| Yoshii is quite the mysterious character, especially for his actions, I thought he was some benefactor but ended up killing both the owner and the prostitute. Meanwhile seeing Ichise suffering is once again painful, being thrown in the sewers damn... but seems like Ran helped him with her flowers. |

| The only anime I've never skipped the opening of. So fucking good |
| I need to know what flower that was, but probably represents something like salvation or innocence in flower language. So, Kazuho's idea is that true freedom is independent of everything, so he made the woman "independent" from the shackles of her life and the city? Lol. Creepy mustache man. At first I had the the thought of her killing herself (with a pill or something) but then Kazuho came to mind. . I assume she had planned to have pseudo-sex with him, and in the midst of that, pierce his eyes, so that he would be handicapped in future fights, potentially having the other opponents win. She likely routes for the opposition, under the guise of routing for him. That's what I got from it, anyway. But, since he smacked her off before she could disable his vision, she wanted revenge for being hit, and apparently had ties with the Organo mafia, thus, she had them cut his arm off, so now he really can't fight, at all, anymore. Now that I think about it, the woman from ep 1 literally had her nail on Ichise's eye, with him having seemingly no reaction to it at all. Were his eyes "natural" in the first place? Or was her piercing his eyes his imagination, hence the hit? |
| Kazuho Yoshi is a very enigmatic character indeed. I want to learn more about him and learn why he's out of place in this setting, seeing how he contrasts from the rest of the deadpan characters. I love how insightful and captivating this kind of visual storytelling is. Usually I'd be fast forwarding if a show was this slow, but as an entirety I have few complaints about what I've watched so far |

| I feel like I gave this show a fair crack with 5 episodes, but my god am I just so incredibly bored and disinterested watching this. I've tried to care about the characters and what's happening, but there's been absolutely nothing that's genuinely grabbed me, little of genuine note that's happened to justify 5 episodes (we could have probably gotten everything done so far in two episodes, if this series didn't waste so much time on awkward silences and overlong pauses for the sake of it). I wonder if I'd still like Lain or Haibane Remnei if I were to try rewatching them now, or if I would react similar to how I've ended up reacting to this vapid slog of an anime. |

| Poor guy man. We have another episode that ends with Ichise on the floor. At least this time he's broken free of those prison-like sewer tunnels rather than being knocked down. |

| A few things about freedom, the keyword of this episode. Shinji's freedom is tied to the city. Leaving it behind would rob him of his freedom. Yoshi seems to be perceptive about this kind of thing. Yoshi killing the prostitute probably means that he perceived she would never be free, either because he knows the world above wouldn't be any more welcoming to her or because she would never be able to leave the city. Ichise was robbed of his freedom, but Ran, and maybe more importantly, his texhnolyzed limbs set him free. The light awaiting him at the end may be a sign that his conditions are going to improve from now on. |

| For the surprisingly high amount of making out and implied sex in this anime so far, there hasn't been one iota of genuine love in any of it, even in the consentual scenes; which I think may be a subtle narrative gesture of how debased and hopeless the setting is. Once again, Ichise is stalked and beaten up by the Organo guys, but not killed. I wonder why he's considered such a significant concern for them that it's neccessary. I am starting to tire of Ichise just stumbling around aimlessly and making every situation worse for himself though, especially with the constant laboured breathing. Hopefully he "gets back on his feet" soon. |

| ill be honest, i was eating some food and i didnt even notice Yoshii kill the prostitute. I thought he had just killed the dude. Now, after going back to the ep, I do see saliva coming out her mouth and her eye open but she is unresponsive. wow |

| there has been nothing enjoyable about this im not seeing why everyone loves it. nothing has happened theres no explanation for anything. and this male mc im getting sick and tired of his huffing and puffing and falling down everytime hes on screen. maybe itll get better |
