| So just wondering, I have seen this anime sky rocket to popularity and just wanted to get everyone's opinion. A lot of people are telling me Its one of the greatest anime they've seen and are giving it 10/10 scores all around. Can someone tell me what you think of the anime so far (without spoilers) and if its good or not with your reasoning . To be clear I have no opinion yet as I have not seen it, I'm just reading a lot of manga and watching three shows already so trying to see if its really worth the time to put off the other series I'm into right now |

| i started reading spy x family last year and after finishing the first chapter, i knew it was going to be one of my all-time favorite series. it has a really unique premise - how often do we see media that takes place in (not) cold war-era germany? it has found family, secret identities, and blends action scenes with cute slice-of-life stuff. sure, the premise isn't the most realistic, but it's anime, it doesn't have to be realistic! also, the anime hasn't gotten there yet, but as someone who read the first five volumes of the manga (please don't spoil me if you've read further!) i can say that each character that gets added later adds to the inevitable shitstorm that's going to occur with the climax speaking of which... even at this early point, it's very obvious what the endgame is going to be. i will admit that it's very predictable in that regard, unless the author pulls a serious plot twist later down the line. but imo, it's more about the journey than the destination. i think it's a bit of a shame that people are shitting on this without watching just because it's popular. how much do you wanna bet that these are the same idiots who complain about isekai oversaturation? here we have a show that is genuinely a breath of fresh air, but no, let's just bitch. some of y'all are just addicted to negativity |

| I'd suggest ignoring both the hype and/or hate before watching this and just watch it if the sudden rise to popularity made you so curious. Better not to expect too much as you go into it so you can have a natural genuine experience. IMO, If we're talking about it's quality as a show, the concept/premise is interesting enough to make it a unique one and be worth watching, add to that the quality animation or just the entire production quality in general. |

| It depends on what you like, I guess? I don't like comparing apples and oranges, so at least for me, ratings are like, "I consider this peak [whatever the genre of it is]", kinda? I compare battle shounen to other battle shounen, and romances to other romances, so to me, the first episodes of Spy x Family were just the absolutely perfect blend of comedy, adorableness, stylish action and so on, all with genuinely loveable characters, stellar animation and a good premise (and interesting setting, it's fun to find all the easter eggs for East vs West Germany), making it a 10/10 for a comedy/cuteness show in my book. But humor is very much a matter of personal taste, as well as whether you like comedy- and cuteness-focused shows at all, so no one but you can know whether this is gonna be enjoyable to you or not :) I'm a bit confused/amazed by the ridiculous level of hype people have for it as well, maybe because I don't consider comedy a genre particularly linked to hype in general, so it feels a bit weird when people freak out over Anya being THE CUTEST THING TO EVER EXIST AAAAAAHHHH or something like that, but yeah, it's just...a really enjoyable show. | I think it is a nice watch to pass time, it looks good, the characters aren't reallydislikable, the comedy as with anything it is a hit or miss. So, I definitely don't think it is one of the best anime out there (I don't know how it get that hight in the firt place, hype I guess) but by no means it is bad, wouldn't really put much thought on it tho. |

| As a manga reader the anime is just a really fun show with very good production values and direction. I'm having more fun watching the anime then when I was reading the manga. However even me who's a fan can't deny that this is by far one of the most overrated animes I've ever seen. Like seriously, who watches ONE episode of Spy x Family and think it's the greatest anime of all time? The score is just way too high for an anime that just begun airing, I feel like the manga has a much more appropriate score. |

| In my opinion, the show is good but I can't say it's amazing. There are funny moments here and there but the humor isn't just for me. To sum it up, I think it's a good show however it's not for me. |

| I haven't read the manga. But based on what I've seen, it's a pretty interesting and fun show that has a good premise, but I don't think it's the best or one of the best anime I've ever seen. Right now, I'd give it an 8.5. Its current high rating is due to hype, and I think it's because it's finally been adapted into an anime. (e.g., Komi-san Season 1 was rated at 8.79 in its first week). |

| It's cute and funny. It's not something that's gonna make you laugh out loud kind of comedy. But just a very light watch that makes you constantly giggling or smirking. |

| It's a cute and funny anime. I like it and I recommend it if you're into seasonals. I know some people who watch an anime when it's over, but if you mind watching seasonals, I highly recommend it. |

| It’s all about the memes Jack... Now to be serious it’s really great anime adaptation of great manga,it’s quite unique and interesting one with just the right mix of comedy,slice of life,bit of wholesomeness and you even get a bit of action.Also I am bit biased in my opinion cause ED is just so great if I score this anime it will probably get +2 just for that awesome ED song |

| It's pretty great and unique, also a breath of fresh air. It's nice to see an anime for once that is not isekai or from any of the popular trends that gets well received in the community. This goes without saying but it is slightly overrated imo, for me the anime is a solid 8/10, but people are free to love it as much as they do. |
