I have a decent circle of friends , But most of them are either normies , casuals or weebs ... Normies are no fun and being with weebs makes me feel stupid (Basically there are a very few people who can discuss anime on the same platform as me) .. So who would you make friends with?

There is always a weeb in every circle of friends. If you don't know who, it is probably yourself.

With that being said, weeb as friends are not that bad unless the only thing in their brain is anime.

So you're saying you're a weeb above other weebs?

Great look.

It's fine as long as they don't convert you too, unless you're already on their level.

Personally i'm not confident that i'd have much to talk about with a weeb, maybe i would maybe i wouldn't.

But i've talked to normies more than anything else and already know i can't talk with them, so i'd choose weeb. When i "talk" with normies it's usually just me listening to them talk about everyday life. Their job, vehicle, what they bought, some normal place they went, etc. and then they ask me about the same shit. I'm bored listening to it and i certainly don't have interesting answers to such boring topics either.

I just give short answers and it never feels like i'm carrying a conversation, even though my answers aren't much worse than what they say. I just wish they'd bring up something interesting for once.

I don't spend much attention to that tbh. If you are nice and just decent I can be your friend. Sometimes talking about animu would be nice tho.

I don't really fit into any group. Normal people just talk about others, Weebs just talk about anime and try to speak Japanese with each other, and although I'm friends with a few Football players, when they're together, they get into some kinda muscle head mob mentality. I can't even hang out with the nerds since they're all dumbasses. They just walk around all day talking about why time is the 4th dimension (which it's not). It just happens to be another concept we can somewhat perceive. Doesn't make it another dimension.

I usually just study in the library, read books, and type out my thoughts online, whether that be on a Google Doc or on here.

I'm not anti-social, I'm just introverted and there's no one I really respect. I'm still social around people I respect.

Does normie here include people who have other hobby like sports? If yes I go with normie. Weebs as you said will make you look stupid.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

I am a weeb if you use it to mean know quite a lot but I haven't actually seen that much. I have one friend who I would say is a weeb who's seen a decent amount of anime but rest are either super casual or just normies in terms of anime.

Anime is good, fucking deal with it.

I don't care what my friend's interests are. If they're cool, that's it. If they like rewatching Madoka Magica every Saturday, I don't mind. They can do whatever they want, they're still my pals.

I have friends of both types, granted i have more in common with the weebs but i do not mind normies sometimes but it depends on what type of person they are.

But either way, i do not hang out with any of my friends anymore because we have all pretty much gone our separate ways and live apart in different places so i just an a lone wolf with nobody to hang out with.

It sucks getting older, i wish i was in my teens again or at least 19-22 again.

One of the friends of my circle is a normie and he is great. Anyway, I don't talk about anime with my friends, let alone with other people I know irl, so I don't care.

With a weeb would be more difficult, because the cringe would be too much, and I'm a pretty shamefaced individual irl, who makes the thing more difficult.
If he/she likes anime a lot is fine, however, if it's of the type to say random Japanese words when we are not talking about anime and believes Japan is the superior country, then....
I honestly haven't meet a weeb irl

Guh... that's a hard question. I'd rather not make friends with either to be honest. Someone in between is ideal.

Normies can't handle anything Non-American and look at you funny for liking different things. I watch Let the right ones in, in it's original swedish and I get funny looks by them. Not very fun people.

Weebs are worse. Can't take an objective stance at anything and are too blindly obsessed with japan to take any criticism of anime. Also, they're hella embarrassing to be around.

What's the difference between normies, casuals and weebs? Is it that one watch anime and the others don't? If it's that then I wouldn't base my friends on it.

A normie is a basic person. Someone who fits society's mold for NORMAL almost to a tee. Casuals are people who dip in the hobby casually. They usually never find new shows on their own and rely on the recommendations of their more hardcore friends. Basically they can't really put in the effort to enjoy the hobby more. Weebs are anime lovers that love japan too much. It's hard to tell whether or not they actually even like anime as a medium since they're socially awkward. They usually randomly intersperse japanese phrases in their english, rip on dubs (even good ones for some reason?) and don't do well with criticism.

In High school I was the one out of the group that did watch more anime then the others but also had other things in common like music, comic books or videogames ,so there was always something to talk about, now though real world has his us all as young adults.

I take what I can get. As long as you're a decent human being and are willing to learn/discover in more than one aspect, I'll be fine with you even if you're not down for my interests or you think Japan is the best country ever although you've never even been to it.

Pretty much all of my friends are normies. Only one of my friends actually watches anime.
I wouldn't mind having more buddies that watch anime, but it's not really a desisive factor.
I make friends with people I like/find interesting, their hobbies don't really matter that much.

Sadly, I'm surrounded by them at school. They only watch mainstream stuff 24/7. There's this one girl in my French class who always goes "Kawaii desu" and says similar things. Believe me, it's really annoying.

Anyway, I have a casual anime friend and one who hardly watches anything because her dad blocked anime websites. All the other people are just ones I ignore. None of my other friends watch anime.

I have weeb friends dumb enough to forgive. They're like dumb in a blissfully unaware state, and I don't mind. They're more like acquaintances though. Then there are weebs that piss me the fuck off, 'going to Japan'(you sure as hell aren't), cosplaying, elitist attitude even though you watch crappy anime, etc.

A normie, hell yes! A normie might convert to being an real anime fan too, so why not. Besides, I don't have a chance with getting a hot GF that likes anime as much as I do, so I've gotta keep my options open.
