| Can't really say anything about Gaju's seiyuu since this is only his second role and I haven't heard his voice but Mako's is a perfect fit. I was kinda hoping and half-expecting Sumire Morohoshi to voice Mako since she also voiced Yachi in HQ which is also by IG. And that PV exceeded my expectations. It looks really good in motion, all those fluid small movements, all these catchy songs we've been getting from UNISON SQUARE GARDEN so far and thankfully the CG background characters don't really stand out which is great. It might look a bit awkward if you pause the PV and look at how long their necks are lol but I doubt anyone would really mind it when watching. |
| Yay! The Akagi siblings. I have a feeling this will be just 13 episodes season and we won't see the Queen who gets introduced so late in the story and takes it by storm! Hoping this gets a 2 cour adaptation! |

| Fujita looks a bit too tall, but otherwise this seems incredibly promising. Hopefully, they are keeping the HBIC a secret, for now, and will surprise us. If not, then this better be a split cour anime because Fujita's best character trajectory comes with Chinatsu. |

Yeah, the long necks is something I don't think I'll mind. I think besides that everything seems so pretty and fluid like you said. If this ends up being a 2 cour i'm going to be so happy but I can only see 1 cour currently as we've only seen the Akagi siblings and not Chinatsu. Fingers crossed for 2 cour or split-cour! I won't be bothered if we see Chinatsu or not tbh I'm just happy Production IG is doing this <3 |

This could potentially be really well-done, or end up like Yuri!!! on Ice and be a mild disappointment. Hopefully it's the former. It needs the two-cour treatment. fingers crossed |

That must have been this obligatory "MC must see female character in underwear to attract shonen readers at the start of the manga". True that when I see that, I automatically think it will be mediocre but the development of the story proved me wrong, above all with the 2 -3 last arcs. I wish the anime make it beyond the chapter 40 but it doesn't look like it :( |

I mean MAPPA is not a favorite of mine either but when it's about drawing beautiful athletic men and women, I think they are among the bests and they impressed me lately with their art in YoI and SnB virgin soul. I'm already not so sure about the character designs chosen for Ballroom e Youkoso, it doesn't come closed to the manga already but that was inevitable I guess, I would just have preferred something nearer to MAPPA's victor, charioce or azazel but well, it is just nit picking from me. And since the story is good and about sport, the studio wouldn't go completely wrong following closely the original material. Still about the art, I wonder how they will manage the dresses. That can become a lot of work for the animators. Looking forward anyway. |
