What Youtubers that focus on anime content whether it be reactions, top 10 lists, reviews of anime, and other things would you recommend? I have a couple to recommend which one of which is mine. They are: TheFlamingShark and kuramasgurl018 . There are more like Garrett Crespo that do anime content that I enjoy. Hope you guys will check them out and I look forward to hearing about who you recommend.

Yeah you won me over when I saw you were reacting to Ouran High School Host Club. I love that show. I did this mostly to not only promote people I enjoy but to promote my own channel too. I do reactions to anime as well if anyone is willing to check them out.

well I follow ForneverWorld (extremely toxic fanbase, basically Dragon Ball retards) He tends to recommend good manga so I like him for that.

The infamous Mother's Basement (hated on MAL for many reasons, one of them being his excessive hatred for SAO) He also do some tops, analysis over Openings (which I find interesting) and also makes some anime recommendations.

SuperEyepatchWolf doesn't talk about it all of the time but the few stuff I've seen of him is pretty good and interesting, I liked it and even learned quite a few things from it as well.

If you think that's all there is to why people criticize him then you're pretty much plugging your eyes and ears to a lot of the criticisms leveraged at his content and just replacing it with your own narrative, smh. Nothing except projection in this case.

I feel like it's pretty telling whenever the majority of ways people defend his content are stuff like this - "People are just salty that he hates SAO" or "They just don't like that he has sponsors" or something incredibly juvenile like that, even though that has rarely had anything to do with it in of itself and it's mostly a matter of how he implements these things in incredibly needless and obtrusive ways that gets on people's nerves, let alone how much he's let these things impact his own credibility through the way he implements them into his videos in hamfisted or even hypocritical ways, building these things less as a thought or opinion/necessary element for his channel to survive and basically forming the foundation of a character in as much. And that's not even all there is to it, there's a myriad of other criticisms he consistently lives up to that are completely removed from SAO or sponsors, like his general haphazardness in scripting and how he lets his tangentelness muddle his points and as a result makes ineffective communication. Sure, his OP videos tend to avoid a lot of the issues that plagues his reviews or topical discussion, I've admitted that numerous times myself as one of his most vocal critics, but y'know, a lot of the criticisms aren't leveraged at his OP series to begin with and are more aimed at his general content and when I (and others) bring that up it's literally bringing up something irrelevant to be an apologist to him - i.e. letting the integrity of my criticism be impacted just to not be so goddamn harsh on his content because there's so little to actually praise it for.

So please. If the only reason he sucked was because he hated SAO then people would target Digi just as much in the same way. Ironically, they don't, because even he doesn't tend to fuck up as much as Mother's Basement. But I guess that's the difference between the two - Digi is at least capable of making enough of a point to where his defenders can tend to express why they agree or get behind what he expressed as opposed to "lol u all mad because he dislikes SAO" or something, even though I often find myself expressing issues with Digi's videos as opposed to praise more often than not. I've yet to run into a Mother's Basement apologist that either didn't drop that line you just did or something about sponsorships, both of which are equally wrong to look at on a superficial level in terms of how it impacts the quality of the content he produces. He doesn't fuck it all up by disliking SAO or having sponsors, it's how he implements these aspects into his channel that make issues.

Are you mad or something? You didn't have to assume things that badly. I've seen people here saying that he exceeds on the SAO topic (And I agree with that) so I took that as an example, I wasn't saying that it is his only flaw. I focused more on saying what I like of him rather than exposing him like you did right now, if you want I can edit my comment then -.-

Ah, the way I read the initial comment basically made it come across like you were saying he's hated on here because he hates SAO instead of anything else, which kind of irritated me because people have tried to dismiss criticisms of him in the past with stuff like that quite often. I'll take it as miscommunication on my end.

As I've stated in other threads, Super Eyepatch Wolf is my favourite anituber. The amount of passion he has for the subjects he discusses shines through in every video he makes.

The unfortunately inactive Demolition D was fantastic too. Wonderfully unique sense of humour.

The number of followers is exactly the source of the cancer. The mean to get tons of followers is either to be funny or to stick with the mass' mindset. A youtuber will only succeed if he tells exactly what the people want to hear and will go on with the hype. That's literally the opposite of progression of ideas, because people will take everything the youtuber say and apply them as fact since everyone say it as well. It leads to the lack of diversity of opinion and just lead to some nonsensical trend like how A-1 Picture is supposed to be bad. That's completely ridiculous since it's not even people's opinion and they. will just go saying something like go watch this yt video if you don't believe me. The video just state one version of something. It's really hard to take these video seriously, unless you're really open to believe some random opinions which obviously try to embrace with the mass.

yep.. i agree LOL

the SAO hate is mostly due to youtubers... mainly... him.... then again its also helped with the popularity, so i guess in many cases its good that they do that, since constantly complaining about something tends to popularize it

but it'd be nice if anime youtubers didn't mostly stay in the safespot as you mentioned and only say what they think the collective wants to hear or will complain the least about

its borderline impossible to find a youtuber who is like me, they've existed and one was actually pretty popular however youtube kept telling his channels "NOPE", which i think forces at least some anime youtubers to default to the "ecchi/fanservice is bad unless..." mindset, which is part of the reason i stopped watching them

I'll admit that I don't really follow anime YouTubers anymore, at least not in the sense that I watch every upload and turn on notifications. Those that I used to do that were pretty small channels and for the most part are dead channels at this point (or they changed direction of the channel and never came back).

Though I do watch whatever pops up in my recommended. That's honestly most biggish YouTubers (from a glance at this thread anyways), plus a few medium sized ones.

That said, in my conversations with people I've noticed that (thankfully) the algorithm for YouTube recommended has spared me of anime reaction channels. Seriously, I remember I was on a thread on MAL made to complain about anime reaction channels and I was just over there confused seeing huge YouTube anime reaction channels that I've never even heard about. I also notice that over the years I've seen less and less "Top 10 anime with xxx" videos, which is a great thing. I bloody love the "Not Interested" button.
If your favourite character is Tsutsukakushi Tsukiko, you are my soul mate.

Been a long time since I've been here, I'll continue expressing myself freely and believe everyone should too.

I really enjoy kenny lauderdale's videos because he mostly does videos on obscure Anime titles (at least obscure to anime fans in the English speaking fandom) and even if it's a negative review, he doesn't come across as your typical angry reviewer.

My favorite anime-related YouTube channel is Weeabooze/Secret Otaku. Their bread and butter are conversations about specific settings, such as Setting as Character, Anime Cinematography, Meaningful Fanservice, etc. Basically it's 2-3 people bouncing ideas of each other. A shame that they've stopped doing podcasts but they still have over 60 episodes to listen to.

I was gonna make a joke about how they’re all trash.

But, feels pretty forced and even unnecessary.

Truth is, I just really DON’T like random people telling me their philosophical and “reviews” about fucking anime.

What I DO watch on YouTube regarding anime is unboxing videos because I like seeing people open stuff like Figures, DVD/Blu-Ray boxes and other anime goods.
