I've had the worst tooth ache for over a month. The tooth was supposed to be pulled because it is at an angle and digging into the neighbouring tooth but thanks to Covid the appointment got cancelled. I wonder if the braces I had in my teens caused that tooth to grow at an angle though. Fiancee says toothache is the closest pain to child birth. For me the worst pain I ever felt was after I broke my leg and I was walking home with the cast on for the first time and my leg began to spasm because the muscles hadn't been used for so long.

I would say passing kidney stones, but that would be a lie.

Probably that one time, as a kid, I front rolled over the handlebars of my bike because a bug touched my ear. I was wearing a helmet and I didn't break anything, but the scrapes on my legs and arms were pretty painful. Walking the four blocks back from from where it happened felt like ages.

Probably the stomach pain I got with my chronic health issues. I had diverticulitis and I couldn't even stand up to walk. I had to get a wheelchair to get into the ER. Unfortunately I get it a lot though.

Did your fiance not get an epidural?

I can't say I've ever been in so much pain that it sticks out in my memory (other than the pain of failing to bring my twins to term), but when I was in college I sprained my ankle and went to work anyway. After 6 hours my leg just gave out and when I checked my ankle had swollen up to twice the normal size. Whoopsie doopsie.

Apparently gingers experience pain differently than other people. I never felt any pain from my contractions even before the epidural.

Toothache, although Ibuprofen quickly solved it for me. Also, a severe case of tonsillitis (with fever) during which I could not physically talk anymore due to pain.

Period pains in my teenage years. I'd wake up at night frequently, it went all the way into my legs so I couldn't walk, and when I tried to go to the bathroom I fainted more than once. It ruined several vacations for me, too. It was embarrassing when it happened in public.

Around the age of 19 or 20 it slowly went away and my periods became more normal.

Hm hard to say. I think when I got my wisdom tooth removed it was one awful experience. I puked everything I drank or ate, I could only taste blood and later everything tasted like rotten. My painkillers didn't particularly help either so I just laid in bed in pain.

There was also an accident at worksite years ago where I hurt my back. I was in so much pain I couldn't stand for a while so I was rolling on ground cursing a lot.

Your pain reminds me of my father everytime. You and him are the last people who deserve to suffer like this.

She did get an epidural. But I think she meant in general that the worst toothache is still not as bad as childbirth.

Sometimes the ibuprofen and antibiotics seem to make the pain much worse before I got some respite.

I just got the tooth pulled. Fiancée suggested I go to A&E since the dentist has been giving me the run around. They expected me to wait until next month to maybe do something about the tooth other than prescribe antibiotics which they’ve done three times now in one month.

When I was nine I had my appendix rupture and they didn't operate on me for almost a whole week.

I had stomach pain and my parents thought it was me not wanting to go back to school after winter break so they took me to the urgent care where they said it was just probably like a stomach virus so to take a few days off from school.

Two days go by and it got worse where I went back and they said the same thing.

Another day goes by and that is when the doctor was like wtf yea your appendix blew up we need to operate on you immediately cause you can die. So then I got rushed to the hospital and was in there for about 2-3 months recovering.

Also heartbreak be super painful emotionally/physically/mentally.

Definitely kidney stones.
I seem to get them every 2 years or so.
Generally results in me lying on the floor for hours and hours, puking because of the pain and urinating blood.
I should probably see a doctor about it some time.

Excluding the 2 bones breaking which I've mentioned somewhere the worst pains I've felt were:
Helicobacter infection of my stomach twice in my life. Sometimes it was such a pain that I couldn't stand from bed.
Before cementing of my teeths, the nerve system was exposed so any breathe, anything a wind, cold or warm food, drink were causing such a pain to my teeths that I was very close to pass out cause of pain.

To doctors, yes, some of them are the best in my country. They suggested the same as what the famous tailbone doctor, Dr. Foye in New Jersey, would suggest (based on his article in internet). The doctors suggested me to take ganglion impar radiofrequency injection. But I am still in doubt to take it.

Does it have side effects or something? Also, did you try discussing your thoughts with your gf? Would be better to take some advice from close ones

I have Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) which is also known as tic douloureux, and is sometimes described as the most excruciating pain known to humanity. It's been called 'Suicide's Disease' because at one point when there were little treatment options 25% of people who had it couldn't handle the pain so sought to escape it. It's a chronic facial pain disorder that is caused by misfiring of the Trigeminal Nerve which is the 5th cranial nerve in your brain that branches out on your face. It consists of three nerve branches and it's uncommon for it to affect more than one branch (though it does happen, I'm proof of that). The branches are: Ophthalmic Nerve (V1): The first branch controls sensation in a person's eye, upper eyelid and forehead.
Maxillary Nerve (V2): The second branch controls sensation in the lower eyelid, cheek, nostril, upper lip and upper gum.
Mandibular Nerve (V3): The third branch controls sensations in the jaw, lower lip, lower gum and some of the muscles used for chewing.

There is also two types of TN that are separated as 'typical' (TN1) and 'atypical' (TN2) pain. 'Typical' pain is excruciating bursts of pain that are so incredibly painful they will make you sob like a baby and bring you to your knees. That type typically can last for anywhere from a few seconds at a time to a few minutes. But as stated, it comes in bursts so you can have dozens upon dozens of these bursts a day during a flare up. 'Atypical' pain is constant. It feels different for every person and if you have it on both sides of your face (which is rare) it can feel different on both sides (for me the left was sharp pain in my jaw, sometimes upper, sometimes lower, sometimes both, and my gum and teeth hurt like I had a tooth abscess in every tooth on the side that hurt. My teeth hurt from the inside out. And that was CONSTANT. The right side is a little different it's like a strong electrical surge that I often compare to something like a TENS unit embedded in your jaw where electrical surges will go along either my upper or lower jaw, sometimes both, and the pain changes. Like sometimes it's a low setting and I just feel a little painful buzz and then sometimes it's a high setting and it hurts from my ear to my front teeth and it feels like sharp needles are along with the electrical burst and pressure in my jaw).

