Im kinda in tears after this long but emotional journey. Karasuno earned their spot for all their hard work. Their opponents put up a hell of a fight too. What is important is how both teams managed to show what they've learned.

Goodbye Haikyuu, definitely will miss u

Main team happy from the winning (lol @ the faces and KajiKaji's character's team left seriously (their next opponent)

Twins apologizing to proper guy?! Wow, the smile.

Some members of the main team are exhausted from the long match.

Showing other teams.

Reviewing their match on TV. Then showing various people's thought on valleyball. lol @ 3rd year combi.

OP from season 1 as ED.

Both team facing each other the next day.

Coaches from both team talk.

The feels ;_; not to mention the rare tasteful fanservice.

This episode almost felt like the conclusion to a series again, especially when the first opening kicked in with the credits. And it wouldn't be Haikyuu without another nasty cliffhanger. The Battle At The Garbage Dumb is arguably the most anticipated match and goal of the series. Don't mind waiting for it a bit more, as long as it gets the treatment it deserves.

Definitely had a blast again with this season, easy 9/10

Damn playing the first OP as ed of a season is always lit af. Finally the battle at the dumpster, the battle between the cats vs the crows, Nekoma and Karasuno's first official match is here and ofc that's where this ends XD.

Welp the production was bad compared to the previous seasons and it was visually really bad at times. But still it was a good adaptation overall so 7.5/10 from me. Hopefully they'll give us something as good as season 3 in the next match. Looking forward to the day we get season 5, till then goodbye.

Not sure if I can give this season more than a 6 or 7 overall. I rated part 1 a 7 but felt that part 2 was worse even though the content was more hype. It had really good episodes as well as possibly the worst episodes ever produced in Haikyuu. The drop in art/animation was noticeable and dreadful, pacing was jarring at times and the direction lacked.. well a direction. Really disappointing after the high that was season 3. Not sure how anyone can say with a straight face that this season was on par with what was produced in previous seasons.

Disappointing season overall, especially due to the visual inconsistencies and pacing issues suffered as an adaptation overall. That match was way too long too but I expected it to go the full distance like the Shiratorizawa match, except this match was a lot more disengaging than the Shiratorizawa one.

Great finale, nicely wrapped up.

Kita's conversation with the twins and the rest of the team after the match when walking back was emotional. :(

We had some glorious fan service, ton of nice short gags. Very nice. Couldn't help but smile when the first OP played.

Overall, another great season of Haikyuu. I don't really think there's anything left to say that I haven't said for the previous seasons. One of the very few shows that carries it's consistent theme across every season and it's nothing short of satisfying and engaging to watch. Can't wait for Karasuno vs Nekoma, I hope we get that new season announcement soon enough.

10/10, like every other season.

I really must say that Kita stole the show. It's been so delightful to watch him and his little speech at the end made me a little emotional.

Wonderful episode, superub conclusion to a perhaps flawed but most certainly not bad season.

Playing the first OP during the ED brought back so many wonderful memories. Although Inarizaki's slogan says "we don't need memories", I certainly cherishall of mine with HQ rahter fondly.

Well, looking forward to the match vs. Nekoma

I loved the previous seasons of Haikyuu but I don’t feel the same about this one. To the Top 2nd season was my least liked Haikyuu season by far, it was really boring imo. I remember having so much fun watching Haikyuu but they decided to put many backstories instead of matches in this season. I didn’t like the backstories and the animation was sloppy in some episodes.

Even though I hated this season, I’m still giving it a 5/10.

Omg, when Washijo's screen was showed I was like, "ayoo he's watching anime!!"

Ukai was such a dad at the end when he was talking about Karasuno and saying, “my boys”

Kinda sad they are gonna go back to their original uniform, the all-orange has grown on me. Hinata has been looking like s true clementine.
Already impatient for the next season, glad that they announced it. I hope it’s not just nekoma vs karasuno...that means we would need-

This season was pretty bad. It’s getting a 6/10... benefit of the doubt....I love haikyuu but this was just not it...

Also can we take a moment to acknowledge how emotional kiyoko was this episode?!? She was smiling and laughing so much plus the cries of happiness after they won the match.

Omg and when S1 Op started playing I started to tear up😢 the ending looked like some kenma x hinata shit lmfao

This was a fun match. Though I wish it could've been better though. Man. I really wanted to cry for Inarizaki because they literally got booted out the tournament after their first match, and I really loved them to the very end. I hope another season for Haikyuu comes very soon. I was so upset there was no announcement yet. Now the next match we all been waiting for aside from Aoba Josei, Shiratorizawa, and Inarizaki. Nekoma vs Karasuno battle of the garbage dump will finally come! I hope very soon though. I cannot wait any longer.

This season's finale was great. Karasuno deserves to be happy with their win.

Finally, after all this time the Battle of the Garbage Dumb is here. (Not really since we need to wait for another season).
I'll be waiting for it patiently.

When Karasuno won, Tsukishima looked so dead xD.

Well two teams enter the court only one will remain, goodbye Inarizaki.

Bokuto got a good amount o screen time this episode, the way he talked made me feel that he's going up against a crazy strong opponent for his next game.

Nekoma vs Karasuno...that game is gonna bring me to tears. Did I see Kenma smile?!?

Man, I love these consolation episodes after the intense matches and it’s cool how they finish up with a stand-off between the teams as well!

