I went to watch Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in Hiroshima's theater.
Splendid anime adaptation. This movie is very faithful to the original. I already know the ending because I read the manga a few months ago but still amazing.
Visuals (Especially fight scenes), characters (Gojou is cool as always), music (King Gnu's theme songs are eargasm), voice acting (Megumi Ogata's voice fits Okkotsu well), etc. I was impressed with this beautiful love story. Definitely one of my favorites.

Incredibly excited to watch it after hearing this and numerous other comments on twitter and reddit. I read both 0 and the main series manga so I know what to expect but hearing how good of an adaptation it is makes me happy.

International release can't come any sooner!

That movie was LIT!!!!!!!
I went to the United Cinema theater in Fukuoka Momochi, and also got the 0.5 Volume as a present!

Yuuta Finally controlled Rika's Curse, and it was Apparently one of the only 4 Special Curse that exists! The entire bond between the two was so lovely 😭😭, and also, the other 2 men that we love and hate... You probably know who I'm Talking about...

The ending of the movie was great, the action was fantastic, and the new characters were very unique!

The after credits scene may had a sign for the 2nd season that may come... I believe it'll come though lol

Great movie, didn't read the manga so idk if it's a great adaptation though...

9/10!

damn it is a right decision from me to watch it not on the premiere date and 3-5 days after. Cinema really packed moreover during that midnight show on Christmas Eve XD.

WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING MOVIE, everything is really really good. Animation, of course it is MAPPA, they really did a great job. Music, damn when the music first dropped on youtube before the anime premiere, i have listened to it many times, King Gnu never miss. Character and voice actor really nailed it, many people doubt Megumi won't fit Yuta but it is actually fit.

With this i want to rewatch the first season.

Finally got around to watching it!
Goddamn what a movie, the animation is of course top-tier, sakuga was wild.
The soundtrack was fire!!

The story was not all that special but it held a lot of heart, and all that Maki goodness?? Oh my, worth it.

Yuuta is a great protagonist, he can carry his own show. In fact I would love to see a spin off with Yuuta and the gang.

Gojo was well cool as always.
It was great to see all the big timers in action, also Kyoto team was back.

9/10, only nitpick would be that some of the back story seemed rushed? Not sure.

Itching to watch it again!!

If you mean the scenes with Geto, then don't worry those scenes were not even in the original material to begin with, they added them to give a little depth to Geto. Those scenes will be shown again and will be more fleshed out in the first arc of season 2.

Someone spoil for me how much screentime that Rika character gets. That's the determining factor on whether I watch it sub or dub cayse I cant stand that japanese voice actor's breathy voice in anything she's in.

Yes, but you won't know any of the characters prior and it doesn't develop them a lot in the content adapted. So if you watch the first season beforehand you'll actually have a good idea of everyone who's in the movie covering volume 0 and actually have questions that will be answered in season 2 following the end of the movie.

It is beginner friendly since the story is actually based one year before the events of the first season of JJK. Just watched it today and it was awesome.

I watched it yesterday with my girlfriend and was surprised to see the theater packed. But I was happy seeing the movie do so well in my country (Malaysia) and with Covid restrictions. And I gotta say, the movie blew my mind. It was amazing and really exceeded my expectations.
The animation, sound effects was just so good and enjoyable. The plot was simple but made to perfection. And Yuuta's backstory was so emotional the end scene had me crying TT
And Yuuta's character development was top notch. And let's not ignore the fight scenes, every character's fight scene was just perfection.
Yuuta vs Geto's fight scene was just the best. The movement and animation was so clean and satisfying to watch, it was just beautiful. OST's were nice too and sound was booming in the cinema. Overall 9/10, 10/10 for enjoyment

Such a great movie. It's worth watching the movie at cinema. Many emotions showing up, sad, happy, glad etc. Not sure whether to feel happy or sad throughout the entire movie. Well, everything's perfect from start till the end. The only problem maybe just characters screentime just like any other movie. 9,5/10 it is then for me.

..

Edit: It also has a post credit scene

Just finished watching it tonight in Cinépolis MACRO XE Studio.

Oh my god!
My eyes are blessed with the SAKUGA!!

MAPPA once again did an Amazing job, the Animation, Music and pacing was very well done.

Yuuta Story was sad and tragic, Megumi Ogata nailed the role so well.
She is just so good voicing depressing boy.

