| lmao at Denji letting those six people die and saving that cat instead. Really liked that cat twist, works well with the title of the episode and to contrast with Asa's earlier story in the chapter about saving a cat. Also the twist was helped by Asa's story, since I would've saw it coming if there was nothing about saving a cat itself in the chapter itself (though I never expected Denji to do anything else but just slaughter the devil rather than saving either). It is interesting to see where the story resumes from him. My guy instinct tells me Denji likely isn't going to be resuming his role as main character just yet. I figure we'll keep our perspective of Asa and this will just be a quick glimpse of what Denji is doing, that he'll continuing being sort of a figure of intrigue to track down going forward, this was just his first appearance. I really like that direction, I think it makes part two at lot more interesting and distinct if we don't just return to Denji as the main character, but instead make him the goal of the series. But I guess we'll see, Fujimoto is pretty good at shifting directions, and quickly, so it make transition into more of a deuteragonist situation. Whatever the case, I can't imagine Asa not remaining a focal point of the series. |
