| Well... if you are still kid, probably. Though I'm pretty sure that you are genetically capped from birth. It is just that milk provides the nutrients and helps you reach that cap. Or something like that. |

| never liked the taste of milk and i didn't eat a lot of dairy growing up. despite that i'm 6'1. nutrition probably plays a role in it, but genetics are probably a big factor too. i have a lot of tall male relatives, i'm taller than both of my parents, and i ate a lot of plant based foods(rice, beans, salads) growing up. |

| I doubt that actually helps. Sure not getting enough nutrients will stunt your growth, but getting more than you need will probably just pass through your body. Milk is just a way of getting babies the nutrients they need before they can eat solid food, it is not necessary for the growth of humans past infancy. |

| I am 5"9 manlet at 26. Been drinking milk a ton as a kid/teen/adult (because I like it) so that is a myth. Lol Height doesn`t matter for chics, but for a dude it determines your smv. Their is surgery to increase height, but I never tried it, and it requires a lot of money. Chances are it is tough for you finding a good job, or getting promoted if you are a sub five like me. I guess that is why many asians who tend to be shorter focus everything on getting a desirable high paying job by putting in ridiculous amounts of effort in academics and work. |

| Drinking milk helps with growth thanks to the excellent proteins it contains. However, due to the high amounts of sugar and fat, drinking large amounts of milk does not seem like a bright idea. AnimeIsWrong said: Height is about 80% genetic. Nutrition only plays a small role. I have heard that drinking milk is a big thing in Asian countries. Chigaimasu yo. If genetics is the first factor, nutrition plays a fundamental role, and can explain why the average height in Japan increased by more than 10cm in the last century. If you are tall, chances are that you have dated women who prefer tall men. Shocking revelation (it is called confirmation bias). Why do you change of topic? Who has said that marriage was a great thing? This is not what "blackpill" is really about: it is about blaming women for all your shortcomings, and pretending that you will be alone forever if you do not earn a six figure salary or are not at least 1.90m tall and a part-time model. I do not believe that women and men are identical in the way they think (especially when it comes to dating), but that does not mean that I consider women to be superficial to the point of refusing to date a 1.75m tall man (average height in many countries, and above average in half of them)... |

| I mean, don't know for others. I stopped drinking milk but I know calcium helps with bone structure. Vegans should be more at risk of bones breaking if they don't balance their nutritive needs correctly. So in a way your entire height depends on bone structure, perhaps there's a cultural bias that accompanies this. |

| It works basically that, if you have a proper nutrition and environment during your childhood and no other hindering illnesses or conditions, you most likely will reach your growth potential that is determined by your parents and grandparents. On the other hand, if your folks are short, no amount of milk will make you taller. It's mostly genetics. It's encouraged for kids to drink milk and eat dairy since it strengthens bones and teeth that are still developing. Kid whose parents are 5 foot won't just grow to be 6 foot, but they have a chance to be as tall as them, a bit taller or a bit shorter. But it does basically nothing for a grown person in terms of height. |

Dairy products like zero fat plain yogurt can be even considered a superfood, essentially. (And it solves the issue with lactose intolerance as well.) It’s pretty well established high dairy milk consumption increases prostate cancer risk. (Though also possibly lowers colorectal cancer risk) While the research finding are inconclusive clinicians may recommend to the patients who are at higher risk of prostate cancer development to eliminate or reduce the consumption of milk or milk products, especially those with high fat content. Such a decision should be made jointly with the patient and risks, benefits, and limitations of such a dietary approach should be discussed with the patient. If it is decided to eliminate or limit the consumption of milk products patient should be counseled about the appropriate calcium and vitamin D supplementation. Prostate cancer is a complex disease with multifactorial origins that include, genetics, diet, and environmental influences. The risk reduction of the prostate cancer development may be achieved when all these causative domains are fully understood and addressed. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8255404/ High intakes of dairy products, milk, low-fat milk, cheese, and total, dietary, and dairy calcium, but not supplemental or nondairy calcium, may increase total prostate cancer risk. The diverging results for types of dairy products and sources of calcium suggest that other components of dairy rather than fat and calcium may increase prostate cancer risk. Any additional studies should report detailed results for subtypes of prostate cancer. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25527754/ High intake of dairy products and calcium may be associated with an increased risk of prostate cancer, although the increase appears to be small. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16333032/ In conclusion, we found a positive association between milk consumption and prostate cancer. The underlying mechanisms, including fat, calcium, hormones, and other factors, should be investigated further. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15203374/ These data suggest that frequent milk intake in adolescence increases risk of advanced prostate cancer. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22190107/ |

