| Hey, I'd like to ask for a recommendation by a member of the MRC staff (square #95). I don't really have any strict criteria, but I tend to enjoy manga where the characters are capable of being functional beings and rational thought, not being reduced to a singular feature such as shy, stupid, or strong. Such sides are fine in a character and fine to be their basis, they just can't be the sole defining characteristic, where a person has no other qualities (I hope I made that understandable enough). | I have a question about number (28) Read a manga with a score of 6 or lower. Can I use an manga that has N/A as the score or not. I couldn't find many manga with 6 or lower score, do you guys have any recommendation? For the number (105) Read a manga with an animal on the cover. Any recommendation? I am looking for a recommendation from a MRC staff member for challenge item (95) Read a manga recommended by any MRC staff. I prefer manga with a length of 3-6 volumes for now, but if it is slightly longer (less than 10 volumess) it is totally fine as well. But no less than 3 volumes if possible. 2. One question about (114) Read a manga with a one word title. Does it have to be a _word_ that can be found in a dictionary? Or does Dadadadan also count even though it is not a real word? 3. About (42) Read a manga with a target demographic that does not apply to you. Just so that I have the same definition of "demographic". I count myself towards the Seinen demographic, so Shounen demographic does not apply to me. Right? Then I can read a Shounen manga for this challenge item. |

Horror/dark stories are my favorite thing to read, but I also enjoy BL/GL and isekai, particularly the brand where they are reincarnated as a villain/ess. In general I try to give everything a shot, but I am definitely drawn to grittier stories or stories that subvert or deconstruct the genre in some way. |

| I just started the 2022 MRC and I have a question: I'm a physical manga collector and almost exclusively read volumes officially licensed and published in English. Therefore, I'm usually far behind the most up-to-date chapters released in Japan/via scanlation. Is there any way for me to specify this for the challenge so I can use on-going English release manga even though I won't be on the most recently published chapter? Thanks! |
