Chain Death Match in the Room of Dragon Decapitation. Interesting. So that Zepellin guy will die I guess.

While the Aztec Stone Mask is the ultimate weapon of death, Zeppeli stumbled upon the ultimate weapon of life that is Hamon Energy in India. Seeing Will's challenging training would be great~

It initially looked like they escaped successfully but that didn't last very long. Jojo ended up falling into one of the traps and was forced to participate in a fight to the death with Tarkus right there and right now.

Zeppeli’s destiny appears to be something heavy for him. Something he can’t tell anyone. I suppose he entered this as dutiful as Jonathan did when he told Speedwagon’s goons that he was okay losing his fingers if he had to, Zeppeli did this knowing that he will die. These two feel more similar every chapter. I wondered if he knew Jonathan would be connected to his destiny, but if he knew that he could stop Dio from using the mask to begin with, I also wondered early on if he could read the future but I don’t think either of those are true. Also, I've been wondering about destiny and free will in this universe and from his discussion with the master it seems that humans can make slight decisions which will alter the course of their destiny, but free will is slight in the sense that you get locked in. Hamon seems to have originated in India and Zeppeli happened to find those who used it when searching for the mask, perhaps the difficulty of the training is in mastering it over time, not learning the basics which Jonathan learned in a few weeks. We do see Zeppeli teaching Jonathan to utilize Hamon slowly but surely through this journey after all. Also, Zeppeli was a handsome lad!

A piece of information that is somewhat important came out here. With Bruford sucking blood, and talking about cutting Jonathan and sucking his blood I was deeply confused. I thought that by sucking people's blood Dio created vampires and vampires were weaker, controllable versions of himself, ones that could heal by sucking blood like he does. But there's no way he could have sucked Bruford or Tarkus’ blood so there was an inconsistency there, I was utterly confused on why Bruford wanted blood and not brains. I thought perhaps even zombies could suck blood and rejuvenate. However, this chapter stated that Tarkus can't heal because he's a zombie. Paired with the questions regarding how Dio even brought back those old bones, making Bruford be so bent on sucking blood seems like a weird decision to me, something that just made things confusing and didn't add to the story. Definitely not a fan of that.

Lastly, Tarkus showed off some insanity of his. All he valued in Bruford was supposedly his strength, even if we know that he is the type to sacrifice himself for those he cares about, his zombie self seems to have been honest. He lives to fight, he dove off a cliff with a smile on his face breaking his body apart on landing to chase our group. As soon as Jonathan tried to hide Poco and was caught by a trap he recognized it and sprinted over so that he could take part in the chain deathmatch. A chain deathmatch reminds me of the knife edge deathmatch in Yuyu Hakusho, even if only in name. This should be interesting.

P.S. I keep wondering what Poco’s narrative purpose is here. He was used as a trick so Jonathan would be led into Dio’s territory but now he’s just been a funny little kid who makes it harder to fight. Will there perhaps be a bigger narrative reason for him here I wonder.
