logic, since while playing a game 90-100% of times you will die in those machas.

Manga recommendation:
- Spy x Family (Ch.108/? - biweekly) | Sakamoto Days (Ch.195/? - weekly)
- MARRIAGETOXIN (Ch.110/? - weekly) | Machi and Oboro (Ch.18/? - biweekly)
- Make the Exorcist Fall in Love (Ch.80/? - biweekly)
- Monochrome Days (Ch.10/? - biweekly)
Anime recommendation:
- Deca-Dence (Finished) | Wave, Listen to Me! (Finished)
- If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die (Finished)
- Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater (Finished)

This episode tells the story of a successful hand-holding moment between a male and female guest XD. As for the pink-haired character, it can be said that she is merely a plot device, with a predictable role that gives the impression she has no chance of a romantic turnaround. However, the supporting characters in this anime are all quite pleasant, whether they are human or AI, making them likable. Additionally, the newly introduced songstress gives off a feeling that she knows the game heroine. Judging from the hints at the beginning of the plot, it seems that Noir isn't a complete Magus, as Magus generally don't sleep. Overall, while the plot may be somewhat cliché, it indicates a solid script so far, with the introduction and team-building plot points already completed. Now I've already watched two episodes, and unless there are any major surprises, we might have to wait until around Episode 10 or so for further developments.

The Type Zero Noir being a remnant of the Amasian Magus, it's clear that she needs a lot of maintenance, aside from picking up her old Coffin, which might reveal any mysteries about her. Unfortunately, the more they dig, the more questions they have. Apart from Aventure's former 2nd-in-command of Range arriving back with his Magus Dolce, all takeaways from the junk pile is left to Mouton to clear up, while the lead for now is an old camera. Kanata, feeling distraught from Range's hurtful comments as a hacker, goes back to repairing his Coffin so it can be ready for the next mission.

Within a night, Noir goes on her own to request help to fix the camera, though she got caught in the gazes of Range, which Tokio lends his assistance to save her back from his Carrier. With Ciel's help, the mystery is about to be revealed, and Tokio came at the right time for the save. And just like that, with one clasp of the button on the neck, the master-servant is born.

ARCANA PROJECT's ED feels decent.

This episode is reminding me of Chobits in many ways. Have to give Ellie credit for telling Kanata to man up and rescue Noir when he was moping over how terrible a master he seen himself as, considering she could've easily seen it as convenient to have a romantic rival taken out of the picture instead.

I wonder why most Magus are female and only 2 male Magus at most.

The antagonist from this episode was stupid and I wonder why no one check if they steal other Magus when they go from the city.
