| This is a question to you Idol anime fans, what Idol Performance(s) do you think are the best in the "genre". What made you jump out of your seats and dance alongside? Not necessarily what the best Idol anime overall is, just the best performance. The animation, music, choreography all that good stuff Also, side question. Where do I start with Idol anime? I've seen Zombieland Saga and liked it. I think I'll enjoy Idol anime. Tell me the best ones. |

| Snow Halation is probably the most iconic/notable but the performances in Love Live Nijigasaki have some of the best looking cg/animation in my opinion. Music-wise it's all personal preference. If you're looking for idol anime to watch, you could try the idolmaster, Aikatsu, D4DJ (unconventional) or Love Live though they're more slice of life focused compared to zombieland saga. |

| Haven't watched very many idol anime myself - but I was always impressed with that one Ranka concert from one of the Macross F movies from a technological perspective. Would be so cool to have that technology for image projection (especially onto people) and for the stage works: |

| I have watched and read a great series called Full Moon wo Sagashite (https://myanimelist.net/anime/122/Full_Moon_wo_Sagashite?q=full%20moon%20wo&cat=anime) which was very heartwarming and the music is nice and soothing. Another one will be Nana series (anime and live action drama (https://myanimelist.net/anime/877/Nana?q=nana&cat=anime). Great music concert. |

| I've seen several idol shows, but few, if any, can compare to the singing performance of Eri Kawai (may she rest in peace) in Aria. It's technically gibberish (she uses made-up words), but it sounds heavenly. As if she was singing the song of angels. |

| There are too many favorites, and I'm always finding more! If you play any of the rhythm games, it's totally exciting to see a favorite unit or song adapted to anime. Definitely one of those :scream: moments. Here are a few categories that come to mind: Best Stage Theatrics: UtaPri Best Charm/Style: Trigger (Idolish7) Best Choreography: Ensemble Stars They have a lot of music videos... Exceed by Eden was recently released. Check that one out. Esp at 1:24. Best Song: Gyroaxia (BanG Dream AAside) Most anticipated for adaptation: BAE (Paradox Live) Best MV: Re:Vale (Idolish7) As for trying idol anime, maybe view some music videos first? There are some really fun and unique ones like Show by Rock and Hypnosis Mic. |

| Idoly Pride without a doubt has the best performances. I also like Pripara's performances. I hope that Primagi can offer the same quality once I get around to watching it. |

The other walkure look like side singers in comparison, mikumo has a good voice but frejya is the real deal. And mirage is just a soldier. |

Same. I really like the songs in Stars,especially Forever Dream, Miracle Force Magic, Message of a Rainbow, episode solo, the only sunlight, music of dream, etc, etc. It was the first cd album I actually bought because I like the songs so much. There used to be a mobile game with exclusive songs, but sadly the game is no longer available. Red Mountain, We Are Stars, and so on are amazing as well. As for the original Aikatsu, WM's Smiling Suncatcher, Precious stands out to me. Same with Lucky Train, Poppin' Bubbles, Chica x Chica and more! Given the amazing cast in charge for making the soundtrack and what-not, I had high expectations before even watching the series, and the series didn't disappoint. It's a great series both as an anime and as an idol anime, possibly surpassing idolmaster, and that's an impressive feat. Kiratto Prichan songs are great as well, but many of the best songs only appear in the last season (3rd season iirc), while there's only official subs for the 1st season. edit: as for Idolmaster, there are many great Idolmaster and Idolmaster Cinderella Girls songs that are only available in the game. |

| One has to bring up the performance at the end of the pilot movie for Wake Up, Girls. The dance number for Tachiagare is amazing and fully 2D animated, an incredible way to end the film and start a great series. |

| hmm literally anything from bang dream. ive loved the franchise for a while i was really excited to see it had an anime. ensemble stars has amazing songs but the performances (at least in the anime) arent too good tbh. same with love live. i love snow halation + many other ll songs though so id say the best performances were in bang dream and zombieland saga!! still havent watched too many idol anime but, maybe im just biased hahaha edit: forgot to mention actors songs connection, its really underrated and its been a while since i watched it but the performances were great. the character songs are also really nice ! |
