Pros: - Affordable health care - The Castle - Chris Lilley - Living in such a multicultural society has a lot of really cool benefits - Madman, the biggest anime distributor in the country, are awesome and Siren have licensed a lot of cool niche stuff Cons: - Once you leave the Outback (Where only a tiny minority of Australians actually live) and go into the more civilised areas we're basically just a mish mash of other cultures with no real identity of our own - The low Aussie dollar - While I certainly appreciate the benefits of a multicultural society, it can be a bit awkward at times because you feel like a foreigner in your own country - Hanabee, the second biggest anime distributor in the country, suck dick and care more about Rooster Teeth than anime - Bogans |

Saudi Arabia Pros: Culture is still highly preserved. Oil is cheaper than the air you breathe. Extremely low crime rates and high rate of stability Women can't drive (Yes I said it! Women are bad drivers) Life is easy with free education and healthcare. Cons: Too much desert lands. Lots of crazy extremist nutjobs. Some people are stuck in the stone age. That's it folks, didn't mention politics because it isn't really that corrupted nor that righteous. It's abit mediocre if you ask me. |

England. Pros: *Fish and chips *Pork faggots (look it up, they're a thing and they're delicious) *Haggis (technically Scottish but whatever) *Scotch eggs *British accents for those inclined. South for posh/chav, north for Scouse/Scottish. *An obsession with tea *Countrysides? Cons: *We pay TV licenses for "free" channels despite them all advertising every half-hour. *House prices are ridiculous. Especially in London. *To get a job you need experience, but to get experience you need a job. Volunteering often remedies this but it means you will have to work for free at some point. *We're surprisingly more xenophobic (and by extension, hypocritical) than British stereotypes would suggest *Our current government is basically Margeret Thatcher reincarnated, only she's returned with a vengeance and is out to destroy public services and the disabled as well as workers. They harp on about how morally wrong tax dodging is, while giving big corporations big tax breaks and we recently found out our prime minister has benefited from having off-shore accounts to avoid tax. When probed about it he called it a "private matter", but didn't mind having everyone else's privacies invaded when he tried changing online data laws in response to terrorism about a year ago. |

Pros -I live in the capital which is very new, and amazing looking and modern buildings -The country is very clean and streets are kept pretty clean. -Our government is not that corrupt at all. We live in a free country. -Seriously amazing food -Things are not as expensive as other Europe/Asian countries. -We have a seriously beautiful country wilderness and stuff. -Our people are friendly and extremely welcoming to other people -Low crime rates. Cons -Low life expectancy (71) due to mostly everyone drinking alcohol -Isolation. Our country is pretty big, which means we are far from everyone else -Most of our things are imported (Even our bread) -Very little anime fans. I got some people to watch anime in my school though. -Rent is pretty high in a lot of places. - Our Hospitals are trash compared to the U.S but we are slowly getting better. |

I live in Mexico We have a steady and growing economy, yet inequality reamains a problem. There's an obvious dichotomy white/indian - rich/poor, the browner the poorer. This is not absolute but it's there, yet racial relations are much better than those in the USA. Most things are actually cheap and even shitty jobs will get you a good meal for the day. Drugs are cheap as well, so it's good. Goods are always near you in shape of small stablishments, I'm able to buy medicaments, food, office supplies, hardware, etc just by walking 100 m. Despite what they say I actually feel safe most of the time. The police is useless when it's about doing the actual job. Religion isn't an issue. People are late most of the time. Public transport is deficient. Druglords are bad people and no one trusts politicians even if they don't know shit about politics, they were taught to just hate them. Among other things Also, Spanish is the language of God so it's a huge plus |

@lilcoffeebean I don't understand what you're saying. From my viewpoint you're either French or you're not and if you are that makes you a French Canadian. Majority of which live in Quebec for various reasons. Is it distinguished differently in Canada? |

@rekindledflame Yes and no. Obviously if you're a French Canadian then you're a French Canadian and the majority of French Canadians do live in Quebec. There is a distinction between dialects though, in a similar way to how Spanish in Mexico and Spanish in Spain are different, except in most closer proximity ofc. For example, I speak Acadian French which is quite distinct from what would generally be regarded as Quebec's French or even Metropolitan French. It's different in dialect as well as Acadians typically have a very distinct accent. It has more in common with Louisiana's French or what you guys call Cajuns (not Creole though) from an accent/dialect standpoint. So you find a small subset of people whether it be in France, Quebec or wherever, who believe they are the only 'true' French, which is quite ridiculous of course. I honestly didn't think a joke would need to be explained so much lol. It's kind of like Americans and British arguing over 'the real English' because you spell words differently and have different accents, except with culture added into the mixture. |

Spain -Food. -Cultural heritage and variety of places to visit. -Nature. -Very active nightlife everywhere you move. -People are in general kind and approachable. In general, though. There's some variety depending on the city. -Free healthcare. -Politicians don't know about the internet so every time they try to apply an anti-piracy law nothing happens. Cons -The Government is a shithole of retarded decisions and personal interests. -Politicians in general seem to believe that their voters can't think for themselves or can forget shit easily. And they get voted. -Institutionalized corruption in pretty much every level, political leaders getting directive jobs in major companies, favoritism, "no resignation" culture and more. -The media don't know the meaning of journalistic objectivity. -Economic recession, high rate of unemployment, high rate of bad quality jobs, low incomes... -The Monarchy. An endless source of corruption, impunity and shame. -Overpriced stuff like cinema tickets or public transport. In addition, public transport sucks. -Relatively low offer for film and anime. Distributors in general. Lack of awareness of the chances of internet distribution, though this is starting to change now that Netflix finally could get here. -Bullfighting and everything around it. -Laws that restrict the right to free expression and protest and are overprotective towards the figures of authority. -Lack of a wholly effective separation between religion and state. Article 525 of the Penal Code is a law against blasphemy in disguise. -This seems to be getting better but Spain has been known for a long while as the paradigm of slow and expensive internet connection in Europe. -Lack of investment on science and investigation. -Reduction measures that compromise the quality of public education and healthcare services. -We dont speck Engrish heer |

CatSoul said: United States Pros: -Free speech -Disney World Cons: -American cheese -Donald Trump is a legitimate political candidate -NSA -Cops keep shooting people for no apparent reason Cops aren't shooting people for no reason, it's always ALWAYS the victims fault. Even if it's something as small as a *cough* urban *cough* individual with pants 10 times too big doing that "sagging" thing If he's running away from the police and he reaches behind himself to pull his pants up it LOOKS like he's reaching for a weapon. In the eyes of a cop who just wants to enforce the law and go home to his wife at the end of the day, he's not going to stop and hesitate, he's going to shoot whether it's justified or not. Also, in *cough* urban *cough* areas. The kids there will pretend to pull a gun even if they don't have one as an intimidation tactic against other *cough* urban *cough* individuals. Yes, some cops can be bad, but in general no one is getting shot for no reason. Jamar Clark beat the shit out of his girlfriend then assaulted the paramedics when they were trying to render aid, the two police officers charged with shooting him had spotless records for the past decade. And they only shot him when he reached for their guns. Another incident, which I can't remember but the incident that sparked the "He's a good boy" meme, where the man who was shot was fleeing the scene of a strong arm robbery where he assaulted several elderly individuals and also got violent with police I've personally never even seen a cop pull a gun (even though white people are statistically more likely to be shot by police) because I comply with the police when they are affecting the law in a constitutional manner. |
