| For males, I don't particularly care all that much. I guess short hair. Something like this for females Ex 1:  (Asano Kusakabe from Grisaia) Ex 2:  (Misaki Kirihara from Darker than Black) A strand of hair in front of each ear and a ponytail. Perfect. I don't know what it's called though. |

| I can't think of anyone specific, but I'm a short-haired girls kinds person. Think from your ears to maybe around neck-length -- and choppy bangs ftw! If we want to get more specific, light brown hair is also very pretty; poofy but still somewhat realistic. =) Anzu and Yuzuriha come to mind. Especially in regard Yuzuriha - love the cut! And I think that was the first time I saw a bowl cut on someone like that in anime as well. Also because I never shut up about Yu-Gi-Oh, Allister|Amelda is pretty cool. Finally, I think tying up parts of hair is incredibly cute! Though I'm not sure what you call it. I haven't watched Clannad yet but Kotomi's hair is just wonderful; probably my just all-time favourite. Same with Kanisawa from Tsuyokiss. |

| I like hairstyles that fit the characters' personality. What I dislike is when characters have a boring generic haircut that's been used times and times again - up to a point where you get confused and cannot discern which character is from which Anime. A great example for this is when you compare Sakurajima Mai (Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai) and Yukinoshita Yukino (Oreigairu) without any reference. I always mix the two of them up because they look so alike and their hairstyle is essentially the same (Long black hair with bangs). If I had to choose a favorite hairstyle though, it'd probably be a tie between ponytail (short or long) and medium-long to long wavy hair without any accessories. Also, colored hair (e.g. red or purple) is a bonus. In general, I like to see creativity and artists trying to convey characters' feelings or personalities through their hairstyles. It allows to get closer to the characters and to better relate to them, in my opinion. |

Anime was it's best 20000 years ago, when cavemen drew art with real depth. Modern anime is all garbage. I miss great old days of anime. |

I'd have to say my fav hair style would be Howl's Longer hair on anime characters is MWAH chefs kiss |
  Long straight like Yukina and Zero Two, can be tied back up braided what ever. Usually they have strands of hair not tied back along the side bangs. Looks good to me. In the end I have very little preference I am fine with short, wavy what ever. I mostly like the way longer hair gets animated with the wind and flowing etc. Its like a super hero cape, just think it looks kinda cool. Longer hair has a more mature feminine look generally because of preconceptions and shorter hair is likely to be perceived as cute more easily I think. In the end as long as it is drawn well and has good movement I am good to go. |