I have both 'Typical' and 'Atypical' Trigeminal Neuralgia. On both sides of my face. On the left side the V2 and V3 branches are the affected ones, but I had brain surgery in 2017 because the pain was so bad that I would have been one of the statistics that tried to escape the pain had the surgery not worked. On the right side all three branches are effected to varying degrees (V1 branch is rarely effected. I've sometimes felt like I had an icepick stab me in the eye, but it doesn't happen often).

I've had a flare up on the right side of my face since the first week of April. I was put on a med that worked for a bit, but then I ended up at max dosage and suddenly the pain worsened and I was sobbing all night with how much it hurt (at night the pain worsens. Like at least 3x worse then during the day). I had to go to the ER because I was having suicidal thoughts because the pain was so bad, but from experience with the left side of my face I knew that I had to do all the research myself on what med I should try because TN is rare and most doctors don't know how to treat it because it's usually treated by a neurologist (which my PCP scheduled my appointment with one but they're so booked out that I can't see them until mid-August!). So yeah, I looked up different meds that work best for Atypical TN because the Atypical TN causes the Typical to flare and then I feel like I've been dropped into hell because the pain is so horrifically bad. I got on the new med that I suggested to the ER doc and it's helping a lot with the flare (the 'Typical' pain is very, very, very sporadic now and is 'muted' due to the meds. The 'Atypical' pain is also wayyy better, but still there. i.e I'm still having a flare). My biggest concern though is I've been having sporadic flares on the left side as well, though they don't last for long it still scares the crap out of me. I'm scheduled to try acupuncture on August 1st so hopefully that'll help.

So yeah, that's my worse pain experience. It's still going on and there isn't a cure for TN and since it's a progressive disease I just do what I can to try and stop the flare ups and send it hopefully into a long remission.

Some people in school back in the day didn't like me, and turned me into their human pinata. I never hurt anyone or did anyone wrong as a kid, but I suppose that is what made me a suitable target for wannabe bad boys in my year. Anyway. Norway is a very steep/hilly place, and my home was located on a slope, in which I drove down every day on my bike after school.

I've put up with phlegm-filled spits on my bicycle seat and other petty bullshit, but when they sabotaged my bike's wheel it made the whole village squirm. I was riding down the hill, the front wheel fell off, and I fell and scratched half my face off, my jaw piercing straight through my lower lip, getting a concussion and some fractures. My hands were broken and I got found by a peer's mother when I was in schock down the road somewhere.

I was absent for months during my recovery, and I felt pain physically and emotionally alike. I still think about it sometimes today. It was not a pleasant experience.

I managed to cut my elbow open in school and it got infected shortly after. Was just this horrific gaping wound dripping pus for like a week or so and having it touch anything was pretty unbearable.

I also used the pavement to grate my face up at around 30mph after bombing it downhill on some shit scooter, hitting a dodgy gutter and launching myself - thankfully I was unconscious for most of that but it hurt like fuck after I came to. Had this massive scab across half my face for ages though, was great fun to pick at.

Cyclic vomiting syndrome is my knee-jerk answer to this kind of thing because it's a waking hell until the "mini coma" hits but besides that, one time I smashed my shoulder into the socket in a judo mishap and I couldn't use it or dress myself for like 2 weeks.

So yeah, that's my worse pain experience. It's still going on and there isn't a cure for TN and since it's a progressive disease I just do what I can to try and stop the flare ups and send it hopefully into a long remission.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this thread. These tales of pain just keep getting worse, fuck me!

Did they not give you pain killers? That sucks. So far my pain hasn't been too bad but I definitely attribute it to stay ahead on the meds and keeping wrapped ice packs on it. I hope yours feel better soon.

Only local anesthetic for the extraction. Since then I've been continuing on with the course of antibiotics (Metronidazole 400 mg), Ibuprofen (200 mg) and I've added in Paracetamol 500 mg) aswell. How did you get high what did they give you? Or did you whip up one of your questionable concoctions?

They gave me antibiotics(Amoxicilin 500 mg) ibuprofren(800mg) and oxycodone. I take prescriptions like normal. And I use guaze for the bleeding, and ice packs like normal. I hope you get to better soon too.

They gave me a guaze pack too. Fortunately, I haven't had to use it. You wish me well but I distrust you. You can see why that is.

I don't know why you distrust me but whatever. I'm pretty up front and honest on here. I really do hope you get better. Health is the most important thing in my opinion and I would never wish pain on anyone. I'm glad that you managed to get your tooth removed. Tooth pain can be agonizing.

You can drop the act okay, you're not fooling anyone. Stop trying to make out that being a witch puts you into some oppressed minority group. I pray that God will heal our pain and that you will be cleansed.

I'm don't know what act you mean. I'm not saying I'm oppressed. I'm just generally wishing you good health.

Let me finish editing my post next time before you quote me.

I have God so you can keep your wishes. We pray for miracles over here. We don't wish for magic. Good day to you and goodbye. I will pray for you to become the irl cleric / paladin that you play as in WOW.
