So Animus has been defeated but the Earth isn't safe yet. Seems they built this up for the final battle as a true test.

Idk, this episode had a mixed feeling of emotions but you know, they managed to get the cast together for their destined roles. Samidare also seems to enjoyed the memories she made with everyone.

Hoping the finale will be at least memorable

The ultimate tragedy would be if Samidare left everyone behind. I ugly cried through the entire last five minutes of this episodes. Yuuhi vowing to stop Samidare from destroying the world. All the beast knights bending together to help him reach her. The flashes of memories of the time they spent together. Yuuhi literally reaching out for Samidare wanting her to stop. It all culminated into an incredible emotional moment.

Now what I'm about to say might be a stretch but I feel like this whole destroy the world thing is a metaphor for suicide. Samidare being sick all her life, being alone, wanting it all to be destroyed, meeting new people building memories with them but it still not being enough to stop her, Yuuhi at first saying he would join her but then once it came time he wants to save her actually, everyone helping Yuuhi reach Samidare and telling her she's not alone. It reads to me like if all the superpowers and aliens and stuff like that was taken out the scenario would boil down to Samidare going to commit suicide. Once I connected those dots I couldn't stop crying seeing Yuuhi save her. I'm beyond glad Yuuhi could reach her and stop it all. Showing her she can become an adult and live a good life.

It was a good episode at all. The animation is terrible as always, but the storyline has been increased in the last couple episodes

The more I watch this, the more infuriated I get, because the story is genuinely one of the better ones this entire year, sadly held back so much by this dismal production. Would probably be a 8 or 9 out of 10 for me with good production...

The in-fighting has begun between Lucifer and her loyal assistant against the other Beast Knights, and Amamiya's attempts are surely for his reasons alone to stop Samidare at destroying Earth.

Really, both him and Samidare are fated for each other, to love and to fight throughout their time together, for a girl that had her world changed thanks to the young man swearing his loyalty to her from the get-go and wanting to grow up like a normal adult, but she couldn't because of her illness and burden of the planet.

Amamiya finally becoming a Mythic Beast Knight with Neu being the Black Dragon Knight to face off against Samidare, it felt like she had found her sense of belonging and happiness of the world imbued. Truly, Samidare's life felt like it was cut short without interaction, and she was tasked to do what she needs to do: destroy Earth, and Amamiya's resolution to reach her is aided by the rest.

With a resolution like this, Amamiya has managed to save Samidare, and I think now I understand the intention of the 2nd ED song being a replication of both of their desires.

@Dukino the 2nd half hits especially hard, given all of their interactions together. It's such moments like these that redeem the source material for what it is.

It is, it truly is. Sadly, the anime is the manga intact, plus the abysmal production values.

Yuhi really just disrobed a woman like that. Even Asahina knows how mean it was.

Love this because it hits home for me too. I can't believe that I was able to get invested with this show since I'm an animation snob, but they did a DECENT (using that appropriately) job and weeb senses filled in the blanks. Happy I stuck with this show but could never recommend it.

Don't go reading reviews, they nitpick about so many elements. Basically, critics are judging shows based on *their* tastes. And I find most critics to almost seem like they don't even like the genre or expect things to be a certain way. Thanks to some critic reviews that I won't name, it almost ruined my experience. Luckily, I have a short memory for bull, so I was able to shake that off. But people more often than not just need to keep the mouth closed and stop ruining things for others just because they are prickly or toxic.

For this episode in general, it looks like the fight was a bit short lived.

Wow
The anime was alright at first, sounded kinda unique but my god did that diminish quite fast...every episode was like a Pokemon anime...or Power Rangers

A new CGI mud blob appears, kill it, move on, some backstory about characters that was not really interesting imo
Yuuhi is the worst lol...never did i cared less about a character in an anime, got all his power from someone else, useless throughout the whole story, the only hot girl falls for him for no reason...oh sorry, make that 3....just lol...are you serious....suddenly uber strong in the last couple episodes, extremely annoying and cringy simp
That shot where he tied up Hakudou's skirt to show her panties while he is standing there in that dumb pose had me rolling my eyes.... i was rolling my eyes on a panty shot scene...how the hell did this anime achieve that is beyond me
They tried to make him look cool, they tried
and they failed miserably

Yeah, the animation is terrible but people say the story and characters are good, i am sorry but i don't see it
The whole setup is weak, only like one or two characters have some kind of personality and the pacing is pretty bad throughout
Animus was a just a bored, and boring, psychopath and Anima was just...braindead most of the time
If there is some hidden meaning there, well...they failed at the execution of it

But hey, at least the opening is good i guess

I honestly think Samidare's reason for destroying earth is absurd (weird coping mechanism for her deadly illness) which admittedly kinda fits the other events of this series.

Oh my, here at the end we finally get some fanservice. I wasn't expecting that.

Hm, Yuuhi suddenly is backpedaling, wanting to save Samidare out of love. That is a bit of a disappointing reveal.

Overall, Yuuhi vs Samidare wasn't that bad of a fight. I wish the animation was on par, but that can basically be said about every episode at this point. My main complaint, and I realize it wouldn't exactly be the most romantic choice. But, after Yuuhi "soared to her height" I wish there had been more impact. Like, a statement punch to punctuate the emotion. And, again, I can see how, an anime protagonist decking their love interest might not be super well-received. But, I would've appreciated it.

I thought Animus died?! Why are there a couple of salt-waterfalls in my house!?!

The Black Dragon Knight did it! He made her love something more than the Earth. The desire to destroy the Earth from her is dumb no matter what, but so many antagonists have dumb reasons, a big on that often pops in my head is Naruto and then Boruto.
I will decide next episode whether to upgrade to a 6/10, fine, since I think Animus breaking into the real world twice for me is enough to justify.

Anima is so happy that her vessel met her knights. 5/5
