| I suppose this kind of episode I usually have only two reactions to, HATE it or LOVE it. Nothing in between. About 3 minuets into the episode I was hoping that the entire episode would be about the fight over the hot pot. I was not disappointed. It just kept getting better and better. It was so funny. This series in general is very funny. I love how irreverent they are towards everything and all of anime. Nothing is sacred which makes it even funnier. I was really wondering if I really wanted to start a series with more than 200 episodes and no unified plot, but at this point I don't care if it ever gets a plot. Its a brilliant show. |

| I was worried that this was going to be a recap episode and considered skipping but I am so glad I didn't! That Death Note cameo at the end was a pretty priceless addition to a solid episode. |

| The freaking BEST episode so far. I was literally on the edge of my seat the entire time and I can't believe it! I didn't even mind the new OP after that awesome Itachi reference. That battle, those tactics, even the camera angles, everything was on point! And all that for a sukiyaki!! I dare say this is one of the funniest anime episodes ever... And the third season starts off with a blast! |

| Why does everyone think this was the first funny episode? I thought a lot of others before were but this episode only made me laugh out loud once. I've seen Death Note and didn't even get the reference and seen bits of Naruto but did not get that reference. I assumed when people said something about this episode had something to do with Naruto that they jokingly dressed up as ninja and I was disappointed that they didn't. I didn't find this episode that funny at all tbh. The only bit I laughed at was when the landlady and cat lady came in and bought actual beef and then looked like demons eating it before anyone else had a chance. The rest I found mildly amusing but it didn't make me laugh out loud. Then after all that Kagura decided she preferred pork which she somehow couldn't tell she had been eating before ... I didn't think beef was ever that much more expensive than pork. I prefer pork too mostly tbh. |

| Not my fave ep bc Kagura is my least liked character-- in fact, I don't think I like her at all lol and she kinda won in the end eating both pots of meat only to underappreciate the beef quality VS pork =____=' definitely not the outcome I was hoping for :( |

| I have to agree, the recent episodes do feel different than the earliest ones. Maybe it's because we're past the growing pains of establishing character traits and running gags, but the writing feels livelier and more varied now. |