A ton of respect for Inarizaki taking this loss as they did. In particular, the Captain figure lighting some fire in his juniors was amazing! I don’t know how this series keeps on delivering on this note but it’s always a pleasure.

Tsumu-san’s declaration too, that’s nice to see. I feel like he has acknowledged that Karasuno has joined the elite ranks. But now, it’s time for the arch rivals in Nekoma. Good lord, there better a Season 5 because I need that animated for the love of my life!

Heartrending moments to boot this finale episode, the Karasuno seniors taking a moment to appreciate the work of their juniors, the joy in featuring on television, the girl’s out bathing followed by the montage with the 1st Op in the background, I just love this series. Caught up in advance to Season 4 Part 1 but I’m all in for the waiting game until Season 5 now!

And lastly, seeing lots of comments on the animation destroying the series and whatnot. I can see where some of the complaints come from and I, in fact, believe it hampered my enjoyment to a certain degree as well but Production I.G. still managed to up the ante when required so I’ll take it. It just goes to show that it is not easy to reproduce the quality of the first three seasons. With that said though, I do pray that the production schedule for upcoming season(s) will have a brighter aspect of this though.

All in all, it’s been a solid Season 4. Possibly enjoyed Season 4 Part 1 a tad bit more but Part 2 definitely picked up in the second half. As such, I’m giving this half a generous 8 in 7.5/10. Season 5, pretty please?

It’s been a while (probably the last being Shokugeki no Souma S5 and Oregairu 3) since I’ve let myself get caught up in writing somewhat of a blog xD but that’s just testament to what the series means to me. Let’s see what Jump Festa 2021 has in store for us, a Season 5 announcement would easily top it...

Edit: How did I miss this point? Goodness me. Let’s take a moment to appreciate the music. From the Miya theme to the good ol’ tracks, it’s been an exceptional company.

I watched until the very end because I just couldn’t skip the first OP song.

Oh man, I wonder if we’ll ever see the Nekoma match animated... Probably not anytime soon, right? T_T

Atsumu suddenly declared that he’ll set for Shoyo. It’s the first time Shoyo has ever experienced such respect, and he happens to be the star high school setter in Japan. They really deserve each other.

I’ve forgotten whose sister the girl with pigtails was lol

I really don’t understand how Tsukki has to be the edgy dude who leaves himself out of the group hug and ruins the festive mood by telling Yama to shut up every single time. He’s being really annoying.

An amazing episode to end the season, I teared up when Kita was talking to his teammates on the stairs after the match, it was also a shame that they went out just after one match. Nekoma also seem to be underestimated a lot by some people since they're a team that don't stand out that much. Regardless, this Battle of The Garbage Dump is surely going to be as hype as this one!

Like the previous seasons, I enjoyed this season as well despite some episodes being outsourced. The ride felt short, and the inevitable weeks without Haikyuu has started once again... It's gonna be a while after I get used to not watching Haikyuu weekly again.

Hope that there's going to be an announcement soon for the next season. Though, I do wish that it would start airing as soon as possible, it can't be helped that it might be longer than I thought since we are still in a pandemic after all.

Well.. as long as it's not going to be as bad as the wait for season 4 after season 3 :)

A nice aftermath episode to wrap up the season. These are always some of my favorite episodes, just seeing everyone unwind and decompress after a stressful match, and these episodes are always lighthearted and filled with goofy comedy. Hearing the OG OP play at the end was a nice treat too. This season wasn't consistently the best, but the last few episodes definitely helped redeem it a bit and reminded me of why I love Haikyuu so much. The stage has now been set for Karasuno vs. Nekoma, I can't wait for a new season so we can see this matchup!!

Overall not my fav season theres things that couldve been handled better but overall i still enjoyed the hell out of this season, i love seeing the intense battles and top players showoff their unique techniques and skills. TBH i didnt expect karasuno to win this season since i was holding Inarizaka in such high regards with how they were introduced into the show along with how good they are, but i guess it does make sense for them not to lose since we still need to see them vs Nekoma , and right now i feel like thats def the most anticipated match so far, In the end i expect karasuno to clearly win the nekoma match tho and the only team rn i can see them losing to is Itachiyama, Looking forward to whats 2 come tho

This whole season felt like an important set up for Karasuno vs Nekoma. Pacing seemed uneven, but I think it was intended that way. Almost loved the 1 st part of To the Top more with its chill mellow tone, character growth and maturing (Kageyama matured so much ahh). But I can see how people who loved Haikyuu for its quick dynamics could be disappointed.

To the Top 2 was focused on the match, but I could't start to care for the Miya twins arc. The episodes focused on personal Karasuno players arcs developing and peaking were really great content though and had me at the edge of my seat a few times. As well as Nekoma-focused episodes (happy that Kenma got more screentime). Tsukki narrating last parts of ep. 11 and 12 was the best. Happy that most fan favourite characters and friend groups/pairs got to shine (as much as screentime allowed it).

Can't wait for the next season, gonna be _extremely_ emotional.

Awesome episode.

Can't believe that the best written season of Haikyuu is also the worst animated.

I am simply blown away by the writing, so much that I think this match is my favorite simply based on what actually happened and on how much I love Inarizaki as a team, it's why it's such a shame that it was presented in such a boring way most of the time.

I felt like 3 episodes were really awesome when the rest was just plain coloring of manga panels.

6.5/10 for me. Can't wait for the Nekoma match.
