Fucking insane episode. Holy shit Mikasa is a savage. The scene where you get a little bit of everyone: Hange, Mikasa, Conny, Jean. So fucking good. Then Mikasa going on a god damn mortal kombat rampage...my god.

The end was really good. Nice to see Annie open up and just be like "im done. I dont want to kill anyone anymore."

Going to be an interesting finale.

Sure I can, You literally had some dozen survey corps members waltz into a literal yeagerist stronghold and the casualties were about 1600 yeagerists to exactly 0 survey corps. With the absolute sheer quantity of yeagerists alone they would have been able to pick off multiple of the survey corps memebers, and Floch himself is not incompetent. He's a very competent leader, so the idea that about a dozen main characters just waltz into a yeagerist stronghold and kill hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of yeagerists without suffering a single casualty is retarded. . . Its just absolutely unfathomable to accept that the yeagerist stronghold with thousands of highly trained troops, equipment, etc and a completely competent commander were just absolutely fucking massacred, and couldnt manage to pick off even one traitor? LOL sure.

Ah yes, look at the thousands of jaegerists here.

I counted 44. But, obviously, there are many more in the buildings. I'll be sympathetic to your point and round that up to a nice even 200. So yeah. 200 jaegerists, who are a mixture of half-trained kids, normal soldiers, and well-trained soldiers fighting against 4 titans, 3 of which are highly trained, the leader of the survey corps, 3 of the most skilled scouts, and a literal superhuman demigod. That's not to mention that the scouts were successful in doing the most fighting against pure titans, titan shifters, and even other people trained in fighting with anti-personnel gear, [b]ALL[b/] with clunky, heavy titan gear and oftentimes multiple thunder spears. In my eyes, the jaegerists are the side characters that were shown and killed off quickly in Trost or Liberio. Yeah, some of them were well trained, but they were matched up against the best fighters on the planet minus Eren, Zeke, and Levi.

Great episode. Definitely one of the better mappa episodes of their adaptation.
Well animated odm scenes and choreography that matched some of the best Wit episodes. I have some minor problems which are always present in mappa's episodes which might as well call them nit picks this time.

Loved the floch moments. Definitely the mvp of this episode. Really showed him like the competent leader he should be. Mappa's love for floch was certainly a blessing this season.

My biggest praise to the episode however is depicting the alliance(and especially mikasa) as the murderer hypocrites they are. With "other side of the see" playing in the last episode surley give them the villain vibes they deserved and not the savior of humanity moralfags they were in the manga. Switching yeagerists from ugly demons to scared teenagers fighting for their life was also a great move by mappa at humanizing them.

Yet still i see people praising mikasa and calling her queen and badass for killing(butchering) 15 year old recruits in horrific ways who want to protect themselves and families..?

I feel like a lot of people are gonna say this episode was awesome simply because they've been conditioned to watch the garbage we've been getting so far from MAPPA. Sure, this episode had some good animation moments - but overall it was cheap.

Just because there were a few seconds with a cool Falco transformation, or a few OK Mikasa scenes, dosen't mean I'm going to ignore the horrendous thunder spear animations, random zoom ins, and the scenes where Annie and Reiner were using their arms to cover the scientists.

Also, they're definitely not gonna fit the ending into one episode. I'm assuming the last episode, seeing as it's being delayed by a week, will be 40 - 60 minutes long? Or they'll potentially announce an ending movie?

What an amazing episode, action-packed an intense!

Floch died, and whether you liked him or not he lived true to his own beliefs til the end.

That scene with Shadis and Magath was so well done! :'(

No episode next week but there is some sort of Attack on Titan panel where I expect they will announce what happens after episode 12 which airs on April 3rd in the west.

Really great episode this week. I thought the CGI was a bit rough around the edges at the start of the ep, but the ODM sakuga later on more than made up for it. Plus the new Jaw Titan looked amazing.

The death scene on the boat was nicely done, they changed pretty quickly from fast-paced action to a more emotion scene.

I nearly missed the after-credits scene though.

