| This video has been going around social media like crazy and I want to know some opinions on it. The guy in the video is a white nationalist spokesperson and the person who hits him is part of the Black Bloc. If you don't know what the Black Bloc is, it's a group of people who dress in black and cover their faces and go to protests basically to start shit and make everyone there look bad. These are the douchebags who smash car windows, trash businesses and light shit on fire that has absolutely nothing to do with what they are "protesting" whatsoever. This video is largely being praised by most liberals and others as a positive thing, due to the guy being a racist. My question is, does that really mean that physical assault is warranted? Sure, he has a less than popular opinion on racial issues, but he's also in no way being violent or threatening at all. Does this mean he deserved a punch in the face, simply because he's racist? Furthermore, for those of you who believe that this is a positive thing and it is justified, would you think the same thing if it were a video of a black BLM member(or any organization for that matter) screaming "fuck white people, white people are the devil, etc" and some white guy ran up and cleaned his clock? I'd be willing to bet that this video would not be at all viewed the same way if it were a black person screaming about how much he hates white people (which if you use the internet would know isn't rare at all). That's just what I think though, so i'm curious as to what you think the reception would be if it were the other way around |

| There's an incredible amount of intellectual dishonesty surrounding Richard Spencer. I can guarantee everyone who calls him a Nazi, Klansmen, or fascist has never heard him beyond MSM talking points. I've been following him for nearly 2 months now. Listened to many of his podcasts. Go listen to Andrew Anglin, Red Ice, or any regular at the Daily Stormer. Richard Spencer is a moderate in comparison to them. He's far from a Nazi and is as much a white supremacist as Jesse Jackson, the NAACP or the Congressional Black Caucus are black supremacy advocates. His ultimate goal is a European ethno-state in which whites can live peacefully and not have to be at odds with other ethno-tribes. I think all of this is nonsense myself, but he's not promoting violence nor is he inciting an ethnic cleansing that would result in the death of non-whites. He even considers the prospect of having whites leave America and find their own homeland (namely Europe) rather than negotiating with minorities to go back to their own countries. So with the exposition out of the way, it's time to let loose the dogs of intellectual honesty. No, Richard Spencer is not a Nazi based on your baseless say so. No, Richard Spencer does not deserve to be assaulted because you arbitrarily define him as a threat to democracy. No, you don't get to meet a "microaggression" against your subjective feelings with physical violence. No, you don't get to serve as a vigilante and take your delusional sense of justice into your own hands. No, you don't get to arbitrarily define hate speech as "the promotion of white identity." And let's supposed Richard Spencer was a Nazi. First of all, he's committed no crime and has a clean record (aside from the hysteria that ensued in Hungary). Secondly, what would beating him accomplish? You cannot defeat ideology with physical force. He bore the cross for his movement and now he's red pilled more people as a result of this. Even I'm bewildered that I have to constantly leap to his defense because the people coming after him either don't know jack shit about what they're talking about or are proposing literal fascism to silence Spencer. Please people, come after him with a level head so I can stop defending a white supremacist above people I actually fundamentally agree with. |
