Bugsnax 7.5/10 The bug designs were cute, and the whole catching-mechanic was fun. I also like how even though it's a game aimed towards kids it didn't hold your hand/let you figure stuff out on your own. Also, what everyone was saying about the writing & characters is right, they're written like 'real' people vs npcs with one personality trait if that makes any sense. For negatives, there's a few times the game softlocked on me, dropping framerates (but that could be bc I'm on ps4), and slow load times but they weren't enough to bother me. W/o spoiling much goddamn the ending caught me off guard |

Kirby's Dream Land - 8/10 Wow. This game is rad. It's a short and elegantly designed platformer. It's for the OG Game Boy but I played it using a GBA emulator which added a nice but subdued color palette that I find less obnoxious than the reskin in the GBC re-release of the game. You unlock a hard mode after you beat the game which is actually quite the challenge and I felt satisfied after those two playthroughs because King DeDeDe was crying like a bitch in the end. |

AI: The Somnium Files - 5.5/10 I'm impressed by thriller in this game. So many misinformation were throwing at my face and I didn't really know what the truth was. This game made me feel like a true detective striving for solving a difficult case and I love that feeling. But unfortunately that's all there's to it. I don't know why but the writer added a lot of ridiculous moments, which literally ruined my entire experience. I don't mind putting jokes in a game like this but it should be done in a more appropriate way. Overall, I like the idea but its execution failed me. |

YS 8 Lacrimosa of Dana PS4 8/10 A very pleasant episode to go through. The quest for 100% comes naturally and the story turns out to be fun to follow. The combat system is both simple and enjoyable. Each character has their own style, Dana remaining the most powerful in my opinion. Regarding the music and as often with Falcom, the whole is most successful. The character design is also very neat. |

Sonic Mania - 5.5/10 First official 2D Sonic game that I beat, so that's something. The save feature was honestly the only reason the game was playable for me. If not for it, it would've just been trial-and-error madness for weeks. Although it was kinda softened for a 2D Sonic game, I still found it alright. The soundtrack was as good as ever, the stages were more fun than difficult (with a few exceptions). It was fine I guess. |

Dark Souls 3 with Ashes of Ariandel and Ringed City DLC. I love Bloodborne and Sekiro and have played them before this. DS3 is just as good, though it's a bit easier than both Bloodborne and Sekiro. The DLC bosses were a bit weaker than the Old hunter's DLC. What I mean by weaker is the impact it left in me, not the difficulty. Difficulty of boss DLCs are okay. The playtime is okay, around 75 hours on both main game and DLCs. Difficulty is okay. Bosses I can do in two attempts, except Sister Friede who really kicked my ass and me sit down. I feel like she's too fast for this game, definitely a Bloodborne boss lol. I rate the main game 10/10, the DLCs 8/10. I'm playing some VN now. |

Tales of the World : Radiant Mythology Basically a games that is very standards on its story, NPC scripts and artworks. The quest is very repetitive and by that I mean it's literaly the same quest over and over again despite you traveled from town to town and music is utterly forgettable. The good thing about it is mostly seeing characters event, where the purpose is to revealing the backgrounds of the characters to get know them more and seeing them bantering each others where the dialogues I found quite amusing. The fact it is a basically self insert games where you create, control and modified the protagonist is also a plus. Maybe that's the whole point of the games but I still think it was a pretty bland games overall. Maybe 4/10 or 5/10. |

thedestinedblade said: 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim - 9.5/10 Awesome story, beautiful animations, top tier OST, and a great dub made the game such a unique experience. The only thing that could have made the game better was if they had gone crazy with the battle animations and done something similar to the Super Robot Wars games. I second this. Easily 10/10 for me. It’s been a long time since I’ve played a game that genuinely made me want to play nonstop. It’s criminal how little this game is talked about and known throughout the community. |

