| Poor Rolo, being manipulated by Lulu who has extreme hatred for him. As if Rolo hasn't already had a bad life, but Lulu wants to break Rolo down. Not that Rolo doesn't deserve to die in the end or anything because of all he did, but he doesn't deserve it from Lulu. Lulu definitely is leaning towards the psychotic side. |
| Just noticed that tremendous character development from Season 1's Lulu. I remember before, he couldn't get Suzaku to join the Black Knights and now he's using his manipulation techniques on a guy that was ordered to assassinate him. Not only that but Rolo's power > Lulu's power yet Lulu is overcoming it. This show is simply amazing. lukey001 said: I love the mind manipulation going on. | What a great episode. Rolo's an interesting little dude, he's been a killing machine his whole life, his Geass is to freeze people and not stop time as Lelouch cleverly ascertains. And despite being raised as a personality less assassin, he's now developed feelings for his fake big brother the terrorist. This was a pretty smart way to maintain his cover. But I do question how Rolo will explain his actions here to the Britannians. Guess we'll figure out next time. They might just have bigger fish to fry, now that the Black Knight squad's been reunited. That was an awesome bit of ingenuity. Even though the Chinese dude marveling at Lelouch using the building itself against his enemy was kind of silly since he did in essence the same thing two episodes ago. Speaking of which I'm getting kind of confused by the Chinese plot. Why did Li kill the powder faced Eunuch? Why did he say at one point he was going to destroy the Black Knights? What is his end goal in all this? Guess I'll have to press on to find out. Also I like how Lelouch is such a Machiavellian piece of shit, I honestly wasn't sure if he would just sell out C.C. to keep his cover. But nah of course he wouldn't right? Yeah thank god. This episode might have had the juiciest ending hook yet. Suzaku is back at Ashford, presumably to determine if Lelouch has awakened. Fuck him up Lelouch, like at this point you could kill Suzaku and I wouldn't even feel bad. |

| Rolo's Geass is similar to what I expected it to be, in that it just stops time relative to a person's perspective, and not physically alter reality like Dio. Lelouch is pretty clever to get out of that situation with Rolo. Only someone with 200 IQ like Lelouch could pull a stunt like that off. Not sure I fully understand what the Xingke is going for, in keeping Kallen back only if Lelouch does something. Was he saying they could only act if he showed up? Then why did C.C. say they couldn't do anything when he did eventually show up? Lelouch managed to pull off another miracle, which was A+. I feel pretty bad for Rolo, all things considered. Don't get me wrong, I vastly prefer Nunnally, but Lelouch is totally using him. I can see why, though. Suzaku is back to school, huh? I miss old Suzaku and am not a huge fan of Suzaku being an antagonist like he seems to be now, but I am interested to see how this develops. |