| @Meusnier I appreciate the two studies you linked, but I'm loath to engage this level of pedantry. Both studies investigate or make references to the genetic determinants of height, as well as other environmental factors. I did not say nutrition plays zero role, but OP lives in a first world country and likely came quite close to reaching his genetic potential for height. You yourself list "genetics" as one of the things making up height. Take it up with the NIH. Also, I'm not sure why it's so controversial to admit that most women have a preference for taller men, considering it's empirically validated and neatly aligns with our everyday observations. Beyond that, height has unexpected consequences for other aspects of your life too. It's no coincidence that for more than a century, every US president has been at least 5'9/175cm, with many being around 6ft/183cm or taller. Or that only ~15% of men in the US are 6ft or taller, yet 58% of Fortune 500 CEOSs are. OR, that shorter men are at a higher risk of suicidal ideation and behavior. Your perception of the black pill is skewed. The most significant takeaway from it is that your physical appearance does matter, oftentimes in ways you cannot alter, not that women are to blame for all your shortcomings or that you have to be tall and rich to find a girlfriend. A lot of men do unfortunately believe that all women are shallow harpies, but don't have to be an incel to be a misogynist. |

I am a short guy, and I've worked with a lot of women, and I can't say it's affected my experience THAT much in the workplace. Then again, I'm also very inhibited (i.e., terrified of being called a creep), and I know better than to hit on women without some kind of cue being present first. A lot of the women I've dated asked me out or gave me subtle hints that indicated they were interested in me. I do think people negatively judged me because of my height when I was an assistant manager, but it could have just as easily been my younger age and inexperience that was the culprit. I'm well aware that a tall height is obviously an asset for a guy though, and I share your frustration that merely pointing this out is somehow verboten. |

I'm well aware that a tall height is obviously an asset for a guy though, and I share your frustration that merely pointing this out is somehow verboten. people hate it when you point out the lies. they don't want anybody stepping outside of the lies. i'd never hit on a girl at work. i think that's madness. i've also seen a guy get me2'd at work, so i stay away. i stay away in general. not approaching one after seeing that shit. worked too fucking hard to get to where i am and i'm not about to have that ruined. but anyways it's great that it hasn't impacted you much at all. hope that doesn't change. |

