Heh, this anime's comedy still has its catch. That bird in particular brings in the humor.

Looks like we got more of Joutarou practicing. I'm honestly hoping he succeed in his future although he's got a lot to work towards to. Hopefully Joutarou can also take care of his body well enough.

While reporting about main guy's not retiring, there's also KajiKaji's character (finally appearing).

His coach not letting him stay, so he had to do training but he overdoing everything. Samurai actor start helping out, and suggesting main guy to acupuncture, one of the customers. He, okama physician, suggesting to do martial art (Taiqi?).

The coach kept telling him to rest, but he only thought of training. The physician made him realize it. Main guy apologized to the coach via dogeza. The coach was afraid main guy went to other clubs... KajiKaji's character visiting him and told him he is a shame.

ED is groovy for the title.

Joutarou finally realising what his coach wanted to say. Though him not giving up gymnastics was nice to witness.

The OP and ED are just too good.

Also, that bird is just funny.

Pretty good follow up.

The Tai-chi training was pretty amusing to watch and it was good to see Joutarou finally realize what his coach was trying to tell him all those times he asked him to take a break.

Loved the part where his coach told him, as a samurai he shouldn't be begging for forgiveness and I also really like the fact that his coach was really worried about him joining a different club.

The new high school kid is here and he's got a bone to pick with Joutarou. (Of course he does, right? xD)

Once again, the bird is too awesome.

I can understand how Jotaro feel with his own struggle, after he decided to cancel his retirement. The samurai gymnast back in action again? Its not so fast! He must learnt over his body first! So thats why, his coach even need told him to get out from the club for a while. Because he needed to clear out his mind first about the intensed training that in fact became the main cause of his failure. So, yeah, the first part, he began his own self training without any great progression happen. Even, he felt his power and body became more fatigued than before.

Meanwhile, Rei kept her cuteness on the background, caring his father so much and kept Jotaro motivated. Was that enough? Ah, that big bird kept adored me, and Leo had a job too, there. After then, he met with an eccentric man, that actually became a savior to Jotaro! Yeah, he was an acupuncturist with a lot of experience in an orthopedic cases, actually became his physical advisor! Thanks to him and Leo, Jotaro! Also that park scene kinda chilled me a lot. At least the surrounding peoples now acknowledged their determination!

So, thats it. The beginning of his carrier, continuing his cancelled retirement. Could he succeeded to come back? Meanwhile, that last scene with the boy, really intrigueing me. Jotaro reaction for the boy like, 'the fuck kid?' really amused me somehow, in the end. So lets see their next interaction then!

Joutaro finally realizing the big issue of how much trouble he caused to both himself AND specially his coach. The coach had enough of his athlete's ignorance -w-

I'm very found of Leo :3 He's so precious and have a heart of a child. How cute is that?? <3

Great episode! Can't wait to see big changes in future episodes and hope Joutaro doesn't get too reckless.

That's some tough love from Coach Amakusa. Britney is so funny! I guess it's fate that Leo met him in restaurant. lol. And Tetsuo thinks too highly of himself, kinda annoying.

You can call me an extremist but since Jotaru's wife is dead, I want him to re-married with the acupuncture doctor Britney. So that Leo will get together with the rising star highschool gymnast Tetsuo.

I imagine we'll see a rivalry form between Jotaro and the rising star high school kid, causing a clash between the old generation of gymnastics vs. the next generation.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Another great episode. Did they mention in episode 1 already that the wife of the main char was an actress? I can't remember them mentioning it explicitly but I remember a dialogue where the daughter talked as if her mother had been a ninja in some kind of movie. (Where I had the feeling the mother/wife was an actress.)

Narrator was nice. And the mother of the wife lol. I like her style. The coach reminds a bit of Carole & Tuesday (Gus) cause of his hair style.

So I guess the main wants gold again - since he had bronze, then silver. He wants a last try. And the coach wanted to stop him - cause he cared for his health. Very emotional when they also showed the pics of the coach and main char from the past.

Britney (NotSpears) actually seemed like some weird guy ... but then he really knew about health and didn't do only acupuncturing for fun.

Only annoying thing was at the end - I hope the new char will change soon. He is like some annoying shounen kid. The ninja gymnast guy is less annoying.

Another good episode!
I like how the plot is going, not fast but not too slow either and still got it's moments
Just a bit annoyed with how "silent" this episode is... the BGM using feels very minimal, remind me to tape for school drama, or it is just like that by director's request?

