| Yea the progress or at least the pacing seems a whole lot faster than in the original. It might just appear so though as I don't remember exactly how much episodes it took to get to this point, but it did feel a whole lot longer there! |

| Leorio and Kurapika's dedication towards opening the Gate of Trial without Gon's help for his own sake was inspiring but the moment he finally chimed in was what finally opened the doors to the Zoldyck Estate. Gon's "fighting" style of getting so beaten up that you'd feel bad about it is definitely a very effective tactic. Even though he got so damaged, his will stayed strong because of the purity of his intentions and made the likes of that apprentice and even me tear up. It's too bad that Mama Zoldyck killed her like that so suddenly since she was shown to be a really kind person. |

| the whole 'opening the gate' part i was like... what's next? but then whe i though there's going to be some interesting development gon continues with his stubbornness, it's not bad, but not new, until the end caught me unguarded. i hope it's not just me who think this arc resembles the soul society arc from bleach. |

| The way Gon refused to back down against Canary was admirable. I couldn’t help but make the connection to how Indians protested to British rule before they got their independence. It’s a very powerful protest that transcends using brute force. Canary doesn’t seem bad though. She felt bad for Gon =( At least Gon made it through, but it seems there’s another Zoldyck awaiting him. |

| The moment that Kurapika and Leorio + Gon opened the door was the best!!! Gotta love the chemistry between those 3 in order to save their friend Killua. It would have been cooler if Leorio alone or with Kurapika opened the door but wasn't that bad. Gotta love the little family they created! |

| That was a great episode. They managed to open the gate but were stopped by the apprentice and then he got shotted, I'm guessing. I hope he's alright as well. |

| It's kind of funny to hear how different the mother treats Milluki and Killua. I think maybe if Killua could then he would kill his mother... but he would also die at the hands of his father or grandfather right at that moment. Just my wild assumption though. RIP to the butler lady, she seemed like a nice person and really cared for Killua. |