People who straight post on CD and have built their whole person over some stupid internet theory (like the "blackpill") are almost never real accounts indeed. kur0hagane said: Meusnier said: the conclusion is not only that women don't want short guys. that is not what i said at all.How living with women allowed you to conclude that they would not date "short" men? If you are tall, chances are that you have dated women who prefer tall men. Shocking revelation (it is called confirmation bias). Why do you change of topic? Who has said that marriage was a great thing? ??? the way you brought up marriage seemed like you meant it as a counter point. you said that a lot of short men get married and have kids, so i said that marriage isn't a good indicator of a healthy relationship. like it's not all. This is not what "blackpill" is really about: it is about blaming women for all your shortcomings, and pretending that you will be alone foreverif you do not earn a six figure salary or are not at least 1.90m tall and a part-time model. if you're jumping through hoops for some chick and taking her out on a bunch of dates then she's not attracted to you(probably). the guy she is attracted to is sleeping with her raw while you're doing all that crap. they probably had sex before or right after your date with her. that guy didn't have to jump through hoops. Oh come on, you replied to Rohan's post and deemed it full of "black pill truths." Looks do matter genius, but what Rohan said about being a 1.75m "manlet" whose "value" on the "sexual market"—I need too many quotation marks for this mind-numbing topic—is zero is still nonsensical... "Height doesn`t matter for chics, but for a dude it determines your smv." If you agree with that, you are just wrong. Don't start backpedaling now... Height is just one factor, and not a fundamental one, unless you are a boring person whose whole personality can be summed up by his looks. Hint: François Hollande gets more girls than you, and this is not due to his wealth or power. It is a counterpoint to Rohan's claim that height determines your so-called SMV (I had to google this). Then you replied: "Marriage is not a good indication." Even if half end up in divorces, it is still a pretty good measure and shows that reality is more complicated than what you guys think. I will ignore this pitiful personal attack from someone who only refers to women as "females" and pretends that his takes are not dehumanising. If a girl cheated on you, blame yourself for having such a poor judgment in your partners' choice. AnimeIsWrong said: @Meusnier I appreciate the two studies you linked, but I'm loath to engage this level of pedantry. Thou speakest of pedantry, but thy post is full of irrelevant links (large deviations—like CEOs—are not average, thank you for the tip, and politicians need to be good-looking, nothing new here, but Napoléon was just average—not small for the time). You called the influence negligible (a "small role"), but it just isn't. The "blackpill" is not about acknowledging that physical appearance has some importance in some aspects of life, but considering it as the only factor that determines your fate is simply stupid... My perception is on point, but you just do not know very well what this ideology exactly entails. Even if half end up in divorces, it is still a pretty good measure and shows that reality is more complicated than what you guys think nooo it's not. i don't even mean for short guys specifically. generally speaking it not a good indicator of healthy relationship when they have a like a 50% fail rate AND a chunk of them are sexless.looks are step 0 and they care about height, but that doesn't mean a person with both can't kill any attraction a girl has for him. i never said anything to the contrary. I will ignore this pitiful personal attack from someone who only refers to women as "females" and pretends that his takes are not dehumanising. what personal attack? being honest with you, i wouldn't have thought that anybody would find referring to women as females dehumanizing. not what i was trying to do lol.Hint: François Hollande gets more girls than you, and this is not due to his wealth or power. | people do actually drink milk in the belief that they will become taller. i don't believe in that very well. i don't feel short because of my lanky frame but i am well below the average height in america, yet i've never stopped drinking dairy milk till this day. my brother is sky high tall without nearly as much dairy consumption (most of my family are lactose-intolerant to non-severe degrees) and i'm comical in comparison. genetics are most of your build, there must be a predisposed cap to height in everyone's DNA. i don't even know if that height cap is limited to your first parents, genes are a fickle thing and inherited traits that skipped a generation (visibly) can come back. maybe drinking milk and getting the nutrients that you weren't already receiving can help you reach that cap, as there are cases of extreme malnutrition where individuals are permanently stunted from childhood = not achieving their max. i'm not sure about all schools in japan, but while i was there, milk was indeed included in the daily meals starting from elementary where glass bottles and containers were used in the rural areas. taste is better. however, it seems that carton packaging is more popular overall. |

| @Meusnier Hello. You can keep the milk, LOL. I'd rather respond to other things you wrote. "large deviations—like CEOs—are not average" - That was exactly the point. Neither is being 6ft or taller. "politicians need to be good-looking, nothing new here" - You pay this issue short thrift, and in doing so, you reveal your paucity of exposure to views that would dispute this. Neil Postman argues in Amusing Ourselves to Death that there IS in fact something "new here," as images have not always been the primary mode of communication in our culture. As a matter of fact, politicians did not always need to be good-looking. The significance of their appearance is a relatively modern phenomenon due to the advent of television. Postman gives the example that the first fifteen US presidents could have walked down the street and gone unrecognized, but they would've been immediately recognized by their written words. "The "blackpill" is not about acknowledging that physical appearance has some importance in some aspects of life, but considering it as the only factor that determines your fate is simply stupid... My perception is on point, but you just do not know very well what this ideology exactly entails." - Like any ideology, some people take it too seriously. But I don't think it's the sign of sharp perception to boil an ideology down to its worst components and dismiss it out of hand. If there's a continuum for how we view men who are unsuccessful in romance, with one side on the left being the most extreme version of the black pill, and the right being the most extreme version of the blue pill, popular perception is biased VERY far to the right of that continuum. My only goal in this discourse is to move the marker a little closer to the center. I don't want to defend kur0 or rohan. I can only speak for myself. "See, you confess yourself that your main issue is inhibition, not height. You could be a dwarf and still be feared by everyone for your sharp tongue." - I didn't confess any such thing. This is a flimsy bit of psychoanalysis on your part. I mentioned that I was inhibited in the context of kur0 talking about men making women uncomfortable in the workplace. My implication was that those men could have USED some of my inhibitions; it would have likely spared them the reputation of being creepy. I'm inclined to believe most women when they say a guy did something to make them uncomfortable at work, despite kur0's own experiences contradicting mine. Your dwarf example so willfully misses the point. You can succeed in spite of being short, yes, of course. But it doesn't change the fact that it's a huge handicap, especially when it comes to dating women but in all aspects of life, really. The links I provided in support of my view were far from pedantry. They all back up this point rather nicely. |
