Heh, it seems wherever Tao Ren is, he always has something to prove to himself and others.

This episode was kinda entertaining for having all that electricifying energy, thanks to Tao Ren. His fighting spirit is admirable tbh.

If it were possible to vote higher than 5, this would be the time to do so.

Far as I'm concerned this episode was an absolute perfection. I had so much expectations going into this episode and it delivered everything I could ever ask for.

Let's hope we continue delivering episode s this good for this entire part of the story, which many - and most certainly me - believe to be the best part of Shaman King

Tao's are proud and stubborn family.

Also why not just let Yoh dad fight Hao ? From how he was portrayed in this episode he can easily take him, Naruto, All Mighty, Saitama all at the same time down ...

We're finally at the halfway mark of Shaman King.

The story of the Asakura brothers continue its revelation, and everyone is just flabbergasted thinking about it. As for the rest, the writing on the wall that Hao would be the eventual Shaman King, and that puts pressure on others, especially the Tao Family.

Yoh's father Mikihisa personally going to Tao Ren to channel Ultra Senji Ryakketsu to him while in the presence of Chocolove and Horohoro, it's not the easiest of realistic vs. egotistical ideals of a challenge. If anything, Mikihisa brought Ren down his high horse, that'd teach him not to be proud and stubborn.

The boys are getting whacked by Mikihisa, how would they rise up to the occasion?

I liked the way Ren talked about Bason. He is an experienced spirit based on how many battles he has fought.

This episode was freaking crazy. Yoh's dad is really something. Wow. Anyways. Hao's mana is really high. Was it all stockpiled or something? Like dang.

Studio Bridge popped off with the animation on this episode. To be honest i think Shaman King is only getting better from here. Asakura Mikihisa made Tao Ren eat concrete lol, like'' Sit down boy'. Shaman King's score right now doesn't make sense, this anime should be at least a 7.10 .

That was a great episode! Only realized now that Mikihisa that was following Yoh and the boys a few episodes ago was Yoh's dad lmao. Mikihisa's cool as fuck though, fucking destroyed En Tao and also in the process of destroying Ren. But of course, Ren being as stubbon as he is ain't gonna get clapped without a fight. Romi Park popping off as always though. Looking forward to the next episode.

For a Shaman the only way to increase mana is to have a near death experience, have something happen that would pull your soul to the realm of the spirits and return to your body richer from the experience.

Hao has 1000 years of not just near death experiences, but actual death and as confirmed in the fight against X-3 he's a regular visitor of hell, to the point he got bored of it.

For the amount of time he had to grow his mana, 1,25 M is actually not very high. But he is as far as we know, the ONLY person to ever become a master of all elements and become able to reincarnate at will. So while his power is overwhelming, his real strength lies in being very, very smart, and well in the fact that even if you DO kill him, he just reincarnate again and come back later

1.25 million mana vs 10k mana, feels like a joke.

Yoh's father Asakurs Mikihisa is quite strong. He's moping the floor with Ren. Also Keiko still looks so beautiful.

Can't even feel sorry for Ren squirting blood like an overstuffed jelly donut still talking smack. Mikihisa isn't even using his Oversoul.

What amount would be "very high" in this scenario? And how do you actually calculate that?

I have no idea what amount would be very high, because there is no point of refference I can use. BUT there is a point of reference that tells us why the number he does have is not very impressive - other god class shamans, who not only have only had one life to grow their powers, in case of Jeanne they are younger than Hao's current reincarnation

Basic math concludes that Yoh's mana isn't enough to defeat Hao at the moment, and not even the combined strength of all other participants would be enough.

Yoh and Tao's parents meet each other in secret and Yoh's dad completely floors Tao's dad. It appears the key to Hao's defeat would be to teach the two boys Hao's own teachings in the Ultra Senji Ryakketsu.

Cue Yoh's dad beating the shit out of an overly cocky kid.

Novels I have read/am reading pending approval: since November 10 2022

just when yoh said that hao furyuu is 2.5m and he's "surely to win the tournament" i asked what ren would ask 2 minutes later lol. why making tournament to decide who's the strongest, when hao is clearly the strongest? it's not just bad writing, i'm sure of it. the series so far told us that anything had a reason.

yoh's dada is freaking strong. i'm more surprised that ren is still alive after his head being bleeding like this.

this episode was one of the best so far. with amazing animation finally. though amazing for this series. there are shounen anime out there with better animation. (fmab almost 15 years ago did better job)
