| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Being a NisiOisiN work, this is more like it. The Ouran Highschool Host Club setting, but made under Shaft and a detective club at that, while under the usual guise of the author's signature psychedelic backdrop. Mayumi sure got herself into a frenzy with the Pretty Boy Detective Club, beautiful boys with Monogatari-esque designs. Finding a star from her young days with a dream that has lost its beauty with the help of these shiny beauty boys, fangirls are drooling hard. Having a barbecue in the midst of figuring out Mayumi's issues, every pretty boy has their signature hits to the hearts of their clients, and Mayumi is no different. Well, this is a show alright for the fangirls. This show can be enjoyed by everyone who appreciates the duo-ness of NISIOISIN X Shaft. |

| Great, pretty much the same as the source material, except some dialouges skipped. Love the Shaft vibe as usually, exactly what I expected. ❤ mention why Hyouta is sitting like that, it's not just his gorgeous legs Btw, how much do you think the anime will adapt? I definietly think it will be more than the first volume, thus I'm even more excited for the rest of the episodes. Here's Yubiwa for you all recreating Sagrada Família. ❤  |

| Damn, those visuals were amazing. Well, what can you expect from Shaft. Pretty Boy Detective Club...hmm? Definitely can sense Ouran High School Host club vibes from this, as said by my fellow forum members above. This show is definitely full of pretty boys as expected from the title. LOL. Mayumi herself is really cute but now being surrounded by so many pretty boys must definitely be a dream for a girl. I'm interested in this show since it's Nisio Isin's work. |

That shining art is WONDERFUL, wow, it's impressive but on the other hand nothing surprising from Shaft, and that's basically a Nishio Ishin x Shaft anime so hype is at 100% So they're looking from a star, and that's the main girl's dream hmm, it should be interesting, these guys are all so skilled xD I can't wait for the next episode, I'm actually very interested now. |

It might even line up pretty well with the English release of the English version of Volume 3! Hyouta looked so precious I love him so much! | I was hesitant about watching this but when I saw it was Nisio Isin and Shaft I knew it was going to be a wild ride. So far, very impressed with the writing, characters and art direction. |

| I'm not sure if I'll enjoy this, or just consider it alright honestly lol. Like I love the style, and the characters are nice. But do feel I may get tired of it within a few episodes, but it does look stylish and pretty. |
| Interesting episode, great direction, music is also solid. Also, I've seen the episode with MTL subs, which definitely aren't good on Nisio's dialogue. | Still waiting on MAL to add the light novels to the database and approve it since I want to start reading the books I own badly... pain. At least I'm a bit optimistic about the books I got now since I got to see the premiere episode here and it was fairly solid. Not quite still sold to the characters instantly like I did with the Monogatari series or even the Medaka Box one, but still fairly interesting nonetheless. The script and writing definitely screams NISIOISIN for sure. |

| I didn’t realize until watching this episode how much I have missed the Monogatari style. While it has been toned down a bit compared to that series, the beautiful expressionist backgrounds are back. The characters are not the most original, but they all feel like their own which is very important. It has surpassed my expectations so far. |

| I am not entierely suer why, but I am somehow pissed off with myself for liking this show so much already. Why the hell was I ignoring the novels then?! Seriously though, it's amazing seeing how Nisio is even better at crafting husbandos than waifus. Mad props to the mad lad. Also, and it may just be because I've recently finished watching that show, but the Ouran High vibes I am getting from this club are off the charts. |

| So we see another "collab" between Shaft and our lord Nisio, what a good combo. We have flashy art, good voice acting as always, catchy story, interesting characters. So yeah, we have all we need. I'm just curious if the anime will also dive deep into philosophical talk like Monogatari or Zaregoto, The first episode it's a pretty good start, even if you're not a big fan (like me) of "Pretty boys" this anime is still very enjoyable, it does have potential, after all Nisioisin wrote the story. I didn't read the novel so i don't know what will happen but as far as i can tell, things will just develop nice. |

Regarding my choice of words. I'm well aware that I didn't exactly sugarcoat them, but you paint me in such bad light for, even tho I was trying to make concession to you. That alone should've given you a hint that I wasn't bearing ill will towards the fans. I try to be considerate when I can, but goddamn, this is an online forum. | Best animation of the season by far, and it's not even close. I look forward to seeing more from Shaft. As for the back and forth nonsense arguing... why bother? Either you like the show, and you stick with it, or you move on with your day and watch shit you like. Stop over convoluting how you spend your time. Can't believe people are up in arms over a pretty boy anime. If you want the stereotypical harem ecchi anime, there's tons of that out there for you to sink your teeth into. |