Jotaro got to take a look at himself while he was away from gymnastics and now he's come back even more determined than before.

That guy at the end, does he dislike Jotaro cause he didn't retire even with dissapointing results?

the colors are pretty cool as well. Found myself laughing a bunch of times (that bird's just--)

This episode was quite funny XD

Really like the refreshing vibe of this show, it also rises your motivation level.

Love the ED, it's mostly centered on Leo.

And Rei as usual so cute. When she goes “Bigbird urusai!” that's the best.

And Joutaro after so many years finally understood what his coach was trying to say...

So, that highschool prodigy will join the same club...

I want a grandma like that T_T

love Leo's naivety (/ω\*)

I really liked the introduction of the new characters and the tai-chi training sequence, was funny that at the beginning in the square everyone was looking at Jotarou weirdly and then they were all in the "lesson"

the ED is a bit chill but the visuals are very cute

That was a pretty good episode, really enjoyable. Man, I really like Rei she's such a good daughter.

Britney is pretty funny and it's hilarious when he gets angry lmao.

And high school prodigy looks to be joining the club probably because he's pissed at Jotaro, well looking forward to the next episode shame this show is not on many people's radar cause it's good so far.

Jotaro is really motivated, he wants to make Rei happy and that is really amazing.

He did get fired but still, he tries to come back and continue training.
Our new acupuncture guy is absolutely hilarious, I was laughing lots.
We all love BigBird.
We got the new guy, in the end, I wonder what he will do next.

Overall very nice episode.

OK, this episode is so much better of giving a storyline for the gymnast Samurai Jotaro.

Bigbird is always comedic, slowly warming to its sense of idiocy.

A redemption towards his family, and a much-needed comeback, but of course, discernment from his former coach released and disowned. Well, at least he has some freedom to deal with by himself through re-training. But a parent's pursuit goes further beyond than just work alone.

Ikebukuro is already weird enough, so for the acupuncture guy Britney, he's as a weirdo as he comes. All it comes down to is that he's a calm and collected character who knows how to inject humor at the right moments. Pretty nice that the taichi treatment is like what I'd imagine real-life elderlies to stimulate the weak body everyday.

Overworking without rest, is Jotaro's Achilles' Heel, even as Coach Amakusa have warned him time and time again. And a renewal from scratch, really hoping this ride to be a fulfilling one.

A wish-fulfilling promise...with the high school prodigy?

This episode ticks all the right boxes, and so I shall continue.

Nice episode and nice follow up from last week. This series just has a /vibe/, it's really enjoyable. Although clearly feels like one of those shows that is not for everyone tastes.

I'm glad Jotarou realized the meaning behind his trainer's words, he really was pushing himself without paying attention to his own body and mind.

And now Kaji's char appeared, i wonder how things will continue.

OP is fun but that ED is just so SO GOOD, i really liked it
"In the past few months since we met, I've shared many memories with Nagato. Though I've also shared memories with Haruhi, Asahina-san and Koizumi, I found that I've experienced more events with Nagato in particular. In fact, every situation seems to involve her. I might as well mention this, she's probably the only person to cause the bell within me to shake the most vigorously..." ~ Kyon, TMOSH

Joutarou's district sure is full of eccentric people. That Ayu girl looks like she came out from one episode of Asobi Asobase and Britney's introduction was... odd to say the least.

Overall, it was a decent second episode. The beginning felt a bit off due to so much comedy but fortunately, the second half made up for it with the focus being on Joutarou's physical recovery as well as on his relationship with coach Amakusa.

I've seen a lot of mixed opinions about this anime already but I have to say, I really like it. The pacing is chill and some people may find that boring but it seems like this anime is more focused on the characters rather than the plot which isn't a bad thing. The characters are so colorful and lovable so far!

This was a nice episode with Jotaro realizing that trying hard all the time can actually be detrimental to your well-being and progress. It's not a weakness to need to rest every now and then. Leo was as delightful as ever and the new guys seems.... interesting shall we say? haha

Love Rei so much, she's too cute and so mature.

This episode was sweet, made me tear up too.

Everyone in Rei's family stands out XD an athlete dad, actress mom, stylish grandma, and now Leo a foreigner ≧∇≦

Leo did a good thing attending the Parents meeting. He hyped up the atmosphere. And triggered Rei so she could speak her mind aloud.

What confuses me is why does Leo call Rei Rachel?

Anyway, I thought this episode would focus Leo's backstory or something cause they showed those suites wearing guys at the end of the previous episode...
