| No, the two good ecchi of 2022 (Futoku no Guild and Vermeil in Gold) weren't made by Passione. They just need to pick the right source materials, as they did with the timeless classic Ishuzoku Reviewers. |

Passione might be the only known studio currently producing decent seasonal Ecchi but over all Passione studios in the broader sense hasn't even produced even a fraction of a fraction of Ecchi material out. Even a studio like J.C.Staff has been producing Ecchi material far longer than Passione yet they are far from catering specifically for just an ecchi audience. Over all ecchi is just a kind of a dying Genre. The less quality one grows up watching the more deminished it becomes over time and the less people are consuming them. It's not hard to imagine in 20 years from now Ecchi will be almost a thing of the past due to the decline in quality over even throw-away seasonals. It's like how you can look to Anime produced in the 80s and 90s and see today the huge shift away from the use of the threat of Sexual Violence, general non-graphic rape scenes, consistant graphic Gore, non-provocative nudity, and non-graphic general sex scenes produced in Anime. |

| Xebec was probably the best ecchi studio, back when it still existed and wasn't a subsidiary of Sunrise producing their B-show Mecha anime. They definitely check the boxes for both quality and historical impact. Not a perfect record by any stretch, but their highs are usually the highest the genre had to offer and their mid-grade stuff was a cut about the rest. AIC and JC Staff are OK. JC Staff got much worse over time, though, and AIC no longer exists. I don't think Passione are in league with any of those three, but they're probably the closest thing we have to a dedicated studio these days so I can't complain too much. |
