There a lot of them to choose just one but my top 5 most hated are:- 1) Tanjiro from Demon Slayer:- This guy is the most boring protagonist, I have ever watched. He basically has no character trait other than being a nice guy. He is just boring to watch. It's sad that the other characters in Demon Slayer are so brain dead that even he seems like a nice character in comparison to them.  2) Subaru from Re zero:- This guy isn't badly written, it's just that he is a bit too cringe to watch at time. One of the reason I dropped Re zero was that I just couldn't stand him.  3) Koichi from Another:- This guy barely qualifies as a character. He has no personality whatsoever and is sleep inducing to watch. The only use this character has is as a sleeping pill and nothing else.  4) The guy from Akame Ga Kill whose name I don't even remember. I mean I don't even remember what that idiots name was. I don't think I need to expand any further how boring he is.  5) Tomoko from Watamote:- This is the most cringe character I have ever seen in anime. Throughout the course of the anime she does nothing to improve and becomes worse and worse throughout the course of the show. Absolutely unwatchable character. I can't believe that people actually relate to her. |

| Certainly, if I go to look in my memoirs, there will be several Harem Ecchi protagonists that I find terrible and ultra shallow. Toujou Basara, Keita Suminoe and Michio Kaga himself, from the anime Isekai Meikyuu of Harem wo that aired this last season. Certainly, if I go looking in my memories, there will be some protagonists that were revolting for me to see. In more serious works, Kaizuka Inaho from Aldnoah.Zero. In works that were meant to be comedic, Kazuya Kinoshita, the classic hated by the crowds. But, in a way, as much as I dislike all those mentioned, there is no protagonist that I reach the level of feeling repulsed and disgusted. No unanimity, no being that I dislike as much as Keyaru, from Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi. |

| Mirai Kuriyama (Beyond the Boundary) - Intensely dislikeable, from trying to murder the secondary lead within five minutes of the first episode, to constantly begging him to give her money, despite that previous interaction Hayase Nagatoro (Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro) - A bully. Need I say more? Popoko and Pipimi (Pop Team Epic) - They're not characters. They're concepts whose voices, backstories, personalities and art-styles can be whatever the writer wants them to be for whatever painfully unfunny "joke" they're in |

| i was curious to see what kind of protagonist ppl hate the most and got suprised by most talking about this Kazuya, and i'm like who the the f*** is that, turns out it's from Rent a Girlfriend anime lmao, i decided to skip that show when i saw the name i guess i managed to save a couple of hours of my time to watch better animes lol |

| Did you not finish Jobless Reincarnation or something? Rudeus kinda starts off like the typical idiotic isekai protagonist who approaches his new life like some kind of video game but he develops a LOT over the course of the series and gradually comes to understand his new life is just as real as his old one, especially in wake of his growing relationship with Eris and his fight with his dad. I agree on Deku though. For me I think one of the worst protagonists I've seen is Banagher Links from Unicorn Gundam, he's a fucking idiot. |