I'm pretty sure i saw Yuuta did Black Flash once during his fight vs Geto.

I'm so happy the supporting characters that we know got some screen time as well.

Easy 9/10 Movie

Also don't forget there is an End Credit Scene.
Probably related to Season 2.

IGN reviewed the movie here https://youtu.be/FV3LhZo4e_E and gave it 9/10 score since ye its both a prequel and can be viewed as a standalone story too and that is rare for a battle shonen movie that are usually none canon side stories only

and just finished watching the cam rip floating around for days now and im a manga reader so i still remember the gist of the story, the sakuga is awesome, but damn they did not show how Todo fought that giant curse eh and Mei Mei got some action sakuga too plus Nanami action is the best out of the side characters

Maki x Yuta romantic ship hinted in the future? since Maki blushed

Got to see the movie today ! Loved it. It was very good entertainment.
I couldn’t pinpoint why i felt so protective over Yuta until I realized he’s voiced by Megumi Ota who voiced Shinji Ikari haha Yuta = Shinji if Shinji maned up earlier I guess. Such excellent choice of Seiyuu. I could feel the right level of angst.
I wonder what Gojo told Geto at the end.

Now I’m conflicted I like Yuta more 😱

Great movie! Went to see it in a packed theatre in Dublin yesterday evening- was great to see so many there! Was fun to see Maki, Inumaki & Panda given the spotlight - Maki is absolutely fire!
Yuta is an interesting character and his backstory was super endearing - had everyone in the screen tearing up near the end! The fight scenes were well executed and everything seemed nicely paced! 9/10 - can’t wait to watch it again

Pretty good movie.

Was Yuta in the first season of the anime? For some reason, I don't remember him. In fact, I kept thinking he would die at the end of the movie since I didn't remember him appearing in the anime at all.

I kept seeing Shinji in Yuta because of the way he spoke in the beginning, but I did like him a lot as a character. His circumstance with Rika, their curse and his eventual relationship with Maki, Panda and Inumaki was very endearing.

The only thing I'm curious about is that it sounded like Yuta only had Jujutsu powers because of being bound to Rika, now that it's no longer the case, how much power does he have? Is he like Maki now, needing to use weapons with energy embedded in them or does his bloodline and training let him wield some amount of sorcery power? I assume he is not as strong as before?

The animation was great, very stylish presentation and the action sequences were super cool.

My only real complaint about the movie is that the pace felt a little too fast but it was really enjoyable.

Got to see it on the pre-screening today.
Really liked it, wasn't really long or dragged out like the Mugen Train movie felt.
The story and narrative was pretty straight forward and I liked that.

Just wished we saw more of Gojo tho, but his fight scene was probably the best of the whole movie, I kinda miss the trio tho.

And I really didn't understand that post-credit scene at all...

I really enjoyed it.

Gojou of course not killing Getou, his best friend at the end. I wonder what he told him.
Also that after-credit scene with the chef from Kenya just chilling with Yuta and then Gojou appearing was so sudden. I really can't wait for season 2 now!

It was my first time watching an Anime movie in cinema so it now holds a special place in my heart hehe!
I am currently living on the high of watching it cinema so I am biased right now hahah.
I'll have to rewatch it again when it is released on DVD/Blu-ray to give a better rating. Currently 10/10 but it may change!

I went with my Japanese friend last night (2022.03.17), and of course we watched it in sub lol.
We both really enjoyed it and are now excited and waiting for season 2!

Everyone knows I’m notoriously anti shonen and a general hater of the demographic, but I have to give credit where credits is due. This was one of the best anime movies I’ve ever seen. Idc about the great animation during the fights, the general storytelling, direction, voice acting, etc etc were all great. Personally liked Yuta and his story more than Yuji in the main series 🤷🏾‍♂️. Free 10

I watched this movie in IMAX and nearly went deaf due to Rika's ear-piercing screams and that loud af music sequence near the beginning, so I'm giving it a 9/10. I'm glad they did my man Getou justice. That's the least he deserves after what happened to him... it's incredible to see how much yuta has grown. He was just a baby in the beginning and yet in season 3 he....

yuta isn't the fist fighting type, yuuji is. Just wait for season 2. There will be a ton of fist fights.

What do you mean? Did you not hear that kling in the end of that scene. Getou is dead dead. Gojo knew the danger of letting a threat like him live. He learned his lesson from back then.