I thought this escape scene would have been in episode 12. now, I wonder what they're going to do next episode. And, how they're going to adapt the last part of this arc. A movie to conclude things wouldn't be too fun, I think, because it would have no kishoutenketsu to be satisfying enough.

Ahhhhhh! After the insanely tense last few episodes this one just went ham with the action. That Mikasa scene was godtier, and then we have Gabi being the sharpest shooter again to come in clutch and take out Floch. And then we cap it all off with Shadis showing up like a BAMF, and going out like a champ with Magath. It still carried over some of the strong emotional bests as well. Aaahhhhhh this episode was just stellar.

They really did change the vibe Floch gives in the anime compared to manga, where he came around as a coward. At this point with all of the changes made, he's definitely competent, can't call him a clown anymore. It's just the fact that they made him so competent kind of goes against what Kiyomi did to him in the previous episode, if they were going for this they probably should have removed that scene. It's more of a nitpick though.

It's a good thing, Isayama obviously hates Floch while a lot of people, including Mappa, don't, and it's better that way.

One of the better episodes of this season without question. The sakugas actually went berserk this episode in terms of both both action & narrative sequences. The ODM sequences & Reiner's CGI has never looked so better.

Mikasa gave even Levi a run for his money in terms of how ruthless & brutal she can be. She deserves more love from community after the ending backlash and this episode did her character a huge favor in terms of atleast solidifying the notion that SHE IS one of the most badass female character in anime.

We also have a new Jaw titan design which looks far superior than the former designs. Gabi's aimbot is on point yet again but feel a bit sad for my boy Floch though. He is just another tragic character in this messed up world.

Shadis & Magath were BYSTANDERS, both had power and position to incite changes among their respective worlds but always faltered at the hands of causality & the endless hatred cycle that entrapped them. They lived beneath the shadows of people who they deemed more worthy than themselves but atleast went out with their pride & notion intact knowing they could leave the rest to those same people and realising they were not unworthy to their fellow comrades and students afterall, a fitting retrospection before their tragic yet heroic demise

RIP Keith Shadis & Theo Magath

This episode made me excited at the same time it made me sad.

Alliance decide to go to Odiha.

Reiner and Annie did a good job of protecting them to go aboard and eradicate the Yeagerists as well.

Floch finally ends up died drowning in the sea by Gabi with her Shotgun and Falco Titan design is really cool.

The Sakuga in this episode is really good especially Connie and Mikasa Fight Scenes, MAPPA delivered it very well and also the OSTs is very suitable and fitting.

I also didn't expect Instructor Shadis to come to the harbor to help Magath sink Marley ship and eradicate the Yeagerists.

And after various battles, the Yeagerists now is gone and the Alliance win then goes to Odiha at the same time sacrifices Magath and Instructor Shadis.

Here some pictures:

Badass

Bye bye Floch and the Yeagerists

Falco instead of being the heir of Reiner instead became the heir of Porco haha anyway ASHES ON THE FIRE FINALLY BACK

What the hell are you talking about??? The animation is fine, thunder spear action is fine. the camera movements are done intentionally to focus on the action, if it were completely still it would be more cheap, static and more boring.

What I find more baffling is how you have a problem with Annie and Reiner shielding people with their arms. What else are they going to protect them? It’s possible they could’ve grabbed them and put them on the ship but that just puts them in danger. They’d have 1 single target.

So the Alliance and the hypocrites are really going to defeat Eren and let the world then annihilate Paradis in the end. I really wouldn't mind Eren rumble the world in all honestly.

Ending the entire world would at least leave a mark in the history of anime.

Floch's Rush was nice to watch.

Some nice Titan Action we got from Annie and Reiner again until they were out of steam and could not fight anymore, damn they got Annie especially bad with having her Titan's head decapitated... Glad she got out of it for now.

These scenes with Mikasa were Fire!
when she executed these guys,
threw a decapitated corpse on another yeagerist and blew them to pieces with the Thunder Spears...or rather she reduced them to blood splatter.
