| Nope. Are you using LastPass? I use that and it causes that 400 Bad Request for some reason. Disable it, then do whatever you wanted to do and enable it again. |

| I remember that in the past there were people experiencing 400 errors when trying to login caused by some extension (uMatrix or NoScript for example) blocking requests to scripts loaded from myanimelist.cdn-dena.com. That was quite some time ago though so I don't know how relevant that is now. |

| I tried DuckDuckGo for a few days and now I'm in 400 Hell. Is MAL that finicky? The double-post thing was annoying (fixed now) but this issue has effectively prevented me from posting at least half the time. If this post goes through it'll be after multiple attempts and using MS Edge (for the first time). May be the last MAL post for me until I read that this is fixed. |

| Having the same issues, i'm using adblock plus, its disabled for MAL, enabling it temporarily fixed it, but after a while it came back, then disabling it fixed it again for a while, it seems i have to keep switching between the two, no idea why it happens |

| i use webroot and disabling the webroot password manager extension let me login. i enabled it after login but started getting errors again so i'm leaving it off for now |
| Was able to reproduce getting error 400, that people above described, by attempting to log in with Google scripts blocked, so i assume reCAPTCHA is to blame. |

It seems I need to enable lots of JS from google to post anything or login to mal now which is a shame because I really don't wanna have Google JS running all the time 2. And disabling it let me log in, however after the successful login it displayed the 400 error instead of the "successful login" dialogue. 2. Only seen it on myanimelist.net/login.php so far |

That being said, I agree--the security is trash on this site, and needs to be re-worked. |

| So glad I found this post. The issue has been ongoing for a few days but disabling LastPass allowed me to login, albeit in a less convenient way. |

Google's reCAPTCHA. I provided a brief explanation on how it works in this thread. Can't tell why using LastPass breaks it though, didn't use this extension myself. My non-educated guess would be that it allows you to log in from any page of a website by sending query direcrly, without loading the actual login page and reCAPTCHA scripts along with it. |

| I don't use LastPass (never even heard of it before) Browser is Chrome. As far as extensions go they are: Adobe Acrobat (convert web page to an Adobe Acrobat file). Tbh I've only used this a couple times in as many years so I'll probably disable it Go Back With Backspace -- been using this forever and would be a pain to go without ImTranslator Avast Online Security Tampermonkey which is managing a very useful script I use called MyAnimeList(MAL) Voice Actor Filter v1.4.1 None of those are new: been using them for years. The 400 error crops up when I post from Anime Recommendations. Pre-viewing the post usually triggers it also but not every time. Logging onto MAL is no problem (though lately I've been keeping the site open and at night just letting my computer go into standby rather than shutting down). |

Well there is an option to launch the login page with the credential fields automatically filled out but it won't allow you to just ignore the reCAPTCHA if it exists on the login page. Based on what I have been reading, though, it's not specifically related to LastPass. I hope somebody looks into this, as, again, it is beyond frustrating to deal with just for a single site out of the dozens that I use. |

Adding to this as I have started to suffer from this as well (on Firefox 79.0), where I am indeed using LastPass and only get the error after trying to log in (https://myanimelist.net/login.php?from=%2F) |

To anyone having problem logging in with firefox, check if your firefox version is 79.0 or above, and if it is try disabling tracking protection. They changed the tracking protection system and now it blocks MAL login page from logging you in for some reason. Here is how to do it:  |
