Its an improvement, first solid episode of story progression in a while. I liked this episode alot lots of Kohinata love, some Hotaru goodness, and even a shy and cute Yui.

5/5.

I'm glad the "meet Hirose on the hill" wasn't a trick set up by Hinata's grandfather. I was honestly thinking he had people waiting their to beat her or something.

This anime is actually getting better. I'm beginning to wonder if Hirose's uncle plays any important role. He seems to out of place, it's got to mean something lol. Also, does he even have a job? We always see him at home doing nothing but hes so jacked haha.

I though the same thing for a brief period, until Kohinata passed next to him and he said "This must be Karma" then i realized it cant be a trap :P

Better episode.

I noticed this: when Hirose goes to school with Hayami and Hotaru, he's about their height. But when he's on the hill with Hayami, he's way taller than her (even though she's wearing high sandals.)

Funny + romantic episode. From this standpoint, H2O started with a crazy gloomy mood but I'm liking it now. They say all good things must come to an end, so I'll sit back and eat popcorn for more of this animu.

Hahah same. As she was running I thought "those two guys are going to jump her I know it" Then noone showed up which really amazed me ^.^.

I liked this episode. I can't wait for the last three episodes. :\

A good solid episode that actually mean something compared to the previous one. It made me forget all about it. When finding out how his mother died, it gave me quite a shock as suicide is one of the most tragic ways to kill yourself for anyone in any state.

I'm hinting the last 3 episodes will be dramatic to end the series off.

Lol I'm hoping you meant siblings cause that would be a twist to find out Kohinta was a boy. Hamaji was scary enough XD

Nice episode. Though I gotta say I don't think Hayami would be as happy about not being chosen as she lets on.

It was still weak to me. Everyone is talking about an improvement, it was just... bland to me. I honestly could not of told you who he would have picked. It felt forced to me.

And why hasn't his sight gone again? Otoha's gone and he hasn't gotten over any of his issues...

My guess is Hirose's mother might have been the outsider of the town just like Hayami is now, and that's why he said "karma".

This episode still wasn't that great... At least last week's episode was remotely funny, this one was just lame until the last 5 minutes, which I thought were good. I'm curious to find out what they plan on doing next with the series since there is still 3 more episodes...

you know that it is going into a good direction when i'm not bursting out in laughter during a serious moment like when Hirose told Hayami that his mother commited suicide. With that said though, while I do think it is an improvement, it is still meh. The level has been just so low until now.

Let's add numerous plot devices too!

How the story is progressing thus far is similar to that of Kanon 2002. The general plot is laid in the first 5-6 episodes, then the character-centric episodes air in sequential order with no continuity whatsoever.

The whole arc interweaving is nowhere to be seen, which would be completely acceptable if it wasn't for kyoani showing us that studios can do better.

The biggest disappointment thus far is how Hirose can still see, which is a huge alteration of the source material itself. An adaptation is allowed some leeway concerning such changes, but this is like how Shuffle!'s Kaede got a complete makeover...

Anyhoo...3 more episodes...I hope the ending is somewhat decent. As in a harem ending!!! xD (hope the deep bond shared between Hotaru and Hayami extends to that of friendship) =P

Question is, what did Hotaru's grandfather mean when he said something about karma? "What goes around, comes around", but what went around, and came around?

He was responsible for killing Kohinata's family and making her life miserable. But now all these good things are happening to her and all the bad things are happening to him (ie. Hinata revealed who she was, Hirose isn't going out with Hinata therefor the family name wont last to long and might cause it to die out, He is now forced to prevent the town people from starting problems therefor making him self out to be the bad guy in their eyes...etc). Thats basically the jist of what he means when he said "What goes around, comes around".

I would not be surprised if for some reason the towns people turn on the old man in the end and Hirose ends up saving him once he finds out his true heritage.....but I'm probably expecting to much from this plot-less series lol.

That I must say was the best episode so far but seeing how the last one was complete garbage, I guess my standards have been significantly lowered.

But you definitely have brought some interesting points. This visual novel adaptation is really isn't doing such a good job. It had so much potential yet this was ruined pretty early on. At least somethings are beginning to take shape, like the romance element but there's not much it can do in 3 episodes to redeem itself. ^_^

great episode, the series is getting pretty nice. the reaction of the villagers towards kohinata made me feel like something bad is going to happen. bad ending, anyone? maybe hirose is going to be blind again (didn't hinata (the real one, fairy of blah) said something like that?)

I don't really care if it's a sad ending because the previous episodes really took the feeling out of all the characters. ^_^

Wow, excuse you.

And I'm hoping Hirose will lose his eyesight. That was the one thing in the beginning of the show that I liked and the fact that his sight was restored so fast wasn't too great.

It's entertaining
while it isn't deep in the slightest ,slightly predictable, and incredibly inconsistent, there's enough in there for me to keep watching.

I never expected the villagers to be so immature. Ok, so a teenager is finally having some fun with her friends, so they decide to burn her home down. That is so childish, like little children getting revenge or something. I really hope those villagers get their just desserts.

Seriously Adults attacking a high school girl is really pathetic. What makes it more pathetic is that it was men.
Still the first 6 eps were boring as hell for me and i just stopped watching this show. I was like i might as well finish this **** since i'm halfway and wow i am liking eps 6-9 so far. major improvement in this anime from the first boring half.

I know I'm pretty slow, but, if you look closely, it's actually pretty close, not taking the sandals into account, but also he was on a higher part of hill possibly.
