Yes nothing is stopping me from listening to music while reading manga. However the music in Aria is specific to the scenes/atmosphere. It became a whole to me. Whenever I hear the music I get brought back into the world of Aria. It's not the same when I pick music at random to listen to while reading a manga. I'm just not as good as the directors of anime in general to find the perfect music to go with it. Nor do I have the right resources.

But yeah, when I read the Aria manga, I do put on some Aria music. But overal I find anime more enjoyable. (I'm on my 3rd rewatch of the Animation at the moment.)

Drama CDs... Well I can't really understand that much Japanese, so I'm afraid that wont be helping me much. I did listen to one (with subtitles on youtube of Planetarian and that was fine), but most don't have subtitles I think.

Nothing is stopping you from listening to the music though, or even drama cd banter. You might even discover something you overlooked with the anime.

At least that's how I get more out of my manga or anything really.

I did manage to finish Aqua, I've been "reading" Aria since, I donno about a year? And well I'm not even half way yet. Manga isn't really my fav type of media. I like the anime a lot more over the manga because: Music, voice acting, animation, colours, music, atmosphere, the way the anime paces itself, music, voice acting and well the music.

I might give Amanchu a try, but I'm not hyping because it's from the same makers. I guess I'll see when it comes out. :P