AI: The Somnium Files - 5.5/10 *Spoilers* Honestly, I probably ruined some of my experience by going into this game with too high of expectations. Firstly, I want to say that the music and VA performance were both fantastic, no argument there. Unfortunately the story and characters never really clicked with me. Maybe it’s because of the order I played it but I felt completely disconnected from what was happening. (I played through the left most route first) Characters Starting with my biggest problem, Iris. I never ended up liking her. Since I played the left route first, I didn’t find out her backstory for a long time which I think was a bad decision on the developers part to not also share her backstory in the left route. I know what they were trying to to do with her character (making her a bubbly and outgoing person who wants to make the most of how little life she has) but it just didn’t work. Without knowing her backstory, she just came off as obnoxious, manipulative, and super annoying. By the time I learned of her backstory, I was so disconnected from her I literally didn’t care at all. Even just thinking about the time I spent with her after learning of her backstory, it didn’t really change anything. Iris NEVER has any sort of change or development as a character. She’s the same at the beginning of the game as she is at the end. I honestly just couldn’t stand her and I’m sad that I wasn’t able to make that connection like others. Other characters were also pretty uninteresting or I never cared about them. Ota was fucking annoying as hell (although he had the best ending IMO) Pewter I didn’t care about. Boss was interesting but she also had zero development. Aiba and Mizuki were definitely the best and most interesting characters. Everyone else is not worth commenting on. Story and other stuff As for the story, when it was focused on the actual mystery I was interested. The in between SoL stuff was just pointless. Luckily the actual story was pretty good and had some good twists so I didn’t end up disliking this game. Unfortunately there were also many parts of the story that feel very stupid. There were so many times where the game feels like it’s telling me “Just don’t think about it, just go with it,” when characters make dumb decisions and things just happen because the plot needs it to happen. The Somniums were definitely the best part of the game gameplay wise. The “action” scenes might have been good if they were taken seriously at all. The first time they used the “porn mag action scene” was legitimately funny. But when they did it for like the 5th time during an actual tense shootout, it completely broke any immersion I had. Another thing I REALLY couldn’t stand was the fluff dialogue. Man, this game definitely has some of the worst fluff dialogue I’ve ever seen. Like, I get you want players to examine stuff and spend more time in your game, but if you have nothing interesting to write about what players are examining, then don’t write anything at all. Also, my god the puns. This was translated from Japanese to English so I definitely don’t blame the localization team. If anything, I feel bad for them for having to translate every Japanese word play into some shitty English pun. By the end of the game, I just completely stopped examining things. I know some people may say to play the game differently, but I am personally glad I played through the left route first as it was much more interesting. Again, my lower score probably comes from having to high expectations and for taking the game too seriously. |

Final Fantasy V - 9/10 A real phenomenal game. A loved the job system and putting it to good use. To see characters you built over the course of the game overcome the final boss is a very satisfying feeling. It's a shame I played the shitty PC port with stupid graphics and terrible UI. Still the game shone through and I had a wonderful 26 hours. Highly recommend. |

Jackie Chan Adventure (PS2). It was obviously a game for kids, the battles are so easy and the story is cartoony. The thing I liked is the games does tell you what your main goal is but didn't give a single clue what you supposed to do in order to achieved it, no maps and you are just using the environment to figure out how to continue the story, and it was quite challenging. Overall I consider it to be a decent game. |

Will redo the good and bad points ^^ Good : + Character design and ost + Finally freedom of movement after the directional rails of the first + More characters to use + Issues that make history exciting + Class VII is really a welded group of eclectic individualities + Sara-sensei bis ^^ Bad : - Some really predictables twists - Unanswered questions but still 2 episodes to go So way better than the first one. Would pursue the adventure with pleasure in the 3rd part anyway. |

Riddle Joker. (9/10) My route and heroine preference would be: Ayase > Mayu > Nanami = Hazuki. The heroines are great! Ayase's complex personality, Mayu's cute insecurities, Nanami's waifu tier material, and Hazuki's best reactions. Ayase's romance with Satoru can also carry the whole game itself. I am really loving Ayase's duo persona and I like how everything about her is "fake", even her astral ability which that really left me off guard. Seriously, good job Yuzusoft that they really thought through about Ayase's character. As for the story, I can totally see that this is inspired by Dracu-Riot, which that is a good thing for me since I also love Dracu-Riot. My only main gripe on Riddle Joker is I hope Nanami's and Hazuki's routes revolve more around the main story and this game will outscore my rating for Dracu-Riot by a huge margin but eh I guess more focus on the romance is okay since we are talking about Yuzusoft. Sadly, I found Nanami's and Hazuki's routes as being bland so I can't help it but to think that both Nanami and Hazuki are wasted on their own routes. |

OMORI - 8/10 Felt like a fusion of Earthbound and Yume Nikki tbh. It's got the wackiness and humor the Mother series is known for yet it's also got Yume Nikki's surreal horror feel at times. I can't really go into detail about the story without spoiling the whole thing, but there where definitely some issues with a few characters and big plot twist. Still a fun game though with a top notch OST and a really cool art-style. |

Days Gone PS4 8/10 Here is a new game in a post-apocalyptic world where you must in particular to kill "zombies" in order to survive. The scenario is far from stunning but we get caught up in the game and carry out the missions. The quest for platinum happens naturally because we want to unlock as many things as possible over the course of the adventure. The difficulty remains quite affordable except for the hordes which can slaughter you in seconds if you attack them head-on. I found that there were handling issues at times when trying to sprint which can lead to immediate death in the face of a horde. In the end the game was very fun to play. |

Resident Evil CODE: Veronica First I couldn't defeat the final boss (DC version on Redream) because I hadn't collected more powerful weapons along the way (AK47, magnum), so I downloaded a saved game off the internet and finished it with a rocket launcher. Then I beat the PS2 version, then the DC version again (this time I did collect those weapons). So yeah, I liked the game; if I didn't, I wouldn't have replayed it twice in a few days. It has its flaws, such as the controls that aren't ideal, as well as the fact that if you miss collecting weapons you can't go back for them later, but overall I did enjoy it a lot and I'll probabably replay it again in the near future. 8/10 |
