Welp, Maou and his friends and co-workers are lucky this time to have a decent place to stay.

Emi's request didn't surprise me much honestly as she's eager to help out. Also, I think Chiho clearly wanted to spend some along time with Maou this episode. The cliffhanger though. I doubt they'll kill it but going to have to wait next episode to see what happens.

Is this season sponsored by tourism agency?
Anyway, that bear is something else.
How can they skip onsen scene!

The Devil's apartment is fixed, but now he has to accompany Chiho's Sasaki family to Komagane, Nagano for some farming duties. This is clearly a timeskip in both the LN (Vol 4 to middle of Vol 5) and manga (Vol 9 to Vol 12).

But man, the Sasaki family, aside from a huge countryside house, it's also backed by many family members, and Chiho's crush on Maou is clearly felt to instill the teasing, while the devils go out to work on the big farms. Unfortunately, both Emilia and Suzuno joined thanks to Alas Ramus being unable to sit in one place, and got ridiculed by Chiho's parents Kazuma and Hinako for not taking care of the child. And since Emilia is more than capable enough, more hands are better, though being at the Demons' chagrin.

This was one of the first defining moments between Maou and Chiho as they stargaze and talk about the past with Emilia and Maou...and one hungry bear lurking in the shadows as the adults get to farming with Emilia's know-how and teaching Maou on eggplants, not forgetting the past that still is a memory burnt in the mind.

Helping to babysit Hitoshi is some help too, but that bear is around...and the last thing is to alarm it, which with Hitoshi's cry, brings danger to them. Danger lurks close!

You know, when I spent all that time wanting a season 2 of this, I didn't think it would turn into a family sitcom. This stuff isn't what I wanted at all.

Are the whole rest of the LNs like this? Or does the author eventually get over this stupid baby and go back to writing an interesting story?

Although I can't remember S1 in too much detail, I'm 99% sure it was much better than this. How long is MgRonalds going to be closed, and how long are we going to have to watch Maou going from temp job to temp job with Emi finding contrived reasons to tag along? Speaking of, was Emi always this obnoxious? I don't remember her being this bad in S1, but she's incredibly unlikeable this season.

So now they're working as farmers at Chiho's family, it's a fun work replacement (not for them though with how exhausting it is lol) but it makes sense that there's a small drama regarding how Emi is reacting to this since they're the ones that ruined her farmer life when they were demons :S Now there's another issue and it's that bear but the baby crying isn't going to help them I wonder what will happen now that they got spotted by the hungry bear, transformation time?

Considering most of season one the main characters stayed in the city. Its nice to have this season contrast that with having so many episodes outside the city. After a few episodes at the beach we're now heading to Chiho family farm since the McDonald's isn't finished renovating yet. It would've been nice having an arc with just Maou and Chiho getting the romantic moments. Maou the demon King now a farmer helping out. It does make for some nice comedy like Lucifer getting car sick and of course Emi showing up. Trying to knock Maou into shape after all the fields his army destroyed back in their world. Waking up before the sun to do manual labor is absolutely brutal speaking from experience. I don't blame Lucifer for clinging to his futon. Emi being there does allow Alus Ramus to be there too which is awesome. She's always adorable and acting like a big sister to Chiho cousin kid. Theres definitely something going on with this bear being so good, black bears aren't normally that aggressive.

Well this was actually a decent episode. Everyone getting some time away from the city and going to the country side is a nice change of pace. Maou actually makes for a great farmer lol.

Looking forward to seeing how they get out of the bear situation next week without using their abilities

Lmao they really ended the episode like that.

This episode truly felt like it was from an anime which had word "part-timer" in it's title. Pure work relayed stuff no demon stuff.

Emilia and Maou always seem to bump into each other wherever they go.

And of course it's the god damn baby crying at the exact moment when asked to keep quite. Why are they like this? Well anyway, Maou will probably just save everyone or Emi given how she always has her sword with her. At the least they can at least we can expect Urushihara to blow the bear away with his wings which he still for some reason has.

I wonder though where this story is going. They are just changing jobs and travelling for a few episodes now. The McDonald's will open and they will just work there. What's the goal here? If it's ruling over Japan then they are pretty damn far away from that.

The only thing surprising about this sequel is the fact it’s maintaining a 7+ rating.

Pretty sure I saw this was airing and that’s what got me to watch the first, so the difference is night and day.

Long Live S1.

With MgRonalds still closed, our boys find a new job at Chiho’s family’s place, and the work this time around is definitely extremely tiring (know this from experience lol) and pair that with getting up really early in the morning, it was funny how Emi Yusa was the one to get them up too, giving how she has experience in this type of work due to her upbringing.

I also really enjoyed the one on ones with Chiho and Emi Yusa as well, interesting they both happened in the same episode too. And now a bear is about to attack, I wonder if Emi or Maou will have to bust out their abilities.

I get that it's gonna take time for Emi to genuinely get along with Maou, but that's not gonna stop me from disliking her when she gets like this. And it's been like that all season long. At first I didn't like what I had heard about the LN ending, but now it's not looking too bad

It's not just you. Having just watched S1 recently it was much better. And no, Emi wasn't that obnoxious in S1. She could be... grating at times, but I'm with you, she's downright obnoxious and unlikeable in S2

Looks like our favourite devil has landed himself another part time job. Thanks to Chiho, she was able to get Maou's group to travel and her and her mother into the countryside to help out at her aunt's massive farm. To no one's surprise, Emi, Suzuno and Alas Ramus has joined in as they're staying in the local hot springs inn nearby.

I'm not surprised that Emi is helping here since due to her past and how her family and the farmland she grew up on was destroyed, but I still enjoyed her talk with Maou as they were harvesting the vegetables. Same with Chiho and her personal time with Maou, as she was more casual with him, in terms of appearance and personality, than she was before.

Unfortunately, they've now attracted the attention of a roaming bear. It'll be interesting to see if the group will have to bust out their abilities to sort the bear out in the next episode or something else will cause the bear to escape. Either way, this episode was a nice change of setting so it remained pretty enjoyable.

To be honest, this season is boring. Like i don't like the idea of adding a kid to a comedy anime. Along with making Emi follow them everywhere, i just want to see the three suffer from work it's funny as hell. But adding Emi makes it meh.
