| Gin no Saki didn't "get" another season, they made 2 seasons in one go and just split the airing, that was known from day 1. |

| I suppose that a number of factors will apply to whether we get a 2nd season. I really hope we do have one, but I imagine that Blu-ray and DVD sales will have an impact. |
| I don't understand the Gin no Saji comparison, not sure about Barakamon's sales but the demand and sales were there to support it. Its manga was also top 10 sales last year I think. |

| Non non Biyori has an (unexpected) second season in the works, so even though I might be setting myself up for disappointment, I'm crossing my fingers the demand/sales gets Barakamon one too. I only just skimmed the manga now, but it's looks like it's still on-going. |
| I wouldn't be surprised, they ended on a good note that could spawn a sequel. I'm almost positive we'll get one, still gotta see Handa get first place yah know; and we still don't know anything about Naru's parents. |

| There must a second season! This is just the absolute best slice of life i've even seen; it just felt sooo different compared to others. The feeling was just the most touching thing ever. When I watch the opening, it's like I almost want to cry :') |

I did laugh or smile a lot when I watched Kenzen Robo Daimidaler. But I did not even smile for once when I watched 2 episodes of Barakamon and then I dropped it. I have no idea why people find it funny. The last two aired episodes of JoJo made laugh a lot and that anime does not even have comedy tag in MAL. |
| I was pretty satisfied with the anime ending, but I sure would like to see Handa-kun (prequel manga to Barakamon) animated. I don't think there's enough material though |

| In the chibi extras they kinda hint at this just being the beginning...butthat could be a loose metaphor for life itself and its ups and downs. BUt IM hopeful. As far as the pleasant and slice of life/ positive genre side of anime goes, this was one of the best I have ever seen. 8.5/10! COME ON SEQUEL!!! I wanna see everyone older lol HIJINKS! ^~^ |

| I really hope there will be one. This was a incredible anime! The way the first season ended was a nice ending, but by the way it ended there should be a second season. The manga has over 80+ chapters out, although only 44 are currently translated. Does anyone know how much the anime covered in terms of chapters so we know how much source material there is? |

| Only chance will likely hinge on how well this summer's Handa-kun adaptation does. Personally I'da preferred Barakamon Season 2, but oh well. :( |

| How can they not animate Naru again yet???! Ah my gah!! Chihayafuru saw the blessed revival with S3 after 6years. Why no Naru yet? 😭 *Sigh* self-debating whether to pick up the manga and animate & voice her myself in me head. |

They wrote that it was decided that Handa-kun was going to be adapted and since the series are too different they "insisted that they avoid making it a second season of Barakamon". |

Jeez dude, you need to actually check the information you're posting. Especially after you've been corrected. Again, she said she didn't want them to make Handa-kun the second season of Barakamon because it was too different from it, and she didn't want to potentially alienate any viewers that might not have watched Barakamon. In simpler terms, she didn't want them to call Handa-kun "Barakamon season 2". |
