| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Hehe, Chopperman special was interesting. Wasn't as funny as I thought it'd be, but entertaining, nevertheless. What I don't understand, however, is why they are completely remaking the Drum Island arc and including Franky, Robin, Wapol's brother and Luffy's new attacks. I don't understand the idea behind it. I mean, to make more money out of it? Do fans in Japan really like the Drum Island Arc? I guess they have some kind of info to back up why they are doing so. |
| Ehm well its not that weird to do remakes like that, they made a few of dragon ball and they sometimes make musicals based on anime series. Episode was ok i guess, didnt see it subbed yet. |

| I enjoyed this alot more than the 'real' series for quite some time now... I actually enjoyed the Drum arc... but I believe that it will be the same junk as the Alabasta remake-movie.... |
| You know at first I didn't like the idea of a drum island movie. But after thinking about it. This does not seem to be like Alabasta. This is not cut and paste remake. This is a re-telling with different characters trown in. Maybe we have to look at it, like a "what if" movie? |

| From watching the previews in this episode, not looking forward to this next movie at all... I'll admit the drum island arc wasnt the most interesting (probably cause it flashed back to that damn doctor like 50,000 times) but butchering it up and changing the story doesnt make sense at all. And did you those frames with wapol's "brother"? animation doesnt even look like its from one piece. I dunno, I really havnt liked most all of the movies for one piece save for a couple, but these two re-telling movies are just lame to the max. |

| Wow i just had to comment on this episode. I didn't think one piece would get any more bizarre but man this episode tops all. After the crappy filler prio to this, i have to say this episode was kind of a welcome relief. It was actually pretty funny. Now finally ON TO THRILLER BARK SAGA! I hope this next arc is good, lately i been slowly loosing interesting in this show. Probably because ive seen to much at once. |

| I would rather see 1000x times 5 or 6 full episodes of Straw Hats Theather fillers than that filler mini-arc before this episode. I'm beginning to find it much more enjoyable to watch mini-stories of One Piece's world, characters and alternative realities than short or long arcs (fillers or not) based mostly on fighting. That's why G8 arc was so very good, and Accino Family arc so bad. |
| Choppy Man is as freaking adorable as always. I love his theme song so much... I had to listen to the full version when I heard it playing as he had his intro for the wrestling match. I do agree this was too long, I think Chopper Man would be better in 10 minute segments. I loved the Sanji cooking hour and staring, and Zoro's samurai movie where he beat up Johhny and Yosaku not to save anyone but instead get rice balls had me laughing too. So excited for Thriller Bark! |
| It's completely unrelated to the story like all those other holiday specials but I really enjoyed this~ I had really good laughs throughout and Sanjiropus staring at the screen for 30 hours was my favorite one lmao |

| okay that last arc was the definition of mediocrity, the poster case of why many people skip filler without even having given it a chance (this is not a good idea, draw your own conclusions, some filler is very good) but this? PURE GOLD CHOPPER VIOLENCE wish they would have instead done 11 episodes in this style |
| I have to admit I thought this was the start of thriller bark. But i actually enjoyed it. I like this mini episodes like this and the Christmas one more than the long filler arcs haha. It was cute. |
