| That is sad. But I guess understandable. With only blood cells there will be a limit to episodic stories you can create. Should have focused a bit more on other stuff as well. I like this more than the Black one. Guess black will also get a max if 2-cour (possible 2nd cour/season also onyl 8 episodes then) - since it is a spin-off and probably won't run longer. |
| Very weird for this to happen. Kind of sad but on a positive side I have a lot stacked this season so at least this will lessen the load just over halfway through the season. |

| Simply not enough manga content to adapt into a full 12-13 ep show. That’s all. And that also means we may not get a s3 of this for some time soon unless the manga writer makes one ginormous push within a short time frame, which would go against everything taught in his creation, funny enough. |

| Probably the s2 will include the movie because if I remember good both anime are airing in the same 1 hr timeslot, so both have 13 episodes and this is listed with 8 ep in BD because the movie will be a separate BD |
| The question is if they fill other 5 time slots with variety specials or with movie simply spit into episodes. |

| Well, if I was being facetious, the original manga was on hiatus while all the various spin-offs (8 of them) were being made. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2020-09-25/main-cells-at-work-manga-gets-1st-new-chapter-in-2-years/.164476 The original mangaka Akane Shimizu was supervising all the other spin-offs, maybe too much to ignore her core series. Based on the posts above, it seems the unfortunate is so. |
