Do you accept friend requests?
| Presently, I have my friend requests turned off. Before, I would only accept if I knew them; otherwise, I would try to have a conversation with them first. |

| I've never accepted a random friend friend on here before & I don't plan on doing so. Most of those came from those users that send friend requests to everyone on here to have a huge friend count. |

I think it's fun to see different anime/manga lists, and I see it as an opportunity to find anime and manga that I've either never heard of before or haven't checked out yet. |

| I accept any even though my previous Kiba profile pic didn't look that friendly lmao I don't think much of random FRs as I even add a lot of random people for FB games too. But it seems like MALers are more stingy with sending them out compared to MDLers, I have 71 right now compared to MDL with 467. But then again that felt more like a smaller community as I recognized more people from the comment sections while most of the people on my friends list are from the FG. Too bad I can't cancel my FR if I am left hanging compared to on MDL so I don't send them out myself anymore, as I prefer others to actually want to be in my friends list and it's embarrassing if they reject my FR. |

| i stopped accepting friend request when i got 100 friends, only accepting if i find the person interesting or have common interest, and i dont like friend collectors, their a pain in the ass and annoying asf, unless if you show your mbti, then i might accept |

| Ahh back then when I have around 200 friends because I actively send and accept friend requests, when I decided to clean some of them who never talk to me I only got around 30 users left. Now I rather to keep my friend list small with only some people that actively talk with me. |

| It's complicated. I used to accept every single one but it makes me feel shallow to have so much quantity vs quality. Later on I've been involved in maldrama here and there in the forums and clubs, unfriended by people who I've shared mutual info based on very little spats that one would think is something people would eventually brush off. And in addition to that not everyone who I've had a decent convo on my fucking public comments sends me frs anyway (they might have a similar situation than I do) but it still comes off sometimes as an attempt to pass time or just to have a better grasp of who I am and so, I don't send people requests. I also occasionally wipe a certain number of my fl as a result of it There's also the thing with friend collectors, so yeah |

| I accept all friends requests, I love all my MAL members. I usually just check their profile when the friend request arrives, and then go on and accept. However sadly I've made it a yearly ritual to go through my friends list at the end of the year and see how much people is inactive, some don't log in for 2 or more years, those I just delete. So yeah if you're active, feel free to add me. |

Yes, if i know them. (your vote) I have 71 pending friend requests that I don’t know what I want to do with. I can’t be bothered to ask them why they sent a fr without a message or comment on my profile or even a reply to any of my threads as far as I know. |
| I'll accept if it seems like we have a lot in common. I'll check to see what anime or manga they have read, and I'll look at what they have written in their profile, etc. If it seems like we may get along well, then I surely do not mind accepting. |

| I did receive some random friend request when I wouldn't even be active for like 1 year maybe. I remember refusing some but I'm pretty sure I've accepted most of them. I just feel like it's kinda random getting a friend request if I've never spoken to that person. Well, I don't think I would remember also. I don't even think I've talked to any of them. |

| We don't accept everyone. Sometimes I don't accept people who I don't think would be a good fit for my tastes or my mood at the time. |
