| I love openings. They have great visuals and nice songs. I've never had an issue with them at all, and I never skip them. However, I do understand why you might not like them. Also, skipping openings is pretty easy using the arrow keys. |

| If you had added "title sequences" to the end of your post, I would have agreed with you. I don't feel like getting spoiled the minute the anime starts lol. Worse with shounen series. I think you need to just suck it up and master the guesswork required. Don't arrow keys skip like 10 seconds or something as well? There's usually small lines in my media player/files that you can click to if you want to skip the opening. Not sure if it's on streaming services though. I torrent and am proud of it™ |

| Just take the time the OP starts and go to 1 minute and 30 seconds later? Personally, i love openings, they're typically a great way to foreshadow things that will happen in the arc. And they can be helpful in deciding if you want to watch a sries or not. |

| I love OPs, even if it's a minority that are really incredible and memorable. To some extent beyond independent musical quality it also has some connection to the extent to which you actually identify with the series. The only thing I dislike however is the seemingly modern trend of placing the opening after a minute, a minute and a half, or a few minutes into the episode. I just like to have it over with and have the entirety of the episode uninterrupted. It feels intrusive and out of order (OCD thing). |

| I believe that openings are a fundamental part of anime. Not only do the visuals often give added context to the show, but openings (and endings) are also usually used as theme songs to represent an anime/part of an anime. Take Jojo's as an example; part four wouldn't feel the same without the funky visuals and sound of the first opening: 'CRAZY NOISY BIZZARE TOWN.' Obviously, music is subjective; therefore, some openings might not appeal to everybody, but I still feel openings (especially when watching an anime while it's airing) help shape the feel and flow of the anime. Now, if you don't like openings because they are often left untranslated on streaming platforms, you can easily look up translations for said openings or look up the romanji to sing along. Then again, as I mentioned before, you can appreciate the art and visuals (which are also a part of openings). Thank you for your post. <3 Edit: Spelling error |
